Xina Zethera leader of the Imperialest underground sat in the basement of his house along with sevral other members of his group. He picked up a rag and began cleaning the barrel of his AK-47. Today they would begin there revolution. Xina's wife walked down with some food. What could be there last meal. Xina got up and bid them to put on there long robes and hide there guns under them. He then turned to his wife. "Honey I want you to know what ever happens to me today that you'll keep this dream on. "Yes Dear."

Xina and his party walk outside of the fridged cold of Squornsheious Antarctica waiting for there first target.

The small Squornshelan Military force in Antarctica was certainly not expecting anything like what was going to happen on this day. There was only a token military prescence here, as there had never been any threat to Squornshelan territory here, ever since it had been aquired in a land deal with Rome. The main concentration was on King George Island, near the tip of the Peninsula, where there were small naval and air bases. Sitting in the snow covered harbour were a handful of vessels, mostly icebreakers. There was also a pair of Prefect class nuclear destroyers, a lone Xaxis class diesel electric attack submarine and three aging Suntiger class nuclear destroyers. There were also around 8,000 troops distributed through the major centers of population. The air base was mostly home to aging planes that ran routine patrols, no top of the line aircraft would be found there. There were also 6 strategic bomber squadrons based there, mainly intended for long range strikes.
The aircraft numbers were as follows:
48 - FB-111 Aarvark (fighter/bomber)
24 - MiG 25RB Foxbat (fighter/bomber)
24 - MiG 29 Fulcrum (fighter)
36 - Tu-22M3 Backfire (strategic bomber)
6 - EF-111 Raven (ECM)
6 - Tu-16T Badger (tanker)
6 - E-3 Sentry (AWACS)
24 - AH-1Z Super Cobra (helicopter)

Xina's comm. device goes off. He walks into an ally to take this call. "Yes." "Xina is your force ready?" "Yes M'lord" "How big is it?" "We have 200 Rebels armed and ready Sir." "Good one of my carriers are on route." "Yes M'lord." "Place your self near the enamy base and await my signal." "Yes M'lord."

Xina and his forces place themselfs near the military base waiting for there lord's Carrier to arrive.

OOC; It's really not necessary to bump the thread so much, it break up the IC posts and, believe it or not, I can find the thread in my subscriptions very easily. I'm really not sure what you're expecting out of me IC at this point, as the start of this whole thing hinges on your rebels starting up.

IC:
As Xina's rebels were waiting, the Squornshelan forces were probably at a record state of unreadiness. Skeleton crews manned all of the naval vessels, with the rest on shore leave, either with their families, or patronizing the local bars and clubs. Many of the army and air force personell were also on leave, enjoying themselves for once, in what was genrally agreed to be on of the most miserable postings a Squornshelan soldier could ask for. In fact, the vehicles that had carried the rebels to near their target had been waived through a military checkpoint after a cursory check of ID's and papers.

At the targeted military base, guards chatted idly, smoking a cigarettes, their XM-8 assault rifles leaning up against the walls of the guardposts, unattended. The only piece of military equipment that was ready for action at all was a single AH-1Z, that was warming up for takeoff with a trainee pilot at the controls.

OOC: lol Sorry just makin sure can you can find it.

A signal Came in from the carrier in the form of beeps. Xina signaled to his men that it was time. The walked to the front gate silently. Walked up behind the gaurds at the gate and took out knifs to slit there throats. The rest of the men continued to the main building. The burst open the doors and told everybody to stay down and be quiet. The branished there AK-47s at them.

Aboard the Carrier F-67ns prepared to lanch. They were out fitted with Air-to-Surface missiles and scram jets. The took off with flames flashing brightly out of there engines.

None of the troops inside were anywhere near their weapons, and they quietly did as they were told. With the exception of one or two individuals, whom the rebels would easily be able to round up and bring to the main building, the entire base was under the control of Xina. The biggest thing was that despite this, no one oustide fo the base knew. The radio message directing the rebels to act had been intercepted, but had been dismissed as unimportant, and filed away. No one would know until the rebels made their next move.

