IC: Battlestar Galactica RP (FT) - Page 2
OOC: eh hem!
I contacted him first. Since we all want to talk to him, maybe we should just have the Columbia have their radios down. i will then send over some people and then we can meet them.
occ sorry just aiming for a backstory.
1010102: About your backstory, I've already worked this into my earlier posts:
Adam Mitchell, commander of Columbia, served on the Battlestar Galactica along with then Lt. Adama as a fighter pilot. He was soon on the promotion ladder, arriving as the commander of the Battlestar Columbia.
I hate to see godd backstory go to waste so maybe you could change your posts to saying, "I know the XO from flight school!" and so on... Thanks!
Onboard Battlestar Columbia - Port Hanger Deck
By the time Mitchell arrived at the port side hangar deck, the two pilots from the president's Raptor were standing beside their ship and looking around with dazed expressions. They were both commissioned pilots from Galactica, both had short hair, brown and blonde. One male the other female.
The two pilots turned to face Mitchell as he and his XO, Colonel Maxwell, approached.
"Well, it’s certainly good to see you two. Welcome aboard the Columbia. I’m Commander Adam Mitchell and this is Colonel Jonathan Maxwell."
He extended his hand to the nearest pilot, the dark-haired man. The young man immediately stepped up to shake the offered hand.
"How do you do, sir? I’m Lt. Andrew Webber, 'Hotcross'. It is such an honor to meet you, sir. I’ve been following your career ever since I entered the academy. We didn't think we'd ever see another Battlestar."
Mitchell smiled. He was accustomed to being greeted that way by young pilots. And while it did remind him of his age, it was still quite gratifying to his ego. Disengaging his hand from Webber, Mitchell turned to the blonde pilot.
"Lt. Kara Thrace, 'Starbuck'."
Both the woman’s eyes and her tone were cool and she deliberately did not shake the offered hand. Thrace... Starbuck... both the name and the call sign sounded familiar to Mitchell, but he couldn’t quite place where he had heard them. Then he remembered that he had heard about this young woman when she had been in flight school. She was supposed to be some hotshot pilot whom people had been comparing to Adama in his younger days. Mitchell also remembered that Lee Adama had mentioned her a number of times. But that was all words. Mitchell had not been impressed with this Thrace before, he was even less impressed with her now.
"So, I assume from your presence that the Galactica somehow managed to survive the getaway we afforded them back at Caprica?" Mitchell asked.
"Yes, sir. You gave us a great opportunity to escape but we thought that you had...," Kara said. "Some of our Mark 7 Vipers tried to engage, but they were all destroyed. They all just went dead. The Galactica had no warheads or missiles in her magazines, so we had to jump to the Ragnar Anchorage to arm up. By the time we had finished with that, it was too late to help the Colonies, so we jumped to the Prolmar Sector. Ever since the Cylons have been engaging us but we have held together. And now we've found Kobol, sir."
"So, that’s it? Our two battlestars are all that’s left of the Colonies, of the entire Human race?" Mitchell said, seeming to ignore her mention of Kobol.
"On the contrary Commander..." a woman in her late forties stepped out of the Raptor and onto the hanger deck. She was accompanied by a few others, yet she had an air of administration about her, something Mitchell could respect. Kara spoke up,
"Eh... The President of the Colonies, Commander.... Laura Roslin."
"Madame President, I was unaware that..." Mitchell was cut short.
"We managed to save quite a few civilian ships. You may have noticed the entire fleet of vessels with some 50,000 refugees onboard?" Mitchell scanned the womans face, she was intimidating. Something Mitchell hadn't felt in years.
"My apologies Madame President, I hadn't..."
"Commander, your ship nearly destroyed us. I hope that your skills of battle are not determined upon your skill at piloting this vessel. Kara Thrace felt nauseas. She had never heard someone, including her, talk to a Battlestar Commander with such tone. Colonel Maxwell's expression was furious. Who the hell did she think she was? he thought to himself. Mitchell took the comment with a pinch of salt.
"Thank the Lords! Well, that’s good news at least. How far out is the Galactica? I must speak to Adama at once! There is a Cylon fleet close by." Kara jumped in,
"Sir, the other Battlestars have not yet...", Mitchell raised his hand in front of her,
"The other Battlestars? Lt. what other Battlestars?"
Just then alert sirens began to sound over the PA. Incoming Vessels, Mitchell thought.
"We'll continue this later Lt., Madame President if you will excuse me." He waited for her to respond. She nodded.
"Colonel Maxwell, please take good care of our guests." Maxwell went stiff. he wasn't a party host. Mitchell made his way to the CIC.
Onboard Battlestar Columbia - Combat Information Center
As Mitchell walked in he noticed just how badly damaged the CIC was. They had been through a lot in the past few months. But she had held together.
"Status report, Mr. Denham." he called as he stepped into the center of the CIC. Lt. Peter Denham rose to announce his arrival,
"Commander on Deck." The crew froze at attention.
"At ease, Mr. Denham?"
"Yes sir, we have incoming Battlestars, five sir, including a cruiser, regestering as Trinity, Bellerophan, Olympic, Morphia, Andromeda, Belenos and Galactica sir. We are recieveing radio transmissions from the nearest ships, Bellerophan and Olympic, Commanders Dale and Archer sir."
"Well don't keep them waiting Lieutenant."
"Aye sir."
The old CIC loudspeaker crackled to life. Commander Mitchell spoke aloud.
"This is Commander Adam Mitchell of the Colonial Fleet Battlestar Columbia do you read?" The line wavered for a moment then he got his response.

