Speaking from a secure location today, the President of Bronzeland John Rhodes confirmed that an attempted coup had been foiled earlier today by loyal members of the BDF.
He also confirmed that the coup, carried out by an as-yet unnamed member of the Bronzeland Defence Force, had burned down large parts of the capital Cusan and left tens of thousands homeless. The President then appealed to foreign nations in the reigon to dispatch aid teams immediately.
"There are thousands of people out there wandering around the countryside with nothing but the clothes on their backs." he said. "The BDF is still uncovering members of the coup and lost most of their emergency supplies in the attack."
It is currently unknown how many people died in the attack, but the estimated damage bill runs into billions of bronzers.