Xina lead his men to the naval ships sitting in port. There goal was to completely rid there land of military influance. Some of the men also broke off the take over the air strip so reinforcements could come in. Xina lead some man aboard the Prefect class nuclear destroyers. They worked there way up to the bridge to take command of the ships. The two F-67s Circled 50 miles out waiting for a signal from the troops on the ground. The other half of Xinas men found the hangers and disabled the planes and taking piolts and other personel hostage.

While the rebels success was not as overwhelming as it had been before, the results of their raids on the air and naval bases were impressive. While the large size of the airbase allowed the Squornshelan personnel their some warning of the rebels approach, there were not enough troops there to fend them off, and the rebels soon took control. However, the Super Cobra warming up on the tarmac was able to lift off, and killed several rebels with its mingun before leaving the airbase to avoid the SAM batteries there that could be turned against it. The AH-1Z was quickly able to raise the alarm among the remaining military forces, however, the rebels were already on board the two Prefect destroyers, and the crews were ill equipped to fight back against them. However, the senior officer remaining, Commander Vladymir Ivanov of the SNS Barracuda, one of the three Suntiger destroyers, quickly took charge of the situation. The breakdown in the chain of command had caused turmoil among army forces in the area, and the entire local air force, with the exception of one helicopter, was either dead or captured.

Quickly, an alert was sent out for all naval personnel to return to their vessels, except for the Prefect destroyers. While some of the sailors had to b stranded on shore, the three destroyers were able to shove off with reasonable crews on board while the rebels were still securing the other two ships. The submarine was not able to recover enough of its crew and it was abandoned. The crew locked the thick titanium-steel doors of its covered dock as they left, effectively rendering it inaccessible. Now, the three destroyers made their way out of the harbor, accompanied by one icebreaker that would clear out any ice that may have drifted into the channel out to sea. The destroyers also launched their H-1N Firestorm helicopters, enabling active air and sea search radars, and sending a message to Navy command in Alaska, franticly asking for instructions.

OOC: The specs for the H-1N helicoper are on the same link, after the destroyers.

"Fighters Engage." The F-67s Swooped down on the enamy distroyers that just left port and fired Air-to-Ship Missiles. They then turned there attention to the H-1N Helo. The fired there 30 Caliber guns at it hoping to distroy it before it could get a signal out. The distroyers captured by Xina's troops left dock to engage the other distoyers if they survive the attack by the F-67s.

The Troops near the Super cobra brought out a Stinger Missiles lancher to shoot down the enamy helacopter.

In the main building Xina sent out a message to the Squornshelous govorment if they dont withdraw control from Antartica they would start killing hostages.

A group of troops stormed the Squornshelous govoners building. Assulting gaurds and making there way up to him.

With a small number of missiles coming in at the three destroyers, they were easily able to shoot them down with their SAM batteries. The Surface to Air Missiles were then targeted at the two aircraft. Giving them something to think about would help the choppers survive the strafing runs.

In the AH-1Z, the pilot was busy evading fire from the F-67's and his gunner, and experienced flyer who was originally intended to be the judge of the young pilots ability, spotted a group of rebels with a Stinger missile launcher. The chopper's mingun followed his gaze, guided by the equipment embedded in his helmet, and his finger tightned on the trigger, shells flying. His other hand touched a switch and magnesium flares popped out of the chopper, burning intensly, distracting any heat seaking missile that may have been launched. At the same time, the sea search radars noted that the two Prefect destroyers were making their way out of the harbor. While the complex SSM systems would probably be beyond the abilities of the rebels, the two destroyers were still dangerous with their 130mm cannons.

In an extremely unorthodox tactic, the ASROC torpedo launchers were all launched toward the approaching destroyers, in the hopes that the onboard sonar and computer, which were designed to target submarines, would attack the destroyers. The Mk-50 aerial torpedoes probably wouldn't sink the ships if they connected, but they would certainly slow them down and maybe even disable them.

