Peace be upon you and the blessings and mercy of God.
As per Comes Council “Take Back our Streets Initiative”(resolution 05.02.18.01), the Office of the Comes Vigiles Urbani was authorized a one time bond of 15,000,000,000 BAT ($16,747,500,000 US), funded by the Banco Trucha, in discretionary spending.
The OCVU has targeted the following areas for spending:
1.5,000,000,000 BAT will be spent on recruitment and training.
2.Universal small arms will be adopted. (Contract A)
3.The purchase of an additional 5,000 WBM Peacekeepers (Spending Item OCVU 05.02.20.05)
4.The up-armoring and arming of said Peacekeepers (Contracts B, C, D)
5.New universal body armor. (Contract E)
6.Purchase of 20 new pursuit aircraft. (Contract F)
All Contracts will be openly bid for, or bought outright at agency discretion.
Contract A
The Vigiles Urbani will hereby standardize rifles, and submits the following requirements for said service weapon:
1.Chambered in 7.62mm NATO
2.Empty weight of less than 4.25 kg
3.Integral Picatinny Accessory Rail
4.Integral under barrel mounting system.
5.Burst fire is not necessary, the OCVU will not give any additional consideration for the prescience of said system.
6.Must accept a box magazine.
There will be 50,000 units ordered. The winner of said contract should expect at least an additional 25,000 units ordered from our precinct vigilante groups. All designs must be submitted for reliability testing one week hence forth.
Werks Technic, a regional R&D firm is seeking a production partner for of their entry. Post if interested.
Contracts B,C,D
While WBM's Peacekeeper has passed our service trails, a recent escalation in criminal firepower and armament has lead to demands of an increase in both armor and the addition of crew served weaponry, neither of which WBM as an automotive firm is prepared to offer. As such we are seeking to:
Contract B
Up armor our Peacekeepers with Explosive Reactive Armor, or removable ceramic plates.
Contract C
Purchase 5,000 of MG-3 pattern and spare parts.
Contract D
100 Automatic Grenade launchers. Applicants shall:
1.Be capable of firing CS, Smoke, or Expectorant Gas
2.Be capable of being fitted to a NHT.
Contract E
While we currently posses Level III body armor, it is not a popular item of kit. To make this item less burdensome we are seeking new body armor that:
1.Is level III in protection
2.Has a gross weight of less than 8.40 kg
3.Offers more protection than our current ballistic-plate style kit.
This order shall be for 50,000 units. All contenders should be entered for trials within one week of posting.
Contract F
Due to the destruction of several of our pursuit helicopters (model UH-1), we are grounding our current fleet and seeking a design more combat worthy. Designs shall:
1.Have an ECM suite
2.Have Doppler radar, or equivalent
3.Be capable of drastic maneuver in a complex 3D environment
4.Mount or be capable of mounting a projectile weapons system that has advanced targeting capabilities.
5.Pursuit speed of 150 kph.
6.Mount a search light.
7.Have an endurance range of not less than 400 km.
8.Hover capabilities (we are not excluding VTOLs).
9.Be capable of mounting and delivering air-to-ground missiles that weigh in excess of 90 kg.
There will be 20 units ordered, as well as spare parts. We likely will require training classes for our service crews and our pilots.
