The Acting prime minister steps up to the microphone.

"We are very sorry to announce to the world today that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has finally lost his battle today. After a long and hard fought struggle, he went to meet his Maker at 3 am this morning Israeli time. We will begin elections as soon as possible. In the meantime, I am pleased to serve you and the rest of the world."

Ehud Olmert bowed his head slightly and walked away.

OOC: thanks... thought I'd start out fresh...

Actually... the reason why I did this is because if the year we are in now is 2007, I don't know who would be the leader, so I figured I'd make it easy on myself and select my own leader.

OOC: Aw shist, it would have been cool, but mainly unrealistic, for Sharon to wake up fully capacitated. I would go with Olmert heading the Kadima party in a landslide victory. I believe that is what will happen RL.

Also, I'd like to increase relations between Russia and Israel...somehow.

IC: Vladimir Putin expresses his deep regrets for Israel: "Sharon was a strong leader who helped Israel make peace with Arab nations and dealt well with extremists. While I personally cannot attend the funeral, I have asked our ambassador to Israel to attend it in my name.

Israel thanks both France and the US, and would be honored to have both of their leaders attend the funeral scheduled in two weeks.
OOC: Two weeks?! Yowza! His body would be half-rotted by then. You might want to have him lie in state for a day or so and then have the funeral...if Judaism allows lying in state. I'm not sure.

OOC: right... I'm trying to keep this as realistic as possible, and I am pretty positive that Olmert will carry the election too.

As far as increasing relations... I'm not sure how it could be done, seeing how your relationship with the US (our closest ally) is sketchy at best.

IC:

We thank the nation of Russia, and would be pleased to have the ambassador attend the late Prime Minister's service.

As of the current moment, the Kingdom of Norway is commiting acts of aggression against its neighbors and the Republic of France. You should read the thread here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=10463824&posted=1#post10463824)to get the story of Norway's uncalled acts of aggression against the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Finland.

We hope that you will join us in condemning these acts, as well as initiating sanctions on Norway, as they have attacked our patrols over free Swedish skies.

Geneticon
21-02-2006, 17:40
Israel will sell the rights to build Sabra tanks to Argentina... how much do you offer to pay us?
The Xeno
21-02-2006, 17:44
Considering the Sabra is an upgraded M60A3, we offer an initial bid of $1.35B for an unlimited 11-year license to produce Sabras. We are willing to state officially that the Sabra will not be produced comercially for export to other nations. We will however, attempt to upgrade them further ourselves if the current Israeli version does not suit our needs.
Geneticon
21-02-2006, 18:40
Our upgrade is very critical to our nation.

We offer a bid of $1.7B for an unlimited 8-year license for you to produce the Sabras.

Also, you may not share the designs with any other nation under any circumstances, as well as the requirement that you cannot sell any upgraded Sabra tanks to other nations.

You may however upgrade them to suit your needs. Do you agree?

We understand that the tank is critical to your country. However, the two enviornments of Israel and Argentina are very different. The Sabra may require some modification for 100% functionality in our military.

On the rebid, you are asking us to pay more money for less time to build? We counter-bid, $1.5B for a 10 year license.

As to the comment on sharing designs, we believe we made it clear in our initial statement that we would not do that.

In a secret message to the head of Israel, Asbena announces they recognize Israel and its existance. This may lead the way to a summit to discuss the current affairs in the rapidly increasing tension in Europe with Norway." said one news reporter on the TV, which was broadcast on Asbena's new satellite for all to see.

How would it be considered equilibrium? We offered more money originally than we needed to, only to be refused and demanded of to provide even more money to produce goods in a shorter amount of time.

It will take at least a year to set up a factory able to produce a foreign tank, and time to refine the industrial process. We were willing to eat that debt, but this is just too far.

Disregard our inquiry completely. There will be no more dealings.

Today Israel pulled out of the West bank, Gaza strip, and Golan Heights.

Tanks could be seen rumbling down the streets of the cities, headed back to the new Israeli lines. Thousands of soldiers pulled back, and walked on foot to the new lines.

Firework shows in Tel Aviv announced the news of Middle East Peace, for the first time in 40 years.