The F-67s saw the Anti Aircraft Missiles coming in. They quickly engeged there scram jets. And Easely got away from the missiles. The Carrier fired Ship-to-ship Missiles from far off. These missiles were satalight guided. and extreamly fast.

Several Rebels were gunned down by the Super cobra they began to fire there AK-47s at the cocpit of the helacoppter. The two Perfect class Distroyers began fireing there 130mm Cannons at the enamy distroyers. And they also fired SAM batterys at the Helacoppter.

These torpedos hit the ship knocking the rebles to the floor of the ship. It began to slow the ship down but they continude to fire the Cannon.

IC:

The pilot of the Super Cobra grinned as small arms fire pinged off the bulletproof glass of his cockpit canopy, and his gunner triggered a couple of hellfire missiles into the largest crowds of rebels. The helicopter suddenly dipped and veered low behind one of the hangars at the airfield, deploying aluminum chaff in its wake. Several anti-air missiles flew by overhead, having lost their radar target. The three H-1N helicopters, in an extremely gutsy move, came in very low towards the captured destroyers, then popped up and released radar guided bombs, targeting the forward 130mm cannons. From such a close range it was impossible to miss, and the captured Destroyers were disarmed. The helicopters sped away over the water, leaving clouds of chaff behind them.

The three Squornshelan destroyers continued to launch their surface to air missiles at the enemy aircraft, hoping to bring them down by sheer number of missiles.

Meanwhile, the confusion back in the Squornshelan homeland had finally settled, and Premier Bokonon himself was now in contact with Xina, who as far as he knew, was the leader of the entire rebellion. The message he sent was this:
"The Squonshelan government is willing to negotiate with you concerning your demands of our withdrawl from Antarctica, however, if you continue to kill Squornshelan citizens and destroy Squornshelan military equipment, your force will be entirely obliterated. Squornshelan forces in the area are being ordered to cease fire at this time, but they will defend themselves if fired upon. Order your forces to do the same and we can settle this matter without any more bloodshed."

"Agreed. All troops stand down." At Xina's order the F-67s returned to the carrier. Rebels stoped firing. "Ok now listin to my demands. I want a full withdraw of all your troops and govorment. We want a free Antartica. A peacefull antartica. And with you here it isnt. So pull out. We wish to govorn ourselfs."

"I can agree to your requests, but a few terms must be met by you," Bokonon replied. "All Squornshelan military equipment that has been siexed by your forces will be returned to Squornshelan control so that it can be removed. Second, any citizens of Antarctica who wish to remain Squornshelan citizens must be permitted to leave along with our troops and government. And lastly, as we are doing your forces a considerable favor in withdrawing peacefully, we request that a reparation of 1 million dollars be paid to the family of each Squornshelan soldier or citizen who was killed in the course of your revolt."

The three Squornshelan destroyers slowly apporached the two that had been captured and a message was sent to them. "We have orders to request that you relinquish control of these two vessels and to drop you off on shore in the harbor." The AH-1Z that had been menacing the rebels on land slowly settled down to land on a helipad located in the naval complex at the harbor and the H-1N helicopters landed safely on their respective destroyers.

IC:
"Very well we will begin a full pullout of all Sqournshelan personnel from Antarctica."

After the destroyers returned to the harbor, the rebels were dropped off on shore and the sailors who had originally been left were able to board their ships. The ships would wait a few days while they attempted to repair the worst of the damage sustained, and then they would leave for the naval shipyards at Anchorage, Alaska. At the airfield, the pilots were let free, and soon, the Tu-22M3's were warming up on the tarmac, preparing to take off from their base for the last time, bound for Wake Island. Several C-5B Galaxy cargo aircraft and large cargo ships were dispatched to Antarctica to remove the tanks, helicopters and other vehicles. The troops and other personell would be removed bit by bit on planes and ships until none were left.
