New Nation proclaimed inside our Borders, Disputes are occuring:

A small island north of San Haven (Which exists as part of our nation) has been overtaken by militia overnight!

Militia overran the islands Police and the small Office of the Border & Customs, killing 11 people. The Island has a rather small poulation compared to the main island, with just 330,240. But much of the population have accepted the leadership, and will fight if it is eliminated. The island was once native tribes, but the very fertile lands are now home to 'Drug Country'. Last year, the island produced $1.1 Billion Peso worth of Drugs, cheifly Cocaine but only $90.1 Million Peso managed to escape Customs and made it's way into Mexico & Cuba and smuggled into the States.

Officials have agreed for them to have the island, providing violence does not occur between both nations.
However if it does, the small forces of San Haven are outnumbered. Thousands of heavily-armed militia are ready.

Milita have agreed to name the island Santa Rosa Lee. The Militia, largely support Communism. Their Government is yet to be formed...

Should we gain back control of the island, or allow armed Militia to export Drugs without our Customs and Border Service? The Militia could be communists, should we attack them???

So far the San Haven Goverment are sitting in Parliment discussing the issue!
Inside sources have said, the Government is planning all-out-war on Santa Rosa Lee! Large Numbers of the San Haven Defense Force could be on the island in the next 12 hours.

Should our government claim war or let the whole thing go?

Dear San Haven Civil Servants,
I am currently writing to you on the behalf of the nation of the High Kingdom of Atruria and of its people. Concerning the island of Santa Rosa Lee, I must encourage you to re-acquire this land for the benefit of its people and the stability of the surrounding region. Furthermore, it would be dangerous, to the world as a whole, to allow another evil communistic state or a drug-dealing nation to exist. Further worse, would be to allow a country with both of these attributes to exist. If wanted, parts of the Atrurian Royal Navy will be able to aid you in this operation, as the Royal Navy's Clever Lady and Lively Pimp Battle Fleets (battle groups) are currently situated in international waters within several hours from San Haven. On another note, I offer my condolences, for the eleven government officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the island's defense, to you and their families. Let these martyrs not be forgotten.

Foreign Minister Aimon Le Guin, on behalf of the Red Party and the newly established revolutionary union Hiatian-Dominican government, expresses the deep displeasure of Republica Rojo Quisqueya in respect of international reaction to the succession of Santa Rosa Lee and reported plans for war.

If it is the will of the inhabitants of Santa Rosa Lee to run their own lives independent of the remote San Haven authority, then no civilised person or power can oppose this and expect to walk safe from the recrimination of all who value human freedom.

Pedernales extends an offer to host talks between the San Haven government and a popular delegation from Santa Rosa Lee, and is even prepared to send troops to ensure public safety on the embattled isle.

Meanwhile, and quite unofficially, the Improved Tupi Class SSK Tikuna , purchased from Brazil and not even known to have completed sea trials with the naval arm of the QER [Quisqueyan Red Army], departs Hispaniola with the intention of the stealthy insertion of Sestato Foreign Section agents into Santa Rosa Lee for the gathering of useful intelligence on the rebel movement.

OCC: Plans for possible invasion are still underway. Both parties in the Government have brought different views!

OCC: Military Support would be appreciated but we are concerened that nations helping Santa Rosa may attack us or declare War!

Intelligence has militia numbers at around 30,000!

The Aequatian Navy currently has the carrier RNS Warrior (CVN-86) within the region as it had detoured to rendezvous with the support ship RNS Sanborn (AOE-27) and both vessels are now within a day's travel time to your nation and, with your permission, wish to support your actions on the island of Santa Rosa Lee.

In such a situtation as this, where the natives of a island seek 'independance' from the rightful owners on the 'homeland', I feel you should not declare war upon these people. For they are not independant, and a declaration of war upon them is not needed. Though we do support the suppression of their rebellion and the execution of their false government. I ask you, what will this tiny nation achieve on its own? It is obvious corrupted to the breaking point due to illegal drug trade, not to mention its communist views will only lead to a fanatical red dictatorship where the people are mindlessly killed so their leaders may export drugs to foreign lands.

If you need, the Jagadian Grand Fleet can send the Remington Task Force to Santa Rosa. With this fleet is the 57th 'Iron Soldiers' Divison, I believe they could easily deal with this militia and could help with the destroy of drug farms and such.

If you do not require ground commitment, there are cruise missiles on several of the task force's ships and can be used to break any stronghold of militia resistance.

That is our offer.

Pedernales has increased its criticism of what it describes as over-reaction, paranoia, and reactionary bloodlust.

The international community is forcefully reminded that Santa Rosa Lee became a centre for the production of illegal drugs while under the administration of San Haven, not the rebel authority, and we have as yet seen little if any clear evidence of rebel intent to increase or even tollerate that production.

