"Fuel Scandal reaches new heights, Government forced to resign!"
OSLO (Translated by NTB): The Labor/Socialist coalition-government was forced to resign yesterday after the fifth major scandal rocking the government in its 300 days in office. The proverbial drop that caused the cup to overflow came a week ago when Minister of Finance Kristin Halvorsen said that she would add a new tax on the already overtaxed petrol- and auto-industry. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenbergs failure to put out this new brushfire caused Stortinget (OOC: national assembly) to forward a vote of no confidence. New elections are expected to be held in a month, and the Progress Party is expected to get the majority of the seats in the new government. In the last polls made by Norsk Gallup, more than 33 percent of the people asked said that they would vote Progress if the elections were to be held today. The Stoltenberg goverment will remain in office untill a new government has been elected.
