Overview:
The Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt) was established in 1870, as the foreign ministry of the North German Confederation, and from 1871 of the unified Germany. In the first years of the German nation-state under Bismarck, the Foreign Office had to departments, a political and an economic, legal and consular. During the times of the Weimar Republic, the Foreign Office was reorganized and a modern structure was established. Following the second world war the Office was reestablished in Bonn on March 15, 1951. In 1999 it moved back to its old offices in the central part of Berlin.
In addition to the ministry's headquarters in Berlin, Germany has established embassies and consulates around the world.

The German Government would like to kindly remind the United States that as of this time a mutual defense pact under the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, in which both governments in question are active members of, currently exsists and, thus, any additional pact like the one currently proposed would be unneccsarily redundant.

Although we do agree that action must be taken against this belligerent move on the part of the United States of America, we do not believe that the precipitation of a Global Military conflict is required in order to reach a viable solution. As firm proponents of the International Community, the German Republic will stand in support of further diplomatic intervention via the United Nations.

The Kingdom of Norway is lying to your government. You should read the thread here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=10463824&posted=1#post10463824)to get the story of Norway's uncalled acts of aggression against the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Finland.
We hope that you will join us in condemning these acts, as well as initiating sanctions on Norway, as they have attacked our patrols over free Swedish skies.

Topic: Proposal for Official State visit
Dear Angela,
It is time to rekindle the friendship between our nations. We have been great neighbours for so many years and in order to rekindle our friendship, a delegation of the Netherlands would like to come to Berlin for an official State visit. The delegation will consist of Queen Beatrix, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, many businesspeople and myself, the Prime-Minister. We hope that it will suit you that our delegation will visit in 2009.
The kindest regards,
Ms. Lousewies van der Laan
OOC: I need to visit Germany in order to create a bit of an internal scandal... I hope you can accomodate that ;)
The Republic of France sends an invitation to Germany , for the construction of a rail project, pending the approval of other European nations [Czech Republic Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, and CBSS]. We intend to extend TGV service along this line to improve infrastructure in the EU.
This rail will run from Paris to Leipizig, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrad, and finally in Istanbul, with various tributaries to be added at later times.
[ooc: this is pending Yugoslavia and CBSS's acceptance.]

Communiqué to Berlin
The Spanish Air Force is interested in the procurement of thirty-four Eurocopter Tiger HAD, complementing the twenty-four already in service with the Spanish military, giving at its disposal a full fifty-eight Tiger HADs for military operations. The full contract would come to a procurement check of €986 million, and would be carried out over the next three years, being completed by 2013. Furthermore, with the project to increase Spanish industry over the next seven years Madrid is interested in slowly transferring full production of G36E from Germany to Spain, thus lessening the dependence of Spain on Germany for its military products. This would be similar to the cooperation between Spain and Germany on the Leopard 2A6/2E, which gave Spain full rights, even for sale, for the Leopard 2E, which is considered indegenous in design. We thank Germany for their time and hope to hear positive news.

[OOC: The order for the Tigers has been cancelled. I didn't know you were coming back today. :( I thought you were inactive, so I cancelled the order and simply procured Mangustas from Italy. But I'm still looking for production rights to the G36E.]
OOC: Wow... that's pretty cool, but I don't think Australia will push for that tech yet.

TO: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
FROM: Berlin, Germany
To Ms. Lousewies van der Laan of the Dutch Government:
Such a request would be gladly accepted by our offices at any time convinent for Her Majesty. After all, friendship in such dire times is the keystone to continuing prosperity within the International Community at large and as The Netherlands sits upon our own borders, it is of the utmost importance that positive relations be maintained.
We gladly await your delegation.

