Argentina would like to place an order for 6 Halifax class frigates from Canada.

Additionally, we would like to sign a contract for the production of 400 Coyote IFVs and 300 LAV III, 300 LAV III-TUA IFVs.

Unfortuantly we are unable to complete such a task, with fraying tempers in Cuba we will need our shipyards to produce forces for the Canadian Naval forces, we would also have dificulty in selling our pre-made vessels as that would be half the compliment of the Halifax class, we would however be willing to sell a contract for the production of 6 Frigates for a reasonable price.

(OOC: I didn't respond to the IFV part because I wasn't sure whether you wanted me to produce them or to produce them yourself, also I wasn't quite sure what those makes were.)

Reply,

We are willing to produce the ships ourselves. We were just not sure if Canada wanted the designs and schematics for them to leave the country or not. We offer an opening bid of $950M for the rights to produce six Halifax frigates.

As to the vehicles,

Coyote, http://www.sfu.ca/casr/101-vehcoyo.htm

LAV III, http://www.sfu.ca/casr/101-vehlav.htm

We are willing to build them ourselves. For the complete rights to both designs, we offer $800M.

We are glad to have come to an agreement over the Halifax, we remind you that you are authorised to produce only 6 of these vessels, we will grant you the rights to produce both vehciles under the same terms, no more than the originally specified amount, we are glad to have done business with your nation.

Quebec Seperates

The Province of Quebec today held a referendum (the third in as many decades) to determine whether it should remain a part of Canada, despite protests from those not willing to lose Canadian nationality, the Referenda passed with a 53% majority, Prime Minister Stephen Harper was quoted today in a press confrence as saying "Despite of the fact that we have lost brothers and sisters today we will not take this in a martial light, the people of Quebec saw it fit to leave our rule, we will hope to remain allies with this newly formed nation." Canadian rule over Quebec will remain until democratic elections in the Spring will determine who will lead the new State.

In other related news; Canada lost it's position as the second largest nation becoming the fith behind America, Russia, China and Brazil.

Couldn't you have made them autonomous? Now I have to figur out how to seperate Quebec on the map. Will you be controlling Quebec and Canada? Or just Canada?

If Quebec remains independent, France would like to invite Quebec to the Communaute de la Francophonie.

If they never separated from Canada and all that I was talking about in the last sentence was frivolous nonsense, France would like to invite Canada to the Communaute de la Francophonie.

Diplomatic Message From Canada

Quebec will remain a Canadian province until the Spring by which time it will have it's firtst democratic elections, the new parliment will decide whether or not join your organisation, until that time would you like to explain what this group does.
Naktan

La Communaute de la Francophonie is an international organization that binds together nations that have French as a national language and/or has cultural ties that strongly influence the country's politics. It is France's way of engaging its former territories, offering economic and military assistance, in part with UN representation in the UNSC and various other political entities [EU, NATO, etc...].

Since France has just opened this invitation, there isn't really anything that we do now. And if Canada/Quebec decide to join, there is no legally binding contract that forces member nations to adjust their policies to conform to France's policies [that would be a downright, farfetched attempt to reinstitute colonialism on those nations, and we don't want that; we want friendship :)]; all nations, fromm Vietnam to Algeria are invited to this international caucus, if they satisfy the pre-requisites.

The US would like to ask Canada if it would be interested in joining the ALN(see the US thread for info about what the ALN is and also the ALN thread). Basically members would provide each other military support, help each other economically, reduce tariffs against other members, it would basically be like the EU. With all the other groups of nations(EU,CIS, etc...) Canada would soon be left out if it did not join one. Also Quebec is welcome to join. Also, it would be fine(to the ALN at least) if Canada and Quebec were also in the CF.

Diplomatic Message From Canada to France

Quebec has now been declared full independance and so it is the choice of the new Quebecian Prime Minister to choose whether he wishes to join this Organisation, Canada see's itself as more an English speaking nation now that it has lost Quebec and so will not be joining, but we wish you luck in further ventures.

Diplomatic Message From Canada to America

I inguire as to the difference between this Organisation and that of the Coalition, as we are still members of the Coalition we will join this organisation for further military involvement with the American peoples.

(OOC: RM, I'm okay with it as long as Sel Appa is, few things to know, you'll need to have a new PM, there'll still be some bad blood from the English speaking Canadians who don't want Quebecian independance, and you have the choice to join Frances organisation)

We congratulate the Canadian government for providing this peaceful transition, to allow the free people of Quebec to fulfill their self-determination. While we heart-loss at the fact that Canada can no longer join the CF, we still extend our hearts to your nation, as it cared for the Quebecois people.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:

Quebec also must dissent to Canada handing control of its ports to Denmark. If any Danish vessels enter Quebecois territorial waters with the intant of taking control of Canadian ports, they will be met with a warning by the Marine du Québec (Quebec Navy). If neccesary, their ships will be turned away from the Hudson and St. Lawrence waters by force of arms.

Denmark really does own Greenland...it's just that Denmark won't be selling it anytime soon for your ports...

Quebec would like to inquire as to the possibility of a land trade with Canada. We propose that we give Canada the northern penninsula of Quebec in exchange for the territory of Labrador, as detailed in this map below.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y98/Cannuckland/Quebecmap.jpg

Where the portion outlined in BLACK shall go to Canada, and the portion outlined in RED shall go to Quebec. Seeing as boht of these areas are virtually uninhabited, we see no reason why this trade would not be compleyely fair.

(OOC: Doesn't matter EU, I reconsidered the proposal, I don't think it would be in Canada's best interest to surrender ports in these tense times, sorry)

Diplomatic Message From Canada to Quebec

There has been no reason for us not to agree, despite the minimal loss of territory, we agree to this proposal and hope to continue this goodwill between our nations.

I have seen your record on other RP sites...

There is no doubt in my mind that you are IAN , or rather IAN is Europen Union. Don't try testing me; your name is all over this site, and for some reason, other RP threads don't like you either. I wonder why...