Battlestar Bellerophan
"This is Bellerophan Actual to Columbia Actual. Please Authenticate identity with recognition codes immediately." Archer did wish he had to do this, but it was protocal. The Bellerophan CIC was silent. Then, the commander responded. The codes came in.. "Sir!"reported Petty Officer Sentron. "The codes are confirmed!" The CIC cheered. Commander Archer smiled and said "Command Mitchell, thank the Gods! Its good to hear from you. Im sure you have a hell of a story to tell us. But, now is not a good time. We are preparing to explore Kobal, so we need to set-up a perimeter. I am transmitting coordinates for ships to deploy to, to defend. After that, we need to meet. The ship you landed right next to and the ship below me is Cloud Nine, a luxary ship. We could hold a conference there. Im sure you are being flooded with calls. Hope we can meet later." Michael smiled, he seemed like a good guy...
OOC: Can you speed up about a day, showing people Adama finding the way to Earth. I have plan to lose the Bellerophan. But...its ok, Kobol is important. Just tell me when you need a story to get us out of Kobol. I dont think i will post unless the Bellerophan is talked to.

OOC: Can we do something like in "The Captains Hand" when a battlestar, or two in our case jumps away to find Raptors and gets caught in the same trap as them? We could do a long detailed RP and Belephron get destroyed then?