Most Israelis shouted for joy and joined in the celebrations.

The Palestinians in East Jerusalem left and headed east. The Israeli military moved quickly to totally occupy this part of the city, and ensure the Palestinian evacuation went smoothly.

At the same time, Israel worked with several agencies and finally found a contractor to help in the creation of a new temple. The Third Temple.

Thousands lined up outside to see the limosuine cruise down the streets of Jerusalem and see Ehud Olmert step out. He walked up to a patch of land on the Temple Mount and stuck a large stick in the ground. "HERE we will build our new temple. The sign of peace!!"

The Jews rushed through the streets of the city, now all theirs. How wonderful.

It was a brilliant day for Israel.

"Yes sir, but it appears it was his own secret serviceman who shot him."

"Good gracious... what a crazy day. Send a message to the UAE leader in command, tell him we send our condolences, as he has recently sent us his. The Shiekh was a good man.

Hopefully, our bargain is still in effect."

"We hope so too sir."

President Papoulias and Prime Minister Karamanlis of the Hellenic Republic of Greece express their deepest condolences to the entire Nation of Israel.

But on a happier note we congradulate you on your withdrawal from the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Golan Heights. Your efforts to make peace with your misunderstood neighbors is a great service to the entire world.

President Papoulias goes on to write:
"I would like to bring our nations closer together. So I have a proposition for you: Israel has a great Military and Airforce, Greece also has a great Military though we are lacking in numerous ways. Perhaps we can have training excersies together. Then we can learn more from each other and both come out for the better.

Also, we would like to talk with Iraq about peace. We ask the US to get us connected with the new Iraqi government.
The US suggests that Israel send their foreign minister to a summit in Iraq that US officials will be attending. This summit would be a good time for Israel to talk with the new Iraqi government about a deal like the one Israel currently has with the UAE.

Today the Israeli government held the election for Prime Minister.

In overwhelming favor Ehud Olmert was elected to the Prime Ministership, carrying almost 94% of all votes!

----

Tel Aviv - Live Broadcast to the World

Ehud Olmert stepped to the microphone just as the results were announced. The crowd roared with anticipation and joy.

Ehud raised his arms to signal for silence.

"Children of Israel, today is a proud day for our little nation. Almost 40 years ago the tribes were split, and separated all over the world. But then, in a wonderful move we all came together, picked up our old language, and we now live together in the Promised land.

People of Israel... never had I ever had so much joy in my heart. I thank you so much for the honor of being able to lead you in this time. I know how much effort and thought you put inot your decision, and I am deeply humbled. I promise I will serve Israel to the best of my ability."

Throughout the speech people were roaring.

"Children of the Almighty, I am also pleased to announce that we have now created peace within our nation. No more will there be any terrorism. We can now live in safety and security. We leave our homes without the fear of being part of an explosion. We can let our children attend school without fear of them disintegrating on a bus.

Today we have peace. Today we have reconciled with our Arab brothers. Today, we have reclaimed all of Jerusalem!"

The roar was deafening.

"People of Israel, the time has come. The cabinet has decided that Tel Aviv is no longer a suitable capital for our glorious nation. Today we will install a new era in Israel. Today we proclaim Jerusalem as the capital as it rightly should be."

The crowd was stunned... but screamed even louder.

"Children of God, in our new capital we will create a nation of peace. We will rebuild the great father Solomon's temple, and it will be even grander than before. Let us not forget our Arab brothers. Let us treat them with kindness as Yaweh demands. Let us create a bond of friendship so dear that we would have a mutual love for one another.

I ask the Arab world to co-operate in this effort, and the world will be a better place as a result.

But do not fear people of Israel. This does not mean we will let down our guard. If any hostilities are made against Israel, we assure the world that we will strike quickly was a madening vengence. Do not think you will escape the wrath that you instill in us.

We offer mutual peace!"

The secret service had all it could handle to hold the crowd back... they were going crazy... in a joyful way.

"We thank the United States, our mutual allies till teh end of time. Without them, none of this would be possible. We thank the UAE, without them, none of this would have taken place. And finally we thank God, the founder and ruler of our nation!"

The roar was breaking the scale. Ehud raised his hands for silence once more.

