Hello all,

I was thinking and have come to the conclusion Nationstates needs a WW2 thread based on the final days of the Third Reich. What i mean by this is each player will lead a squad or a lone soldier through where ever in Germany it is we decide to have this Rp take place. Each player will decide which side they wish to be on and Rp it with another 1 or 2 people..that way your squads can interact...

Let me know because i want to get this off the ground...it don't even have to be a major battle which would impact WW2 at all...just squad based combat. All that is required is your Sgt/Officers name who leads your squad and a bit of information about them...

I beleive this Rp could turn out to be full of fast paced action aswell as waiting for your enemy to fall into your plan of ambush..the Germans fight for their lives, the allies fight to win...

Squad : 10 former panzer soldiers from the Waffen SS now footslogging since they ran out off fuel for their Tigers.

equipment : MP40's, Mauser rifles, pistols, potato masher grenades and an anti tank weapon ( a copy of the US Bazooka)

status : falling back towards the city of Bonn with US and British forces in pursuit.

His squad have high morale considering that they managed to knock out several Shermans with their two tigers before they had to foot slog.

They are motivated to fight to the last man knowing what their fate will be if British forces catch them.

Destination: Unknown...willing to hold off the enemy for as long as humanly possible.

Leiutennet Bauffman served in SS headquarters in Berlin as his last assigned task. He served in Russia, poland and france in the early days. He was also a member at Himmlers sacred trainning castle near patterborn. Lt. Bauffman now leads a squad he put together against any opposing force..doing his last duty as an SS officer of the 3rd reich.

what year is it and what month.

UMmMm...1945...January? Therefor leaving afew options on what towns were avaible...And yes Brydog i suppose, but some how you would have to choose which nation he or she would side with during this war...but it can be a person from your nation...

Destination: Up to the Western Front still awaiting orders at the HQ

Erich is at the age of sixteen. He leads a squad of five men part of the Volkssturm. One being his life long friend Heinrich Heiden. They have been just recently trained and are going to the front very soon. Erich doesn't really believe in the cause anymore and just fights to save his country. He is a natural born leader. The squad is curretly in Hamburg awaiting orders to go to the Western Front.

I think we should kept it to true history and not use our countries.

Weapons: Pvts have M1 Garands equipped with grenade launchers... 3 grenades each. Crp has Browning Automated Rifle (BAR) and two grenades. Sgt. has Thompson SMG and two grenades.

My squad lead by Lt.Bauffmann is made up of SS troops. there is 2 of them that spent some time in a hospital with minor injuries..but hey..who in Germany isn't injured. They are pretty well organized with the right weaponry, when a town was deserted they simply took weapons and ammunition left by the Whermacht and other SS units on the retreat.

Lt.Baufmann was returning to berlin when his Captians staff car was swooped on by an American fighter plane killing the driver and the SS captain. Bauffmann drove the car to the nearest town and put a squad togeather knowing that he may suffer the same fate as his friend and commanding officer he decided to make a last stand on Nazi soil..doing his best to turn the tables.

The men in his unit are mostly young conscripts, some served with different SS panzer divisons in the early days. They feel it is their duty to stop the advance and will die trying.

I find it funny that my one on one sniper idea has sparked the ideas for 3 RPs total! :)

My squad will sit tight and wait for the enemy..they do not have the man power or the will to move foward..it would be suicidal to their purpose.

Since my troops are volunteers they will be given assignment. Can you [NS::]Reallydrunk be the one who gives Erich von Küchler his assignment to go to the front. You choose a town.

Yes that would be possible considering there is not that many German officers around to give those kind of orders...have your squad bump into my men...where should we have this..im open to ideas to which city/town we should start..lets look into it...

Erich von Küchler was in the Hilter Youth before the war. He was a loyal member and would fight for them. After seeing the tide of the war, Erich thought the cause was pointless. In November he was drafted into the Volkssturm. Also with Erich was his childhood friend, Heinrich Heiden. During training the officers saw his natural skills for leadership. So they gave Erich the rank of Feldwebel. During training Erich commanded his squad with Heinrich as Stabsunteroffizier. When the squad was formed the youngest person was 14 years old. Now after training the squad awaits orders to go to the front. They are currently in the barracks in Hamburg.