1900hours Enroute from Battlestar Bellerophan to Battlestar Galactica Raptor 232
Raptor 232
"Well sir, looks like repairs will take alittle longer, and we are gunna have to break in the equipment in Cargo Bay 4." reported Lt. Sitro to Commander Archer.
"What! You do know we will have to use these supplies for an unknown amount of time, could be years. These ships were built to last on its own for a long time, but we wont if we go through stuff like. Maybe i should ask Adama about me jumping back to Ragnar." said Archer.
"Sir, jump back to Ragnar? We would have to jump several times." said Sitro.
"With our jump systems better than Galacticas, we could do it faster than having the whole fleet go back." said the commanding officer. The discussion was over. There was some tense silence, until the pilot of the Raptor said they were about to land and that Commander Adama and Mitchell would be meeting him. Archer gave a curt "very good". The Raptor landed on the deck and the Raptor crew disengaged the ship and opened the door. The officers stood and walked out and went up to commander Adama and Mitchell.
OOC: adama and mitchell, if you could, please start from there, or after the first of you do.
Onboard Battlestar Galactica - Commander's Quaters 1750 Hours
The sound of the knock on the hatch to his quarters brought William Adama to his feet. He was surprised to find that his hands were shaking and his heart was racing.
"Come in," he called out.
As the hatch swung open and Adam Mitchell entered the room, Adama felt an overwhelming sense of relief. He had been on the bridge when Lt. Thrace's message had come through and he had seen, with his own eyes, as the Pegasus slided up alongside the Galactica. He had heard the cheers and applause of the bridge crew, but it had all seemed like a dream, until now. Somehow seeing his old friend in person made it all real. Standing close to two meters (6’3”) in height, he was taller than Adama, with an equally impressive build to go along with that height. As ever, he looked every inch the like the man Adama had given his friendship too back when they served together on the Galactica.
For a long moment the two commanders simply stared at each other. Mitchell stepped further into the room and closed the hatch behind him. Adama took a step toward him, his hand extended, but Mitchell pushed it aside and pulled the older man into a rib-crushing hug. Chuckling, he returned the gesture. After a long moment they stepped back from each other. Adama gestured to the leather couch and the two of them sat.
"You look younger every time I see you," Adama said.
"And you’ve got a few more gray hairs, Old Man." Adama smiled at that.
"I’m sure I do. There’s nothing like trying to deal with 50,000 odd civilians to age a man prematurely. But, thank the Lords, you’re here, now you can carry some of that weight!"
"How is this even possible?" Mitchell asked in amazement. "How did you all survive? I’m not even sure how we managed to."
"It will all be explained soon. I’ve called the other commanders together for a formal debriefing in about an hour. If you could bring some of your people over as well, we could answer all of each other’s questions at the same time."
"Yes, an excellent idea. I’ll contact the Columbia in a moment." He looked down at his hands for a moment and took a deep breath. "Lords, Husker, this must be hell for you. You’ve lost everything. I was never all that close to my family, but I know that you and your ex-wife still were. And I never married or had children, so I can’t even imagine how hard it must be for a father to lose both of his sons."
"Both?"
"Yes, I got that last report from the Fleet that confirmed the destruction of the Solaria. I am so sorry. Lee was a damn good pilot."
"Adam... Lee wasn’t on the Solaria. Admiral Negalla thought it would be a good idea for him to take part in the Galactica’s decommissioning ceremony. He wasn't on the Solaria at the time of the Cylon attacks... He’s alive."
"He's alive?" Mitchell asked, his voice catching slightly.
"Well, where is he? I’d like to see him."
"He'll be attending the debriefing."
Onboard Battlestar Galactica - Port Hanger Deck 1900 Hours
As the Raptor from the Bellerophan was being towed down the hanger deck, Commanders Adama and Mitchell where there to greet it. The Raptor came to a halt on the deck and the flight crew disengaged the ship and opened the hatch. Three officers of the Colonial Military exited the shuttle and walked toward Mitchell and Adama. Although Mitchell did not recognise them he knew that one of them was the Bellerophan's commanding officer.
"Commander Archer of the Battlestar Bellerophan, reporting as ordered sir!" The man in the center spoke. He and his officers were at attention.
"At ease, Commander, good to see you. May I introduce Commander Mitchell of the Battlestar Columbia." Adama gestured to Mitchell.
"I believe we have already spoken, it's good to see you in person Commander. I'm sure you have quite a report compiled on your last few months, I look forward to hearing it, but we must also discuss the issue of Kobol." Archer said.
"Likewise, Commander. I myself am pleased to be back in the company of the Colonial Military." Mitchell replied, seemingly ignoring the mention of Kobol.
"Well then in that case shall we proceed? We will meet the other commanders in the conference room." Adama said and began to walk.
Onboard Battlestar Galactica - Conference Room/Office of the President
Lee entered the Galactica’s wardroom, which had been converted into a makeshift office for the president, for whenever she came to Galactica. He found President Roslin deep in conversation with a man in a Colonial Military uniform. But he did not recognise him. At least not at first. Adam Mitchell. Commander Mitchell of the Columbia. How the hell...? There were two other officers standing nearby that he didn’t recognize and assumed they were with Mitchell. After a few minutes, Lee was aware of Mitchell's gaze falling on him and he turned in his direction. He saw him nod and say something to the president, then turn and begin walking towards him. But before he could reach him, Commander Adama and Colonel Tigh entered and Lee quickly moved to his father's side.
"Sir, is that Commander Mitchell of the Columbia?" the elder Adama looked behind him too see Mitchell.
"Yes, the Columbia's found its way back to us. He would like to speak to you." the commander said absently, his mind already moving on to the matter of the upcoming meeting.
He looked around, checking to see if everyone whose presence he had requested had arrived. There were only two missing. Lt. Gaeta, he knew, was on his way from CIC. Adama had no idea where Dr. Baltar was. The man had agreed to attend the meeting, but he had been so oddly distracted at the time, that perhaps he had forgotten.
"Shall we begin?" Adama announced to the room of Battlestar Commanders.
"We’re ready when you are." replied Commander Friscatti of the Trintiy.
Adama gestured for everyone to be seated at the long, narrow conference table and he began the introductions. The only people Mitchell had brought were his XO, Colonel Maxwell, and his CAG, Captain Hayes.