Further, it has been said that much of the Santa Rosan population supports the formative government there, and violent intervention will not only be potentially undemocratic but will only serve to ferment greater troubles for the future.

As there is no existing information indicating hostile intent on the part of the new Santa Rosan authority against either San Haven or any other nation, the Quisqueyan Red Party can not see pressing need for military intervention, and the Republic restates its preparedness to host discussions, deploy observers, and, if it be found necessary, to dispatch security forces for public safety operations, and suggests that other interested nations reconsider their own position in light of such alternative possibilities.

During the night, from perhaps several kilometres off-shore, two inflatables attempt to make landfall on a stretch of Santa Rosan coast thought to be relatively remote. Nine veterans of the Haitian-Dominican revolutionary war paddle hard, hoping soon to be observing the situation on the island and, if it be deemed safe, to make contact with formative authorities. The Tikuna, from which the men launched, submerges once again and begins to withdraw, not waiting even to learn whether the volunteers reach shore.

Captain Jack Fairbanks was aboard the bridge of the RNS Warrior as it turned parallel to its supply ship and both vessels began their course towards San Haven for their operations off the disputed island of Santa Rosa Lee. The main role would be air interdiction of rebel forces and strike missions against rebel positions and island infrastructure. It would be at least twelve hours before they reached a position in which they could effectively deploy their aircraft and begin missions over the island.

OCC: The Governments actions are to be announced shortly! Meanwhile Militia on the island have began rounding up San Haven supporters and senting them to Prison Camps all over the island! Anti-Militia Supporters have been murdered (atleast 600 at the moment!)!

OCC: The island is much made of Jungles! San Haven Military Officials believe it could be a 'Vietnam 2'!

Jungle Warfare!!!!

The Warrier came to a halt in its position nearly 30 kilometres Southeast of Santa Rosa Lee Island and its crew had completed the preparations for the launch of the carrier's aircraft to strike targets inland. Many of the primary targets had been chosen by Central Command after careful review of satellite photographs, it was decided that important military installations would be the main focus.

OOC: Before I launch my aircraft for strike missions around the island, I'd like to know about the militia's potential threats to my aircraft (anti-aircraft artillery, surface-to-air missile sites, militia-controlled aircraft) along with a few extra pieces of information such as important military and civilian infrastructure, mostly along the lines of military barracks, storage facilities, power plants, bridges, etc.

OCC: Intelligence reveals that the Jungles of Santa Rosa (around 72% of the island) has many anti-aircraft artillery guns around the island. Currently no Militia aircraft have been spotted or rumoured to occupy the island. The Militia is mostly Ground forces spread throughout Jungles all over the island.

A small number (in the hundreds) are manning a few older model 18-footer boats armed with US Model M-60s.

As for the ground forces - there armed with Ak-47s, Akms, Chinese Ak-74, RPG-7s and older soviet-bloc style weapons. But don't be fooled, they are good jungle fighters like the Viet-Cong in Vietnam. Customs have also blockaded the island to prevent drugs from being sent overseas (illegally)!

I think, ground forces & aircraft are the way to go!
However those people supporting by naval, your help is needed. If it possible, naval ships could surround the island, and intercept people fleeing the island (potential militia, civiliians) and seize and check any foreign boat passing through (only seize them if they have illegal cargo!).

The Government is going to attack! However Diplomatic Teams will go over and persuade the Militia to surrender their arms. If this team fails, our troops will run in. But if they do surrender, we will still go in, because there will be some hard-core militia.

More Intell has revealed there forming a communist government!!!

OCC: Diplomatic team (Escorts incl.) were sent to a Militia Haven north east of Santa Rosa at 9:22 EST! They arrived at 10:01. At 10:30 the meeting was started with Militia Leaders and Communist Members (Santa Rosa Government) sat and discussed plans. At 11:47, the entire team was murdered!

The San Haven Government has sent troops abroad to Santa Rosa! At least 72,000 people are enganging in this counterattack! An amphebious landing has taken place south of the island, with the first of the force eliminating the milita occupation in the small port. However even as the landing was in our favour, San Haven forces lost 67 men. But a small loss will not stop our attack! Meanwhile the Milita have moved south! Intell on the island has revealed the Milita is known to be called 'Royal Reds'!

Communism is to be eliminated!!!

Jungle/Jungle Urban Warfare will slow our progress!

Royal Red (Militia) are believed to have around 300 deaths.
San Haven General-In-Command San Lumbre said the Milita have extreme training and are sharp-shooters. With the island Communism beliefs, he believes they have had Soviet-Bloc Training.

Meanwhile the Militia have disbanded their Navy in wake of dozens of Naval Units from San Haven and its Allies. The Militia is believed to be tripled, as more people take up arms and have fled to the jungles to form a 'Vietnam 2'!