"Children of Israel, let me leave you with this challenge. The world is a terryfying place, with many dangers and woes. But let us work together to create worldwide peace. And the challenge: Turn to and follow the Lord your God.

Thank you, and goodnight."

Everyone within a mile of the Tel Aviv must have lost a great deal of hearing, or went deaf all together. It was as loud as it could possibly be.

Olmert left the stage quickly and was taken to an undisclosed location. Within a few minutes he had already received scores of death threats.

Though the Australian government does not hint or have the conference being recorded on their side, they will announce the effect it has on the economic situation with Israel.

Things were getting extremely uneasy in the east side of Jerusalem. Protestors stood by the wailing wall all day and screamed. The chant was undeniable:

"TEAR DOWN THE ROCK! TEAR DOWN THE ROCK!"

The call had been going on for weeks, and at times it was all the police could do to hold them back from ripping the Dome apart with their bare hands.

Ehud Olmert stared at his people from a nearby secure building.

Israeli News Network:

"This just in. For one of the first times in the history of our nation, the borders to Israel have been completely closed. It is no longer possible for anybody to enter, or leave Israel.

All planes, and every other form of travel to and from Israel have been stopped. Flights, Cruises, and other tourism travel have been cancelled.

The borders have been shut down everywhere. The only people allowed to leave or enter are those specifically allowed by the government (OOC: In other words, national leaders). Israeli soldiers are patrolling the border and are heavily guarding them, with orders to shoot to wound anyone on sight who attempts to cross the border in either direction.

It is not yet known exactly why this has happened. In an official press release, the President gave the explination of, quote "This has been done for security reasons" unqoute.

Now, on to local weather..."

30 minutes after Ultimatum...

Israeli News Network Reports:

"This just in: The Dome of the Rock is actually being moved! That's right ladies and gentlemen, being moved!"

The camera shows men taking great care as they move a crane onto the temple Mount.

"According to rumors, the Dome is being moved to Mecca! If this is true... it is a dream come true for the Israeli people.

But in fact, we are expecting that there could be retaliation by parts of the Muslim world...

This is a danger... but the President has stated that, 'We will do whatever we have to to establish peace in our own nation.'

This will certainly create peace in Jerusalem, and now it makes sense that the borders were closed. This is spectacular!

Now, on to the daily entertainment news..."

---

Press Release:

"The rumors are true... the Dome is being moved. It will take approximately three weeks to remove it from the Mount and get it to its destination. That is all."

Argentina would like to order Israeli made automatic and semi-automatic guns. We would like to see any list availible of guns availible for sale. Also, we would like to continue past agreement and purchase 1000 Sabra tanks and pay a price of 2 Billion for that and a 15 year contract to have tanks produced for us by Israel. We will not use these tanks to resell them, only for military equipping. Also we will not pull Israel into any conflict involving these tanks. We will pay this in yearly installments of a price of 133,333,333 for the 15 years of the contract.

We will give you an 8 year contract for 1.8 billion, but not fifteen years.

No... sorry I missed that note about you wanting 1000, and the production rights.

At this time, we can't afford to send you any tanks, but we can give you the plan and production rights.

and how much will that cost?

In this case... we will give you the 8 year rights for 1.75 billion.

Also, you may not share the designs with any other nation under any circumstances, as well as the requirement that you cannot sell any upgraded Sabra tanks to other nations.

We will grant you the rights to further upgrade them yourself though.

/SIC (and bear in mind, only israel, possably austrilia and yugoslavia were in the area to see the testfire. Even with all of the satalites, the odds are that they would be watching something more important.. like the Dome of Rock moving)

As you can see the gun works well, Unfortunatly the ship thats its currently mounted on is not its production ship. We were hoping that you might be able to assist us in the design/construction of its proper mounting platform/S. We have enclosed drydock space to work in and it might give some of your engineers a break from having to hear gunfire every day.

Secret reply:

Agreed. Israel will send 60 engineers to help in the creation of this ship.

/SIC this is the base design that we are working on for a frigate. We have some designs in the works for a cruiser/destroyer sized vessel and are beginning designs for a high speed corvette.