As the last of the introductions had been made, Lt. Gaeta slipped into the room, apologizing profusely for his tardiness.
"It’s all right, Lieutenant, we understand," Adama said. "Say, you didn’t happen to see Dr. Baltar wandering around, did you?"
"Uh, no sir."
Adama nodded. It was amazing to him that a man, who was supposed to be a genius, like Dr. Baltar, still managed to get himself lost on the Galactica, despite having lived on the ship for over two months now. Even the president’s young aide was now able to navigate the corridors with ease. With a sigh, Adama was about to start the meeting, when Dr. Baltar finally arrived. The man looked somewhat out of sorts. He mumbled something about getting lost and quickly sat down.
"Well, now that we’re all here, let’s begin," Adama said. "You will all, please, note that there is no person or device recording this meeting. That is because there may very well be some things said here that must not be repeated outside this room. Your utmost discretion is hereby ordered... For now, Commander Mitchell, if you would please tell us how you and your ship managed to survive?" The room fell silent. All eyes on Adam Mitchell.
Mitchell described the Cylon ambush at Picon. How the Columbia was among other Battlestars that had escorted the flagship Battlestar Atlantia to the presidential parade on Picon for Colonial Day, when the Cylons suddenly attacked. How Colonial Fleet HQ was wiped out within minutes, and the only reason Columbia had escaped was because of a pleading, albeit forceful order from President Adar. How they had been infected with a Cylon virus that ravaged through every system, that compromised the network drive for the FTL engine cores. How lucky they had been to escape. How thay had jumped into orbit of Caprica only to witness another Cylon attack. How they gave the Galactica the chance to escape by creating a distraction. Mitchell had ordered a collision course be set and they rammed the nearest Basestar. Went right through its center and out its other side. All systems where down. Columbia was a mess. But somehow Denham got the NAV controls online and they made a blind jump. They had been lost ever since... until a few months ago. Basestars began appearing out of nowhere and began attacking them. How they integrated the fleet from Libra into their crew. And how they had been trying to return home to the Colonies to launch a counter-attack on the Cylons.
And more recently how they had evaded destruction from five basestars by jumping straight into the fleet!
"I just hope that we haven't led that Cylon fleet right to you." Mitchell finished.
"That may have been the intent all along," Adama mused.
"You make it sound as though the Cylons have been deliberately manipulating us."
"It’s possible they have been... I believe there may be more Cylon spies hiding in the fleet."
A general outburst of unease followed these words. As Lee looked around the table, he noted that only Colonel Tigh and Dr. Baltar did not seem particularly shocked. Even President Roslin appeared taken by surprise. Lee found it interesting that his father had evidently trusted Baltar with this sensitive information, but not Roslin. After a moment, Adama raised his hands for silence.
He proceeded to relate the Fleet's story to Commander Mitchell. He also relayed everything that they had been able to learn about the Cylons, the corrupted navigation systems, the planted Cylon device, and the very frightening reality that the Cylons could now pass as human.
"My Gods," Mitchell breathed, "for some reason that navigation system never worked properly for us. We had nothing but problems with it from the day it was installed. It sounds like that’s the only thing that saved our lives. Never thought I’d be happy that a vital piece of equipment on my ship didn’t work. But I gather from what you’ve said that we can get it off our Mark 7s and be able to use them again?"
"Yes sir," Lt. Gaeta spoke up. "We’ve had complete success with refitting our Mark 7s."
"Well, that’s something, at least. Well, Husker, what now? If I’ve got Cylons on board my ship, how do I find them?" Mitchell asked Adama.
"First thing we need to do is have your ship searched for any Cylon devices. Lt. Gaeta and Dr. Baltar can take the lead there. They have a pretty good idea of what to look for. Did your ship undergo any repairs just before the Attacks?" Adama said.
"There had been someone over from the Fleet every few months for the past year, trying to get that navigational system to work."
"I would start my search there," Adama said. "That could be how they’re tracking you."
"I’ll contact my chief science officer, Lt. Gannon. You and Dr. Baltar can coordinate with her," Mitchell said to Lt. Gaeta. "She’s good. I trust her completely."
"Yes sir," Gaeta responded.
"Now, what about these possible spies?" Mitchell asked.
"That will also be Dr. Baltar’s territory," Colonel Tigh said, gesturing to the man. "The good doctor has developed a program for detecting Cylons."
As all eyes turned toward the man sitting at the end of the long table, he looked up nervously. It almost appeared as if he had been interrupted in the middle of a private conversation, but there was no one sitting near him.
"Oh, uh, yes," he stammered, "I have developed a, uh, clinical computer subroutine which can screen hair samples for syn-synthetic chemical combinations. Y-you see, it works by...."
"Yes, yes, that’s very nice," Mitchell said, interrupting. "I’ll ask Lt. Gannon to assist you with your tests as well."
"Oh, ... that’s not necessary," Baltar said quickly. "I’m sure, I can manage on my own."
"It’s quite all right, Doctor. I insist. If you’re going to be testing my crew for a traitor, I want someone I trust standing nearby to verify your findings."
"Yes, ... of course," he said meekly.
"Good, now that that’s taken care of, what are we going to do about this Cylon Fleet that could very well be following us?" Mitchell said, turning his attention back to Adama.
"Do? ... We’re going to run. It’s all we can do," President Roslin spoke up for the first time.
"With all do respect, Madam President, we have five battlestars, and between our ships, several full complements of Vipers. A few Cylon Basestars should be no match for us," Mitchell said confidently.
"And what about the civilian ships? How would we protect ourselves? I'm sorry Commander but we resolved this issue a long time ago. We are not going to counter attack the Cylons, we are running!" Roslin said firmly.
The room was silent. Mitchell turned his gaze to Adama, looking for answers.
"She is correct, commander. The survival of the Human Race is more important right now. I have made my desicion to support her in this. Unless we are directly attacked, we will not engage the Cylons in a counter strike."
Mitchells expression went blank. No counter attack?... What the hell do these people hope to achieve? Colonel Maxwell could sense the Commander's frustration. Silence in the room. Then Mitchell spoke.
"If you have made that desicion sir, then I'm right behind you on it!" The tense atmosphere in the room eased. Several of the other commanders where relieved to hear Mitchell say that. The last thing that was needed was a split in the fleet.

