The Phillipines, Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina(sp?), Croatia, and Tunisia have been admitted into the CIS. Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore are tinkering with the idea of applying for CIS membership.

[ooc to Sel Appa: I know that you're "God" on this thread, but isn't simply taking up nations into your bloc a little godmodish? It essentially puts those nations who are the fastest and the most willing to gather up a giant bloc of NPCs and control the world. Unless this CIS bloc [of which is a confederation of former Soviet states, nothing more] is simply an socioeconopolitical bloc, with no direct attachments to any nation, I simply say that this is almost like Norway rampaging through Sweden.] If you want WWIII, I'll give it; just don't go about securing all the advantages to yourself by violating a country's policy and simply doing things on a whim without any reasonable cause for it. Of course, if you want an all pro-CIS world, you can have it; just don't expect my kind to stick around for it.]

OOC: It's supposed to be socio-economic, with military protection from Russia. Those are probably the last nations to join and several former USSR republics will likely leave soon. Georgia, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan are considering leaving, but will probably remain under the shadow of Russia. I'm sorry if I'm godmoding. A US-EU bloc would still likely beat us. There is also the possibility of a split over some issue...maybe China selling weapons to Greece. I'll try to re-balance it if iy seems too powerful. Also, only former-Belarus, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan are part of the Russian Federation.

Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan have left the CIS and formed the Islamic Confederacy. Pakistan was invited and is an observing member. Turkmenistan declined its invitation.

Nigeria is concerned that we will end up on the bottom of the list of your countries to help in Africa. Even if it is possible to help all of them at once. Unless we may get some reassurances we may move to make ties with a country that can help us sooner and put us before that of another.

Quebec is interested in joining this Commonwealth, secretly of course. Can you describe it in a bit more detail?

TO: Nigeria
We have sent you several hundred humanitarian troops who will distribute food, seed, and livestock and help farmers learn modern techniques that will not harm the environment and increase production.

[ooc] I respect the position, especially your belief about how the US-EU bloc would still win...it still disheartens me personally when a world war becomes a "world" war - that is the whole world becomes involved, and it's at times like those that you appreciate neutral nations like Switzerland, because they remain the last bastions of civilization (you might debate this in the case of WWII, when some Swiss alleged helped the Germans). In my opinion, it is proper rather to leave things as they are, rather than form a world bloc. Africa wouldn't necessarily be interested in the wars of the Western powers; they've got such a poor program that they'd rather leave out of civility just to avoid having to deal with Western wars (they'd probably war against each other...). The Arabs are focused on the world economics of oil and Israel, trying to figure their identity into the world as superpowers without representation (like the UNWC in Durban in 2001, where the OIC almost black-mailed the entire UN into acknowledging Zionism as a form of racist thought, although there might still be some true in it). I would respect the world's neutrality; not every one wants to go war. It is more plausible that the few nations that get involved bring other nations later on when the conflict becomes insurmountable...over half of the Allied powers in WWII were countries that declared war on Germany after the fact, and in general they committed very little to the fighting [not to discredit the units that did serve in WWII]. So if the CIS is strictly a socioeconopolitical entity, let's try to keep it that way. I would have a greater respect of the people doing these things if they simply didn't swarm oer NPC countries like a shark frenzy, as if it made a difference in that way. I would just remind you that in all things, the UN will remain the supreme body of authority in innternational law and justice. By its nature, the EU is limited to the European states, so I can't go out to Brazil and say, "Join the EU!" No; I wouldn't want to do that either. The EU isn't a organization intended for expansion; it's a gentleman's club :) and all who reside within the prerequisites are welcome.]

OOC: I'll be trying to make the CIS area an economic powerhouse to rival the West. Hey, maybe we'll have economic wars instead. I've already proposed the idea of one currency, but it may not go through because the name is Russian(I don't see how that is a problem, but you know how those other people think). As you may or may not know, Russia is working on developing fusion and an ethanol industry. If we succeed, we'll be enormously rich because the Chinese will need lots of cars and lots of gas and if we supply a cheaper, more stable(not prone to international politics) fuel, they would jump up for it and Europe probably would to. This is why we are racing hard to get ethanol and fusion first. Also, I may soon call off troops from Albania...actually I think I will.

Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon have departed from the CIS and are considering the Arab League as a possibility for their own socioeconomic union.

I don't want to sound anal [although I probably already do], but I appreciate you going around "putting" sense into the nations that joined the CIS...not does it even the playing field, but it also gives others the opportunity to forge unique relations with those nations...CIS versus EU/ALN/NATO just seems to polarize the place too much...

The Republic of France offers its condolences to the said states; we encourage all CIS and non-CIS aligned states to sponsor growth, prosperity, and friendly relations with the other, in hopes to avoid unnecessary damage.

The Georgian Republic wishes to join in CIS. We are a recovering nation and wish to seek the aid and protection that the CIS can offer us. In time we may also help the CIS in their times of need aswell. We also would like to ask that the nation of Iran please back away from its aggresive boarder dispute in our Azerbaijan region.
