Colonial Airlines has finally recieved its export lisence from the government of the Colony of Ollieland and is now open for business. We offer a wide range of military and civilian spec airships, easy to maintain and easy to crew. We also provide training and guidance packages for ship crew and ground crew, and we offer airfield construction and maintainance.

We would request that all orders are placed in US$ and involve some role play. We reserve the right to refuse custom. All members of the Woodstock Pact recieve a 10% discount.

Colonial Airlines has three basic airship models, all offered in different configurations. The basic models are the Sparrow, the Eagle and the Albatross.

The Sparrow

This model is the basic airship used by many small companies and private ididuals throughout Ollieland.

Lifting Agent - Helium
Gondala Size - 20m x 5m x 5m, 1 x deck
Propulsion - 2 propellers mounted port and starboard of the gondala
Ships Crew - 5
Ground Crew - 15
Power Plant - 20 x Cadmium batteries with 72 hours power reserve
Range - 1500 miles

The Eagle

This model is known as the workhorse of the nation and is used for personal and cargo transport across the whole nation.

Lifting Agent - Hydrargon, a new gas created by Ollish scientists combining the lifting power of helium and the inertness of argon
Gondola Size - 60m x 15m x 10m, 2 x decks
Propulsion - 4 propellers, one mounted port, one mounted starboard and two mounted aft
Ships Crew - 10
Ground Crew - 40
Power Plant - The balloon of the Eagle is coated with solar cells generating electricity to power the propellers. This model also has 20 x cadmium batteries to power internal systems and as backup to the solar cells.
Range - Unlimited (as long as its not cloudy!)

The Albatross

Possibly the largest flying object you will ever see!

Lifting Agent - Hydragon
Gondala Size - 150m x 30m x 20m, 4 x decks
Propulsion - 8 propellers, two mounted port, two mounted starboard and four mounted aft
Ships Crew - 20
Ground Crew - 80
Power Plant - 1 x gas cooled lightweight nuclear reactor
Range - Unlimited

CAS1 Colonial Airlines Sparrow Freighter

This Sparrow unit has a small cabin at the front of the gondala for crew, the rest of the space given over to cargo, with large rear opening doors.

CAS2 Colonial Airlines Sparrow Airliner

This Sparrow unit has a small cabin at the front of the gondala for crew, the rest of the space given over to passengers, with airline seating for upto 50 passengers, portholes in the gondala and a luggage space in the rear.

Extra crew - 4 stewards/stewardesses
Cost - $10,000,000


CAS3 Colonial Airlines Sparrow Executive Yacht

This Sparrow unit has a small cabin at the front of the gondala for crew, the rest of the space given over to executive space for upto 10 passengers, with portholes in the gondala and a luggage space in the rear.

Extra crew - 4 stewards/stewardesses

CAS4 Colonial Airlines Sparrow Firefighter

This Sparrow unit has a small cabin at front, 4 watercannons, 2 mounted each side, with a scoop hanging underneath to suck up water into it's tanks. Firefighters on board can also use zip lines to reach the ground and use close in water hoses. Although nominally used as a firefighting unit in Ollieland's forest regions, it has in the past been used for riot control.

CAS5 Colonial Airlines Stealth Infiltrator

This Sparrow unit is used by Ollieland's Colonial Marine Corps commandos and is specially designed for night time infiltration. The gondala is shaped with sharp angles, like a modern stealth fighter, and the balloon is coated in a dimpled radar reflective coating to make it as invisible as possible to enemy detection. The gondala mounts 2 x 30mm cannon, one port and one starboard, and is outfitted with military spec fire suppression and electronic warfare systems. Troops can deploy through a drop hatch by parachute or by zipline from side doors in the gondala. The balloon is actually made up of one large skin enclosing 100 small balloons, giving some proof against small arms fire.

This Eagle model has a small cabin at the front for crew, with the rest of the space given over to cargo, with large rear opening doors and an internal lift between decks.