in the Galactica's sickbay Boomer was sleeping with a field dressing taped on the side of her face and not making much sense to anyone.
The Doctor confided to the pilot who had found her, Lt. Alyssa 'hotrod' Rossi "from what I can make of things Sharon's mentally disturbed. it could be the stress of what we've gone through. This was a suicide attempt and I'm taking her off duty for a while until she gets help"
Alyssa nods and wonders what got into her friend.

with the battlestars escape for now it still served as way of tracking the fleet. Number 6 had felt what the Sharon model was going through and asked another Sharon model what would happen.
"she'll carry out her orders" she says "Commander Adama will die sooner or later"
Bellerophan
Battlestar Galactica 2000 hours
After the other commanders talked about how they had arrived to join the fleet, Adama spoke about their flight from Ragnar and their attack before reaching Kobol. Archer stared at Adama, and they caught each others eyes. The ranking officer nodded to Archer and he stood. Archer retold the Bellerophans trek to joining the fleet all the way up to their recent encounter. He paused. Then, he spoke of the recent boarding party on the ship. He talked about the slaughter of his marines and the quick save from another commander. He then spoke about the device that the Cylon centurions had placed inside a bulkhead in their ship, they had removed it and attempted to perge any new software, but were unsure if they had gotten it all. He then looked at commander Adama. "Sir, you have been saying that we must run, but one of my subordinates suggested that one battlestar jump back to Ragnar." Michael could see that Mitchell was shocked at this, but agreed and Archer also saw that Adama was about to flip-out but beofre he could do that "Commander, if we continue fighting the Cylons like we just did, we will run out of supplies in a few years and that would be with out a civilian fleet in need of military supplies. What i suggest is that the Bellerophan and an emptied cargo ship do several jumps back to Ragnar, it would only take 2-3 weeks and if the fleet stayed at Kobol, they could easily rejoin. With the suppliesin that cargo ship and loaded in Raptors, cargo bays and any extra equipment , the fleet could live more months. If other battlestars came back, the supplies could hold the fleet for a year or two.." Archer was about to continue, until Adama stopped him. "That is quite enough commander! We cannot risk losing soldiers and ships for supplies, if we must, we can ration." In a burst of passion Archer spoke again "but sir.. if we dont find a planet or go back to ragnar, we wont last forever. And what if we are out here for years, you dont know how far Earth is away from here, it may have taken the colonists years. Do you have a plan if it comes to that?" The room was tense, as it had been when Adama and Mitchell had clashed. Now it was Archer vs Adama. Quickly, seeing that this could be bad, President Roslyn,in her infinate wisdom, spoke up about a completely new topic. The two commanders sat down and ignored each other. The meeting continued...

