German Armies are currently in the process of invading Polish territory due to their refusal to cede the German city of Danzig and return it to the Reich.

Total forces - 31 Infantry divs, 6 Motorized divs, 10 Panzer divs

Army Group A - target Danzig
1st Army - advancing from East Prussia into Danzig - 7 Infantry divs
2nd Army - advancing from Stettin into Danzig - 6 Infantry divs
Special Group - advancing from East Prussia to cut off northern Warsaw - 2 Panzer divs

Army Group B - target line across the Vistula and San rivers, centring on Warsaw
3rd Army - advancing from Glogau towards Kutno - 9 Infantry divs
4th Army - advancing from Breslau to north of Warsaw - 3 Motorized divs, 4 Panzer divs
5th Army - advancing from Ostrava to south of Warsaw - 3 Motorized divs, 4 Panzer divs
6th Army - advancing from Slovakia to San river - 9 Infantry divs

These troops are already enroute. The two armoured columns (5th and 4th armies) have heavy air support, Stukas softening up forward targets, protected by Me110 and Me109 fighters. The airforce is not being used engage the Polish airforce, as most of their units are obsolete, and it is hoped that troops will simply overun their airfields. The Kriegsmarine has sent the Battle Cruisers Gneisnau and Scharnhorst to blockade Danzig and provide artillery support to troops operating there. High command sees no problems so far.

Danzig - The thirteen Inf divs of 1st and 2nd army have entered the cities outskirts. They expect little resistance as the enemy are vastly outnumbered. The Battle Cruisers Scharnhorst and Gneisnau fire shell after shell into the enemy positions.

In general, the infantry advance into Poland has been slower than expected. The Poles are putting up fiercer resistance than expected. The Armoured thrusts, however, have been very successful, as the Poles seem totally bereft of anti-tank weapons. After the first days hostilities the 4th and 5th Armies have advanced upto 50 miles into Polish territory.

(OOC hope this is OK, all I have time for today, if you can RP a defence I will respond tommorow)

OOC: I sent a TG to Tenarius, asking him to play Poland untill I get my connection, which mysterically refused to work, to do so again. Apparently he didn't notice it or something else happened. I type this from library, and even though I will try to do this as frequently as possible, it doesn't seem likely I can post more than one post in a two days or something. Hopely the problem will be solved quickly enough for me not dropping out of this game. I will make an IC post tomorrow from my friends PC, if possible.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
