NHT-1
http://www.serenadawn.com/Amethyst/Amethyst-Encounters-Saints_files/image013.jpg
Designed primarily during the early 1990's, the Nephilim is the newest main battle tank to be placed into circulation within the Soviet armed forces. Used primarily for an all-around fighter, the Nephilim has an almost spotless track record. Serving both during the end of the Holiday Revolution and the entirety of the Spectre War, the Nephilim seems to be a new trademark of the Soviet military
Dimensions
- Length: 6.7 meters
- Height: 4.3 meters
- Width: 3.2 meters
- Weight (relative): 38.44 metric tons
- Clearance: .8 meters
- Crew: 4 (1 commanding officer, 1 turret operator, 2 gunnery officers)
Origin
- Designer: Makovsky Design Bureau
- Manufactorer: Soviet Nationalized Associates
- Type: Main battle tank; under-chassis hovering, mechanized vehicle
Service History
- Holiday Revolution: Small scale combat
- Spectre War: Large scale combat, secondary tank

— 2x M240 7.62mm machineguns
— 1x flame thrower
- 1x RRG mk3 light laser (disabling LIDAR systems)
Armor
The armor of the Nephilim is Kaktus Armor developed within the Soviet Union and currently only used on Soviet mechanized units. The exact schematics of Kaktus Armor may not be released due to security purposes; however, some information is able to be released. Such as:
- Kaktus was developed to withstand over-head striking projectiles
- Kaktus was developed to withstand most kinetic weaponry
- Kaktus was developed to cause “sheering” of projectiles
- Kaktus was developed to diminish thermal energy over a relative area
Most all other information is currently confidential and not subject to international scrutiny.
Development

The Nephilim Hovering Tank Project began in the late 1980's upon the discovery that by using the earth’s magnetic field (specifically, the individual lines of magnetic energy), one could develop a propulsion system that uses a combination of the lines and metallic substances within the earth and sea to travel. Using this concept, the EMPS propulsion system was designed.
The Electro-magnetic Pulse Surface uses the basic magnetic postulate: north repels north, south repels south. Using electricity, the EMPS aligns its internal substance in opposition to metallic deposits in the sea and earth, causing the tank to hover. Using this and aligning the substance in opposition to the earths own magnetic field at any relative point, allows for elevation to be achieved.
The Nephilim prototype took approximately twelve years to perfect and if finally being implemented into the Soviet armed forces for active duty. Currently, no Nephilim tanks are being produced for sale.