"What you are forgetting, is that Ragnar Station nolonger exists, as you remember i ordered charges placed around the primary power generators and Tileum Fuel storage tanks, when we departed the charges were detonated, the last telemetry reading from the station, just before we moved too far through the ion storm to the recieve transmissions indicated massive fires on all decks and a reactor meltdown only minutes away, within a couple of hours the station would have been a ball of molten radioactive slag, we cannot go back to Ragnar"

Colonel Friscatti spoke up saying "we really need to find allies rather than trying to look back to Ragnar and the home worlds.
theres lots of planets out there and some of them are bound to contain civilisations that could help us with our supply problem.
However in the meantime we'll do what we can. My crew chief is already using badly damaged vipers for parts and metal skin to keep ours running and our factory ships need to keep producing spare parts and bullets otherwise we won't be in the fight for long.
The current cylon tactics seem to be based on brief engagements and wearing down our viper squadrons. once the vipers go our ships will be easy targets.
we need new pilots as well as vipers and a training programme needs to be started so we'll have enough pilots to carry on this war"
###
while Boomer slept she had weird dreams and recieved her orders. her first task was some sabotage on the Galactica, specifically the water tanks..
Onboard Battlestar Galactica - Conference Room/Office of the President
"Colonel Friscatti, I do believe that these new viper recruits will likely come from the civilian population? Well I am not about to declare mandatory drafting so if you want pilots then the military will ask. We'll set up a screening programme for recruits. Thats as far as it will go." Roslin was adament about that. She did not intend to turn the lives of these people into military ones without their consent.
and what about supplies ma'am, will the colonists begin to work for the military, to help it, in their jobs and work? or is it the other way around?
Onboard Battlestar Galactica - Conference Room/Office of the President
"You will understand Colonel that these people are civilians. And as such are not required to 'help' the military in manpower in any such way. I have already made clear however that if they so wish to join the ranks of the Colonial Fleet they are free to do so. But I will also make it perfectly clear that the Colonial Fleet will not force them into service!"
before sitting down, Commander Archer said one thing "Its commander ma'am, not Colonel." The group discussed alittle more and then ended and Archer stood, saluted all the present officers and turned and left. He headed down toward the hangar, got in his Raptor and headed back to Bellerophan.