OCC: The Caribbean Americano Pact (CAP) has agreed to sent 2,124 Special Forces to a northern area, which has no influence of any type of Milita!

The reason of such a act by CAP was to protect the 32,500 people living in the area. The closest activity involving the communists forces are at least 45 Miles away!

CAP will also sent forces to the south, in a few days to help citizens and displaced people!

Meanwhile, fighting had began on the first acres of the Fertile Land North East of the small town 'geso'!
San Haven Land & Air forces have come across 'Communist Forces' (AKA Milita or Royal Reds). The next 150 miles or so is very fertile and holds Millions, possibly Billions worth of Drugs such as Cocaine and Mariuanna!

Several Strongholds in the Area have forced the SDF back several Kilometres, following a large push from a new-arrival of Royal Reds!

Meanwhile Intell has revealed an accurate number of Royal Red Communist Milita - 209,643

Only a few hours fighting has brought a huge death number on San Haven.
However the San Haven Air Force is currently holding forces at bay, while other squardrons are fighting Anti-Air Guns and Strongholds, 91kms east!

Text messages came into Bunker 87 as the crew of 3 men were lounging around. Suddenly the printer went to work and printed several pages before the private could tear the sheet off. He turned toward his supperior and then nodded. The two men walked to their computers and typed in the codes that were dispatched to them. They then flipped open small glass doors and inserted keys into locks. If the keys were turned, several ICBM's with chemical weapons would be fired upon the island where the rebels were, killing off the rebels, anyone who supported the rebels, and the drug smugling operations.

OCC: We thank for the offer. However we would like to preserve much of the Jungle as possible. But the heart of the Militia and Communists is north west of the island (use of satellite is vital to locate it). You will see its the largest city on the island and one of the only in the area. It is situeated 12km of the coast, and a river (which is vital to the communists) runs to the city!

Operation Crimson Elimination has continued, as the SDF broke through communist strongholds this morning! However they only progressed a few miles and are now facing more strongholds! They are only 12 miles away from Vietnam 2. CAP Reinforcements are about two days behind the frontlines, and are 'cleaning up'!

The SDF has had enourmous Success in the last few hours.....

Aequatian carrierborne aircraft have begun their strike missions on Communist targets on the island and will be targetting strongholds along with urban centres. Strike aircraft are protected from anti-aircraft systems with electronic warfare aircraft which disrupt enemy detection and communication systems. Fifty F-62 "Black Sparrow" strike fighters are conducting missions along with ten EF-62 "Electric Sparrows." Nearly twenty-five targets will be struck with munitions mounted on two aircraft.

Despite taking a long time to reach the area of Santa Rose--the Remington Task Force were within range to launch their cruise missiles. Due that no carrier task force or fleet, or even just a carrier was within a thousand miles of San Heaven, cruise missiles would have to do.

The top decks of the ships of the Remington Task Force were thick with the intense smoke as the cruise missiles flew off into the sky, destined to hit the Rebel forces. Their locations were gathered by San Haven reports, combined with satelliate images of the battlefield. The Militia did have a strong group of men and if the cruise missiles hit their front lines it would probably kill the San Haven troops too. So they were targeted at the second line of militia strongholds. All in all close to twenty or thirty cruise missiles were launched for an initial strike. These missiles wouldn't destroy the jungle or cause excessive damage, so much as vaporize any stronghold that it hit.

OCC: Military Intell has revealed approx. 5000-12,000 dead soldiers just north of the current strongholds that the SHDF are fighting!
This was only possible due to allied forces, not the SHDF!

Meanwhile New Communist Leader Henry Yetts said such an accident will not stop the attacks....

OCC: Intense Fighting overnight has sparked a large debate in the government whether or not Santa Rosa is worth the trouble???

Officials said that all SDF & CAP Forces will evacuate the area within 24 hours. However Anti-Communist Forces are doing their best (currently around 10,000 Anti-Communist) and holding out in the Jungles south of the islands largest city!

The Government will consider Peace-keeping actions in the future however. The Communist Government of Santa Rosa is now recongised by San Haven but is still an enemy!

OCC: Diplomatic Talks between the San Haven Government and the Santa Rosa Communist Party are underway.

The Communists will not attack any territory, will only occupy Santa Rosa and will not interfer with embassies and Offices belonging to San Haven. In return we must lift the trade embargo and allow them to freely control their island & have a strong economy between us.

Is this a fair deal???
We seem to think so...

But the 'drug issue' cannot be dealt with at present & is an issue for the future!

We will also sent a CAP Peacekeeping force into the area to deal with those Anti-Communist-Communist Conflicts....

But we are still against Communism!!!
