OOC: This is the war to end all wars for the Zeres System and the billions calling it home. Anyone can take part in it, but there are alot of factions and outside forces pulling the entire thing along. It takes place a few months after Emperor Darius' funeral, and the first uprisings against what of Zeres takes place. If you want to be involved you should have some connection with one of the groups in Nili, or otherwise just pass by with a probe or small ship. Chances are that an enormous battle-fleet won't be cruising around this area, since the Autocratic Triumvirate of Nili had a policy of aggressively destroying anything which entered the space unauthorised, so attempt to be realistic with numbers if you decide to pop in fighting.
If you need information check my Factbook. I'll get into more detail tommorow. If it seems like too many factions fighting I might just seperate it into a multitude of threads.

"You always struck me as the type to go all the way though..." The robe covered man whispered, rubbing a finger against the inscription solemnly. Even with the all-consuming walls it was easy to tell that there was something strange about him, though it was hard to tell just what it was, "Even with all of Zeres behind you, you took such a large risk and died. Was my training not enough? Were you unable to use your science to reach the final plateaus?... Or perhaps you simply gave up and abandoned us, your family?"
"Papa, its time to go!" A scantily clad Cartherai (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/aninegirl1.jpg) shouted as she rushed over to the robed man, wrapping an arm around him as she smiled sweetly, "Did you pay your respects yet?"
"...Yes. Lets go Aria, I've said what I needed to." He said slowly, spending another few seconds to look over the inscription. He was expecting something a bit more... Powerful than that, "...Theres no reason to call me Papa when no ones around... You know that right?"
"Oh alright!" She giggled.
"Theres no need to shout either... Lets return to the ship. Its getting rather dangerous here, especially with him around. You shouldn't have come alone."
"Mmph!" She pouted energetically as she skipped behind the robed figure as the two walked away from the impressive grave site and out the well guarded doors of the complex housing the thing.
------The Factions------
((These are the forces with actual potent armies and forces. I'll go indepth when I have time))
The Marianda Trade Corporations: Ruled by Yzak Vellun II (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/color-lucifer-1.jpg), they are currently attempting to replace Marianda's Republic with their own system of government, so that they can reap the rewards of the venture. They are one of the few militaries in Zeres with Naval Units, and have hundreds of thousands of them currently doing combat with the Republic.
The Republic of Marianda: The Republic of Marianda has numerically superior foes than the Trade Corporations they are currently fighting, however they have far less resources. Thankfully for now they have been able to hang onto their territories, and control nearly all of the cities above the planet's surface, despite the fact that they have made no progress under the massive ocean.
The Unmasked: A fringe sect of Zephon's cult, The Unmasked are ruled by former High Priest Zarin Fangel (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/images.jpg). His philosophy of conquest and chaos stands in the face of Zephon's of contemplation and stability. Their true goals are as of yet unknown, but they have control of most of Zecron and parts of Zelleria and claim that Zephon himself has the Masked Beast locked away in Zelleria's core. As of yet Zephon has not given any response to this. The Unmasked are currently doing battle against both Zephon and a small Cartherai Defense Force Army at present, primarily only on Zecron and Zelleria.
Cartherai Defense Force: The Cartherai Defense Force is a large movement on Catharsis which believes that the Ashitare and have become too uppity. They are led by one of Darius' numerous offspring, Vincent Darius (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/ab00.jpg), and wish to once again bring about the slavery of these two races. There are rumors of an anti-android agenda, but it seems to have been stopped, as they are receiving armaments from Arusia. They are currently spread rather thin along numerous planets, but are primarily doing battle with numerous other armies on Catharsis, along with small portions of the Zephon's Cult, counting The Unmasked alongside them.
Imperial Protectorate: Some Remnants of the previous government still remain, and have formed a large Protectorate which encompasses Darius, and have taken the laser defense grid temporarily offline. They are led by High General Karin Nez'rahl (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/pic_strident_01_l.jpg), a cyborg currently attempting to bring the Empire back to what it once was. Though located over Darius, they are also attempting to bring Gambit online, which is being assaulted by portions of The Marianda Trade Corporations and the Cartherai Defense Force. Along with this, there appears to be something else in the wilderness slowly striking out at them.
Zephon's Cult: Based on Zelleria, Zephon's Cult is currently being barraged by The Unmasked and the Cartherai Defense Force, but are allied with the Imperial Protectorate, though as of yet unable to offer assistance to them or vice versa. They are led by Zephon (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/Lforest.jpg) himself, who calls the Unmask's claims that he is holding the Masked Beast "insane", though has not shown them the more inaccessible areas of the planet, causing the war to begin. With the war slowly progressing, large portions of Zelleria's underground cavern network have been infiltrated, and the infighting has led to dozens of horrific massacres over both planets.
The Asteroid Belt Alliance: Led by an enormous coalition between the hundreds of space countries built in, out, and around the asteroid belt itself, they have attempted to close themselves off from the war. Despite this, they ahve been attacked by almost every single force from one time or another attempting to use them for their material gains. It has recently died down, however General Kas' War Machine has as of yet not given up and shows no signs of backing down.
The Empire of Kas: Led by former Imperial General Kas (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/12295.jpg), they have only risen in power with Darius' passing. Due to the natural blockade of the asteroid belt, he has as of yet been untouched by most of the other major factions. To take advantage of that he has slowly been reaping large portions of the Asteroid Belt Alliance, even while his defenses themselves are slowly chipped away by his only opposisition on planet Kraite, Warlord Dejikas. His true motives behind the war seem to be merely to become ruler of the empire, however as of yet nothing is known for a fact.
Warlord Dejikas: Warlord Dejikas (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/Newstuff.jpg) is a half Kabalese Warrior on the fringes of Kraite, who before the war made a living by raiding military supply routes and petty theft, all the while secretly gunning for control of the planet. With Darius dead, he has since come out of hiding, and has a modest amount of Kraite under his control, but is slowly losing manpower. His plans are to unite Kraite peacefully under himself, and then to possibly take the System himself. He is currently sending scouts out to get assistance for this. Other than Kas, hes recently been targetted for assassination by the Cartherai Defense Force.
Arusia Incorporated: Owned and ruled by the primordial Android Zack (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/33008.jpg), Arusia has recently sold entire legions of robotic weapons and vehicles during the war, and is only reaping in more and more profits as the flames of war engulf all other portions of the System. Currently he shows no sign of entering himself, as he is content with his current power, and the planet he already has control of.
The Empire of the Yurka: Led by Yurka (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/asra-stb.jpg), they have not done anything to prevent the war, and has infact instigated it by taking their military peace force completely outside of the Star System. Their reasons for doing this are unknown, as they were originally the ones to stop the war in the first place. Any attempts to contact them have gone unanswered, and many angry civilians blame them for the current conflict.