with the meeting concluded Colonel Friscati sent out one of the Trinitys raptors to investigate Kobol.
ooc: lol, ended fast.
IC: The Commander saluted and curtly walked out of the room. He only spoke when they were secure on his raptor and his pilots were to busy to listen.
"That woman...."he said to Lt.Sitro "i still dont get how Adama gave into here. I mean yes, we need a civilian government, but...she" he growled. He hadnt been this pissed in a long time. since the exodus. But, he had to focus on the mission and his ship. With the extra troops from the Battlestar they had rescued, and the minimal losses, the ship was better off than some of the other, less manned ships would have to recruit or redistribute the crews. An announcement came out across the military line that Adama and several other crew from Galactica, along with the president and several religous persons. They were looking for the city and home of the gods.
ok we should really stop the "stopping and going" thing

as the trinity's raptor appeared in orbit over Kobol they soon realised they had company.
"holy frak theres a basestar here as well" Lt Rickold reported from her station to Lt Byron the pilot.
after sticking round just long enough to get an idea of enemy forces they retreated back to the Trinity with the bad news.
Soon Colonel Friscatti reported this to Commander Adama..
ooc: i thought we were already at kobol?

ooc: Kobol was discovered earlier but the fleet hasn't jumped there yet. one basestar shouldn't give the fleet any problem although :)

OOC: No, we could destroy it in seconds
"Sir, we just got a report of the recon of Kobol. They say there is only One basestar" reported Lt. Sitro
"ha, one basestar. i dont want to sound cockey, but i think we could take it down in just a pair of us. We should take it ASAP and explore Kobol." said the XO.
"I concur, but we should wait for Adama. Contact Galactica, request jump prep."
Aye sir

"Permission Granted, Cruisers guard the fleet, all basestars jump to Kobol Coordinates in Ten minutes, all pilots to vipers"
"Pilots, man your planes"
roger that. Prep jump!
the basestars went off, leaving behind the cruiser and the civilian ships. They went off, to fight for the colonys.
At Kobol--
The basestars jumped in on the other side of the planet. They assumed an attack formation and proceeded at full speed toward the basestar. The ships launched vipers. The basestar quickly sent their swarms of raiders toward the Colonial armada.

The trinitys Vipers launched and sped towards the raiders initating a dog fight.
it seemed to their pilots that the cylons were learning and were now able to match their skills. Still they closed in firing their guns and the raiders returned fire.
'Jester' had a wing blown away and ejected to be recovered by the rescue raptor later.
The battlestars launched their weapons and the basestars launched missiles. The 2 armadas of fighters fought a deadly dance in space.
The Olympic charged the basestar with guns blazing hitting the central core.

the basestar rocked and launched its remaining raiders sending some back for reinforcements.
as the deadly dance continued the trinity had swatted away a nuke and the raiders were launching nukes against all the battlestars.
Still the battle here was nearly won and the colonials were getting the upper hand.
this is some deep,deep writing/sarcasm.
lol. After the fight maybe, we could go back to the paragraph long posts?