CAE2 Colonial Airlines Eagle Airliner

This Eagle model has a small cabin at the front for crew, with the rest of the space given over to passengers, with airline seating for 200 passengers, portholes in the gondala and a rear luggage rack on the lower deck.

CAE3 Colonial Airlines Eagle Executive Yacht

This Eagle model has a small cabin at the front for crew, with the rest of the space given over to executive overnight accomadation for upto 30 passengers. This model includes a communications suite, conference facilities, bedrooms and a glass dome in the lower deck to provide panoramic views when airborne.

CAE4 Colonial Airlines Eagle Military Command Unit

This Eagle model is designed to allow command and control of a large battlefield, allowing the on-board crew to monitor and direct upto 1,000 different military units. It has 4 x 30mm cannon, 2 mounted starboard and 2 mounted port, for self defence and 4 air-to-ground rocket pods, 3 mounted port and 3 mounted starboard, for ground support. It also has military spec communications, fire suppression and electronic warfare systems.

Extra Crew - 50 commanders, communication staff and military planners

CAE5 Colonial Airlines Eagle Military Engineering Unit

This Eagle model is designed as an engineering support unit. The top deck consists of a cabin and an engineering workshop. The lower deck is designed to be detachable so that it can be dropped on the battlefield and used as a drive in repair centre. It has 2 x 30mm cannon, one mounted port and one starboard, for self defence. It also has military spec communications, fire suppression and electronic warfare systems.

CAE6 Colonial Airlines Eagle Military Counter Insurgency Unit

This Eagle model is designed for troop delivery. The top deck has a cabin and automated weapons control, controlling 4 x air-to-ground rocket pods, 2 mounted port and 2 starboard, for ground support. The bottom deck can house 50 troops, which can be delivered by parachute through a drop hatch or by zipline through side access doors. It also has military spec communications, fire suppression and electronic warfare systems.

CAE7 Colonial Airlines Eagle Military Air Supremacy Unit

This Eagle model is designed to create a safe air zone over a battlefield or base area. The entire gondala is taken up with automated weapons systems controlled by the crew. It has 6 x 30mm cannon (2 port, 2 starboard, 1 aft, 1 forward), and 4 x hardpoints (2 port, 2 starboard) able to house 2 air-to-air missiles each. It also has military spec communications, fire suppression and electronic warfare systems.

CAE8 Colonial Airlines Eagle Military ELINT Unit

This Eagle unit can act as a mobile electronic warfare platform. It is outfitted with the most up to date communications and monitoring equipment, including radar, sattellite link and jamming equipment. It also has military spec communications, fire suppression and electronic warfare systems.

CAE9 Colonial Airlines Eagle Naval Patrol Unit

This Eagle unit is designed to protect a nation's coastline and is equipped to drop sonar buoys and anti-submarine torpedoes. It also has military spec communications, fire suppression and electronic warfare systems.

CAE10 Colonial Airlines Eagle Anti-ICBM Unit

This Eagle unit is capable of shooting down ICBMs. The upper deck consists of the cabin and the control suite, monitoring the area and linked to sattelite surveillence. The lower deck is entirely taken up by a COIL powered laser, capable of shooting down or at least disabling most known ICBMs, which can fire up to ten times before recharging with a range of approximately 5 miles. It also has military spec communications, fire suppression and electronic warfare systems.

CAA1 Colonial Airlines Albatross Freighter

This Albatross model has the first deck converted to a crew cabin, with the other three decks merged for cargo space. It also has large rear opeing doors and an internal overhead crane system.

CAA2 Colonial Airlines Albatross Airliner

This Albatross model has the first deck converted to a crew cabin and luggage hold, with the other three decks holding airline seating for upto 600 passengers.

Cost - $45,000,000

CAA3 Colonial Airlines Airmobile Hospital

This Albatross model has been converted into a huge flying hospital. It has facilities for giving triage to up to 100 casualties and also has two operating theatres.
