k, this thread might die but so long as the idea is carried onto someone with more RPing experience than me I don't care, idea is as the title says, a Mirror Universe, I tried this on another site to little major effect.

So the basic principle is that you take an important moment within the creation or advancement of your nation and alter or delete it, then work out the rest from there, to give an example, Toops evolved from the nation of Spoot Halflings, if I were to stop the Toop from leaving then the Spoot Halfling would be stronger.

A few simple rules apply; You cannot change the mirror universe to have you rule the world, You can't alter anothers history or have your history conflict with anothers unless you have permission from said nation, I think that's everything, if I think of anything else or get suggestions i'll add them...

Kirisubo
The Mongol Hordes succeded in invading Kirisubo, after becoming a Mongol Province the nation developed, but at a slower rate due to the lack of an Emporer or of a Warrior Class.

Toops
After nearly losing a large quantity of explorers, the Halflings decided to stick to a smaller province, keeping themselves away from the harshness of the world, when Mr Spoot came and attempted to annexe the Halfling lands he was executed and the Halflings lived free.

i suppose one of the pivotal moments in Kirisubo's past was before the empire was even formed.

the mongol hordes tried to invade but a great storm wrecked their ships before the invaders could land their troops.

If the Kirisubans had lost it would have meant them living as a province of the Mongols and the nation developing a lot differently later on because there was no emperor or warrior class left.

why thank you, I developed it from an episode of Star Trek, oh small point, this'll be MT.

if the mongol empire eventually broke up as it did in history its likely that the province of Kirisubo would have retained a Mongol identity under a local Khan but remaining isolated apart from a few traders and extremely backward.

so when the Black ship arrived they had even more catching up to do.

their past tech incarnation could even have been part of Han China at some point if the 3 kingdoms managed to unify.
