In an earlier announcement, the People's President of Gejigrad, Matthew Thompson, has declared that the island nation will be launching several successive shuttles, each equipped with a module or submodule for the XH-1, the nation's first orbital habitat, and first space station, for that matter. The project will take an estimated ten to fifteen years to complete, and will greatly alleviate the Republic's strain on finding land for its half-billion citizens. It has been suggested that with these launches, a new section of the Air Force may be created, specifically for exoatmospheric protection. Subsequent stations are also planned, as the population continues to expand, daily gobbling up the nation's wildlands, which it has tried to preserve, despite immense pressure.
