Timur needed to get them out. The Mongols had been suffocated by the Hanese too long. The Hanese had persocuted the people from the north, they had created tribal rivalries and had destroyed the common ground that had united the people from the steppes 500 years earlier. He knew that the Mongols could beat almost anybody but they needed some unity and to stop stupid in wars that were just created by their Hanese oppresors.
Timur called in his tribesmand and told them about his plan and to try to get some other tribes to comply to be under his leadership, at least temporarily, to get them to get out of Hanese oppresion. They agreed to help him if he could gurantee their security, he said he could and they went to get the 5 nearest tribes to help.
Timur then thought some more and figured out his grand plan, first he wanted to get out of the yoke of Chinese opression then go and create a grander empire than even their ancestors had done. He wanted to make Attila proud but first he needed to unite. Timur then went and waited for his assistants to come back...