TO: Paris, France
FROM: Berlin, Germany
To the Honorable Deputies of the French Government:
In pursuit of further prosperity, the Federal Republic of Germany shall gladly accept such an invitation. In truth, such projects are a nececcity for the nations of this continent in these rapidly changing times and it is our firm belief that such matters should be confronted in advance before the problems of overpopulation and under-development emerge.
Thus, we thank the French people for such foresight into these matters and make our assurances that German aid shall be provided as soon as possible.
Signed,
Wolfgang Tiefensee
Federal Minister for Transport, Building and Urban Development
The Federal Republic of Germany
TO: Madrid, Spain
FROM: Berlin, Germany
To the Honorable Ministers of the Spanish Government:
Military cooperation is, undoubtebly, key to the continuing maintence of security operations on the European Continent. Thus, the Federal Republic of Germany, upon the approval of the Bundestag and the word of Chancellor Merkel, shall consider a move towards further military cooperation in the field of small arms, with the Kingdom of Spain.
Already, representatives of the Heckler & Koch Arms Company, the orginal designers of the G-36 line of weaponry, have stated that it would approve such a request as described. And with H&K already busy satisfying the weapons contracts of the American Defense Department, it would only be logical to encourage such initiatives.
However, before such a deal could be passed, an acceptable price for the royalties and production rights of the G-36E Assault Rifle must be accepted to. As of the moment, H&K presents an initial bid of 200 Million Euros although a more suitable price may be agreed upon if this does not satisfy the needs of the Spanish Government.
We eagerly await your response.
Signed,
Franz Josef Jung

To the Honorable Ministers of the Australian Government:
Currently in such adverse times, the German Government, although cognacent of the efforts of the Australian Government to achieve the aims of continuing the War against Global Terror, cannot, as of this time, grant the full production rights of the Leopard 2E or Leopard 2A6.
However, if the Australian Government is still interested in the purchase of German Weaponry, the Ministry of Defense, with the approval of the Bundestag and Chancellor Merkel, would be more than willing to provide your government with the production rights to lesser models of the Leopard 2 series and Leopard 1 series, including the Leopard 2A4 and Leopard 1A5 Main Battle Tanks for an agreeable price.
We eagerly await your response.
Signed,
Franz Josef Jung
Minister of Defense
The Federal Republic of Germany
TO: Vienna, Austria
FROM: Berlin, Germany
To Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache of the Federal Republic of Austria:
The German Foreign Ministry would be more than delighted to visit your offices in Vienna to discuss such matters. Just present the German Foreign Ministry with an acceptable date and time, along with proper accomidations, and our offices shall dispatch a representative of the German Government as soon as possible.
Also, if such matter are urgent, the German Consulate is always open to Austrian officals and any conversation made within its halls would be forwarded to our own offices in Berlin, immedeately.

IC to Berlin:
To Wolfgang Tiefensee, Minister of Transports, Building, and Urban Development,
We greatly laud Germany's decision to join in this project. This new extension of existing TGV and main rail lines from Western Europe to Eastern Europe will surely improve transportation and border conditions among all of our nations, and we are certain that the added lines will likewise better integrate German transportation systems. In the future, we plan on extending TGV lines from Paris to Warsaw [maybe even farther to Moscow], passing through Berlin as well. Of course, these are all in the works and we must first focus on these works for the moment.

Spain is willing to pay the €200 million for the production rights to the G36E, and sees this as a very fair and enticing deal. We apologize again for the false order of Eurocopter Tigers, and we would have preferred the Tiger; unfortunately, our military seems to be more and more impatient, and we opted for the Mangusta, especially since trade deals between Italy and Spain have become faster and faster. We would also like to alert Germany, to create some sense of trust between our two countries, that Spain is equipping the Iranian Army with ~400 Leopard 2Es [Spanish variant; more armour, different electronics, et cetera]. We circumvented asking Germany, but we feel that Iran is a country to trust at this point, especially since with Iran petroleum is guaranteed to Europe. Furthermore, Iranian-Spanish cooperation guarantees the slow westernization of the country, and we have also guaranteed that these Leopard 2Es will not make their way outside the country of Iran until they have become obsolete. We understand any alarm Germany may have, despite the fact that the Leopard 2E was more or less an indegenous project [Spanish-German cooperation; IIRC, we also have a new UAV coming out between us two in RL], and again, we wish to state that we vouch for Iran completely. In any case, thank you for your response and we hope that future cooperation between us two can unfold.
