My main Nation is Luchamos, I formed Cagamos to RP something different

I thought it would be interesting to RP a nation in a war for independence. Secrina, Theao's nation/puppet was agreed to be the home country.

The rebel cities are green

So the story in brief:

The Colony of Cagamos was under the rule of Secrina. The colony and homeland had gotten along for years, however now Secrina angered the colony with lack of freedoms, conscription, and heavy taxation.

Cagamosians decide to protest, but they are divided on whether to change the homeland, or split off. Those in favor of Independence were called Elezerias.
Three cities have been really opressed, while Secrina was careful to make three cities loyal to the homeland, thus resiting rebellion. These anti-independence citizens were called Piotos. A pro-Secrina terrorist organization formed called the Prozotecs to keep the Elezerias in fear.

The story started with 11 leading citizens meeting to discuss which option to choose.

It is essentially rebels wanting freedom versus their tyrant. It would be MT. The thread has been started but it is not too late to join up. Is anyone intrested in RPing a merc unit or government sponsored force?

I'd be interested in having the Lost Hills Defense Forces support the rebels. I'm not too sure that you're looking to have me declare all-out war on Secrina though, so could you give me some guidelines as to where you'd like me?

I'm also off-and-on with this whole thing, so my support could be patchy.
Cagamos
21-02-2006, 02:06
You could have an independent force join, like the American volunteer forces in the Spanish Civil War. No need for your whole nation to declare war.
Or, if you have a naval force available, you could do most of the sea battles, as Cagamos does not have a whole lot a naval force.
Whatever you want to do works with me
Lost Hills
21-02-2006, 02:22
We have an obnoxiously large naval force, so we'll be able to support the rebels in that way.

Be warned though, this is a really really obnoxiously large force (many hundreds of ships). Perhaps it would be best if we only sent a couple.

Edit: On the map, which cities are rebel and which cities aren't? There isn't exactly a key to distinguish green from red.
Cagamos
21-02-2006, 03:02
Then you can just send a smaller force. Go ahead to the main thread.

Oops, the green are rebel. I'll edit the 1st post.

I'm thinking about sending some of my navy and airforce
Cagamos

The rebel forces have a limited air force, so any help would be essential. The Navy could back up Lost Hill's force. Go ahead and post in the Main

Probably not a big deal. I'll probably be off and on with this too.

Any questions on the technology I'm using can be addressed with my tech thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=463913) and the DMI thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=440478).

What is the uncontraction version of THFLT?
Also, assuming the rail-guns only have a few shots before needing overhaul(as this is MT)?
Lost Hills
22-02-2006, 15:19
Theaosian(?) Fleet

I believe the 30" guns are the ones that wear out. The 16" coilguns and the 14" railguns have some more longetivy. I can TG DMG to clarify.

Edit: Oh hell I'm fighting Secrina here. Do you mind if I edit the posts to SFLT?

Ah, actually all the RPing done is from the nation of Secrina(including the ships and all that(as Theao(correct plural is still Theao)isn't involved)) it's just too much hassel to switch between my main, and Secrina.

My mistake. I'll fix it.

[In regards to the railguns] Unfortunately, I don't have exact numbers for the question. However, you are correct in saying that the 30" are much more likely to need work at a quicker rate. However, I would say "overhaul" is not exactly the right word... more so "maintenance" (as all weapons do).

I could send the best fighter squadron in our entire country if you like. I'm supporting the rebellion.
Cagamos

Somewhere in S America- That would be good, just remember that Secrina has a blockade up, so you will have to avoid the usual naval things that can shoot you down.

No, not Cagamos's puppet master.
All but one of my puppets is in my region, the one is in Liberalia.
Also appologies for not replying to IC sooner, haven't had a chance/time to work on the kind of post I need for the IC section.

Is there room for anyone else on in the RP. If so, I would like to RP a state sponsored mercenary group called Omicron Solutions. Basically, what you have is a mercenary group that diverts a portion of its profits to Beta Aurigae VII so they can recieve equipment, supplies, and money. It might not make much sense but the way my government sees it, none of our people die from it and we make a little bit on the side. Anyhow, here is an overview of the unit:

Omicron Solutions
Core Operatives:

CEO: Charles Martin (Ex-US Special Forces)
Partners: Duncan Miller (Ex-British SAS)
Peter Erickson (Ex-Swedish Military)
Martin Kebit (Ex-Navy Seal)
Additional Personnel: One squad of 23 men with similar training

Description:
Modeled after a group known as Executive Outcomes, the operatives of Omicron Solutions are extremely resourceful fighters. Due to their superior training in their respective militaries these men have the combined power to successfully topple governments with very little outside assistance. Having vast connections throughout the world, they can be outfitted with anything from a handgun to a battleship within a few days. Any additional personnel needed to carry out a mission are hired from vast pools of other mercenaries.

Price: Price: $2 Million USD upfront + Expenses

If you accept my bid to join, I will make a proper IC introduction in the main thread.

Sure you can join, but which side?
Beta Aurigae VII
24-02-2006, 03:24
I'll join Secrina's forces simply to even things out as they appear to be outnumbered. I always go with the underdog. You're probably not going to see more than 5,000 infantry. And enough support vehicles and such because let's be realistic here, first of all this is a mercenary group so I can't just pull half a million troops out of thin air and niether Secrina or I would have the resources to pay that many troops on top of whatever Secrina has to begin with. All of my weapons are of my own design (based on RL stuff of course) so don't be alarmed if you see some strange names for weapons and such. If you would like the specs on anything just let me know and they will be made avaliable to everyone via this thread.

This (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9570587&postcount=259) explains all the HES, Mist Refraction, and Guardian stuff.
Lost Hills
25-02-2006, 04:03
Theao: I'm not too clear what you mean by counterfire as a result of the MR and HES. It's actually designed to make the ship invisible to the naked eye. We've still got massive radar signatures and stuff that you could probably exploit.

It was more to ward off the Wolfpacks.

Edit: What is R2-D2 or ABMA1?
Theao
25-02-2006, 04:20
Ah, I didn't realize that they wouldn't be 'screened' against radar.
R2-D2s are dome shaped Anti-missile systems(upgraded varients of the Phalanx CIWS)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phalanx_CIWS
ABMA1s are where the turret of an M1-A1 Abram MBT has replaced the R2-D2, and is designed for anti-small vessel/close in medium vessel work.
Lost Hills
25-02-2006, 04:29
From the description of the ships, they are "geometrically constructed to disperse radar." I assume this means they have a small-ish radar sig. Take what you will from it though.

The dreadnought is absolutely massive and probably isn't very stealthy at all.
