Howdy,
Im sorta new to II rping, but have a good thread going with my new race.
Basically they are a 'zerg/Alien/Flood/Tyranid' type race in that they multiply and multiply by assimilating other species.
I have several ideas on how I want this race to go, but would love some advice from more experienced FT RPers.
The initial stage of infection is somewhat uninspired-
"Broodling" or "Tick"
-Almost identical in appearance to Half Life head crab (except some have six legs).
-These are multipurpose creatures in the "Nest". They tend to large creatures, build nests, and serve as drones. They also are the initial stage of infection of the "Parasite"- one latches on to the preys head or torso, seizes control of the body and from there a number of things could happen...
A couple of things, first I'd like name suggestions for this type of race- as everything I come up with and like sounds too much like Zerg.
Secondly and most importantly, I'd like suggestions for what the 'warriors' of this race could be like (I have several ideas of my own- IE taking the best of all aspects of 'Assimilated' creatures and forming genetic powerhouses.)
ALL other suggestions are appreciated, I want a race dangerous enough to pose a threat to technological powers but not goddmoddish in their ability. Again I have plenty of my own ideas, which I will disclose as I hear yours.