Ok, im going to make the thread soon...Where should it take place...Your squad can just stumble upon mine to receive orders. Also aside from my squad there is 4 hitler youth present aswell..2 of which are wounded.

Squad strenth: 2 men of Battle of the Bulge Making Retreat back to Bonn. They are both Snipers in the German Army and are equipped with the Gewehr 43s. They have plenty of ammo but low amounts of food and water.
Equipment: 2 Gewehr 43s
Location: 25 KM West of Bonn

(A note on Vollenhofer's squad: They have captured a group of Königstigers from Kirisubo's squad, and refueled it. This means that actually two squads are operating under Vollenhofer. Also, a Van Luxemburgian is thought to know at least basic knowledge of German, French, English and Dutch. Lëtzebuergesch is also a quite common laguage klnown, but not official by then. in Modern VL, this is the official language, but then still a majority language.)

heres also a few 88mm shells left in each tank and a full load of MG42 ammo as well.

Well, I think the people that refueled them have done that. Only thing is, that I might want to capture a stash of ammo, and maybe a Flak 88, it uses the same ammo.

Just an FYI, the Germans didn't use the '42 as a tank MG, as it was prone to overheat when fired too much. They used the '34 as the hull-mounted tank MG.

The story is going togeather like a puzzle. We need more allied units to fight the axis forces though..i think im going to have Bauffmann move towards Magdeburg, i would like to run into a brittish unit or even American..i will head away from the russians :)

I would like to take part in this extremely interresting RP, if you're still taking new people in. It appears that you're lacking Allies, but the Axis groups seem to be somewhat smaller than the Allied ones, especially Van Luxembourgs armoured column, so perhaps one Axis group could still be let to join the fun?

I would present a "squadron" of 11 men. Not any ordinary Germans though, I want to be original. Those guys are Cossacks from the 15th SS Cossack Cavalry Corps (motorized), 2nd Regiment of Don. This regiment wasn't with the main body of the corps when it surrendered to the British in Austria, but heard what the Brits did to it and to thousands of civilian Cossacks that were with them (murdered, raped and pillaged) and aren't therefore eager to surrender.

Not to the Soviets, who will execute them for treason. Not to the British, who slaughtered their brothers few months ago. The remigent was broken in fierce battles against the Brits in the Alps, and remnants were spread to all directions.

This group is therefore just wondering aimlesly, shooting pretty much anyone who tries to stop them taking what they need. They have an American halftracks and they are armed to the teeth (MG 42's, PpSH's, StG 44's).

Their leader is Obersturmführer Pjotr Melehov, propably the only man in Europe holding both 1st Class Cross of Iron and the star of Hero of Soviet Union (for his achievements in Ghalkin Ghol against Japanese in '39), and isn't really someone to be fucked with.

Weapons:Veterans have PPSh submachine guns, and 2 DP-48 light machine gun, conscripts have Mosin-Nagant bolt action rifles, Specialist and commisar have PPSh. Sergeant, Commisar, and the veteran with the DP-48 carry Tokarev semi-automatic pistols. All carry spare ammunition and three RDG-33 grenades. Specialist carries four anti-tank land mines.


Situation:After the Russians have launched their blistering counter-attack through Eastern Europe, they find themselves coming across stauncher resistance. A column from the 8th Guards Army was walking down a highway that supposedly lay within their own lines, when they came under heavy machine gun fire. Though the attack was repulsed, the Army had fragmented. Most had returned to their own front lines, but Ivan's group had happened to chance upon a grizzled Commisar. Berating them for falling back, he cited Stalin's famous decree, "not one step back!". Now Ivan's group is wandering aimlessly, trying to find and kill as many Germans as they can, until they can find a way to be rid of this troublesome Party member.
