any more advice?

The Aequatian Republic would be willing to establish relations with your nation by ways of a Ships-for-Bases style pact. We would deliver a number of vessels to replace those you currently have in service for merely an opportunity to establish forward naval and air stations within your nation.

We await your reply.

This offer does sound to be an interesting one. Whilst we would like to commit to such an agreement, the High Kingdom will, of course, require specifics. How many bases do you require? What part of Atruria would you require them to be placed on? How many ships will we recieve? What types of ships will these be? Where can we find the specifications of these ships? Any additional information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Tiberius Kustennin,
Minister,
HM Ministry of Defense

OOC: Mainland Atruria is a continent, about the size of the USA, which lies in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, near the mouth of the Mediterranean Sea. The Empire also lays claim to three colonies: Malta, an RL island-nation, placed strategically in the center of the Mediterranean; The Dodecanese Islands, an RL chain of Greek islands of the coasts of Greece and Turkey, and Isolond, an imaginary island, relatively close to the British Isles and France.

The Aequatian Erschoff Class Guided-Missile Destroyer (DDGN) (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8739992&postcount=16) is an excellent multi-purpose vessel which can take the place of several vessels already in service. Its missile systems allow for fleet air defence while its helicopter and sonar facilities allow it to perform anti-submarine warfare operations. The Trimaran-hull design also provides your forces with a very stable seaboat and helicopter platform. Its nuclear powerplant also allows it to operate indefinately (personnel and provisions permitting), refueling is only required once every twelve years.

The Erschoff-class DDGN could potentially replace the following vessels (in capability alone) currently in service:
- Arleigh Burke-class DDG
- Kidd-class DD
- Ticonderoga-class CG
- Oliver Hazard Perry-class FFG
- Zumwalt-class DDG

You may also browse the Aequatian Military Industries Storefront (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=414464) (mind the mess, in the middle of a reorganization) as well for other vessels that may suit your nation's Navy, however, if you do not find something that you like, you can contract the company to develop and produce the vessel for your nation's Navy.

As for bases within your nation, facilities for Army, Air Force and Marines on your mainland along with naval facilities that is capable of supporting aircraft carriers. The forces may be used as forward deployed forces for the Aequatian Republic and will also act in defence of your own nation should the need arise. In addition to deployment, we would also provide training for your nation's own forces and equip them.

We shall accept this offer in complete, apart from the training of our forces, which is already executed by the Infinite Empire of Yallak. We would, however, appreciate your equipping our troops and providing us with these Erschoff Class Guided Missile Destroyers, as well as, if possible, Blowpipe Class and Ocean Class submarines.

OOC: As an NS naval fan, I seriously suggest you do not use RL vessels -- if you must, use Sovremenny et al -- they actually have the missile capability to attack NS fleets, although only if in numbers.

Here are some places you can visit:
For smaller fleet ships (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=469451)
For LARGE Capital ships (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=467403)

Have fun on NS.

OOC: Thanks for your advice, I'll keep it in mind when I get around to revamping my navy.

We are pleased that this pact between our nations could be completed. We appreciate that your nation would act as host to forward bases within your country.

As for the vessels, we can construct the destroyers and submarines for your navy or allow you to purchase production rights and help in the construction of facilities that would allow your nation to produce the nuclear propulsion units for the vessels.