OOC: We dont have the preprepared show material for the long posts anymore, not now we have gone off on a tangent
OOC: i guess, polagize, ill try to write up about the battle to get us on track, but once im lost, your gunna have to do it on your own.
Colonial Battlestars
The battlestars fired on their enemies. The armada of vipers engaged the raiders. Suddenly, the mid-basestar launched several missiles. Each missile went at a battlestar. The turrets on the ships tried to stop them, but only the Galactica was able to stop their missile. The battlestars wore away the basestars, and after launching the rest of their raiders, they seemed to be preparing to jump. They were moving away from the battle. During this time, the commanders decided they should destroy the rest of the ships. The Bellerophan and Olympic(Olympia?) were sent after the retreating basestars. Suddenly they jumped. The battlestars destroyed the rest of the raiders and prepared to leave. ALL of a sudden, 5 basestars jumped into the area.
The fleet jumped away...except for the Bellerophan
Colonial Battlestar Bellerophan:
"SIR, WE ARENT JUMPING!!" shouted a frantic enginneer. The fleet had planned to jump back to the rest of the fleet, but the ship hadnt jumped.
"GET THE CHIEF! TELL HIM TO GET US OUT OF HERE! Colonel, fire all weapons. PREP nukes!, screw Adama, prepare all nukes and target the basestars. Turn starboard and full power!" shouted Commander Archer. The crew ran around frantically, trying to get out of here. The basestars launched their raiders and swept toward the Bellerophan.
"Sir, the Chief thinks the virus the cylons planted may have something to do with this." reported Lt.Sitro.
"We dont care Sitro! all engines forward" the colonel said. In a whisper he turned to Archer "sir, we need to deploy our vipers" he said.
"If we do that, we may have our FTL drives ready and their already out there. If we send them out there, they could be massacred. Its 6 to frackin 1." retorted the Commander. he thought for a moment "no, no, i cant send them out there. Just keep the guns blazing" he said.
The ship ran from the cylon fleet. They couldnt jump, but the still had good engines. All of a sudden a ship jumped right in front of them.
"Sir, its the Battlestar....Pegasus?
That was Season One and Two:
Now on to Season Three, which is mostly about Bellerophan, since im the only one out here
Battlestar Bellerophan Important Characters:
Commander Michael Archer-commander of ship
Colonel Jacob Maynard-XO of ship
Major Sean Flannery-commander of marines
Captain Randy Corvan-CAG
Lt. Jared Sitro-senior officer of the watch
Petty Officer Beth Sentron-communications officer
The Bellerophan came to a full stop. The raiders were closing in. The communications, along with several other important systems, were down. The Pegasus, realizing this, signaled the Bellerophan to move. They were going to cover them. As the Bellerophan headed away, the Pegasus turned and fired all their batteries at the raiders. They were decimated.
Onboard Bellerophan the crew was scrambling around. The crew was trying to restore communications. The Commander orderd all vipers to join the Pegasus. They were still trying to repair their FTL drives. They had a way to go before they escaped, but there was so little of that...time.
The CE frantically tried to figure out what was wrong with the FTL drive. After going throught all the systems he could think of, he finally realized. This wasnt a human problem, it was a Cylon device. He ran with a team of his specialists to the port that had been disturbed by the Cylon raiding party. He began running a diagnostic on it. They discovered a virus. A cylon virus had moved from the port all the way to the FTL systems. They tried to "flush" it out. But, the virus was able to manuever and fight the diagnostic off. The engineers battled on, but it would take sometime.

once in the system the virus was unstoppable infecting and distorting any system that was networked.
the device having done its work powered down and then the FTL drive crashed completely...
The CE contacted the CO "Commander, we need to restart all our systems. Almost all systems have been damaged. If we shut down completely and then reboot, i think we can get it out." The CO had nothing else to go on, so he agreed. The whole ship shut down. The gunfire ceased and the ship drifted in space. Then it came back on. "Sir, its...i think its gone." the CE said. Thank god the commander thought. "Contact Pegasus! tell them to follow us, we're jumping. Give them the coordinates, and lets jump."
Bellerophan contacted Pegasus and began jump procedures. The ships retrieved their fighters and jumped.
The ships jump the farthest they could from the Cylons. The battlestars had heavy casualties, but many were injuries. They had lost several fighters but much of the damage had been inflicted on the Bellerophan.
The comm net was still down but the ships were able to communicate with signals.
