~General Information~
National Name: The Holy Republic of Shalaam
Religion: Islam 50%, Judaism 49%, other 1% (mostly Ba'hia, Druze, and a few Christians).
Language: Arabic and Hebrew are the two official languages, enshrined in the Shalaaman constitution. All laws must be written in both Arabic and Hebrew.
Goverment Type: Democracy, with a separation of powers similar to the US.
Govermental Divisions:
Parliament (like a normal Earth parliament, except there is no prime minister)
Ministry of Defense
Ministry of Justice
Ministry of Finance
Ministry of Terraforming

Ministry of Foreign Relations
Court Systems
The Enviroment: The planet Shalaam is a gas giant, reddish in color. The capital moon, Al-Aqsa, is a frozen wasteland. The moon of Kineret is an ice-covered world with an ocean beneath. Negev is volcanic, and the six remaining moons - Fatimah, Hebron, Yericho, Beesheva, Hermon, and Nazaret - are simply balls of rock. Shalaam also has a massive ring system.
Hazards: Meteors, earthquakes on the moons, and hurricanes on Shalaam. The star in the system is somewhat more radioactive than normal, but Shalaam's powerful magnetic field protects the moons.
National Biography:
Shalaam was settled by two colony ships from Earth - the Noach, an Israeli ship, and the Hejaz, a Jordanian ship. At first the two ships planned to ignore each other, but an Arab girl suggested they work together. They founded the Holy Republic of Shalaam. Fifteen years later, that girl, Fatimah Orain, was elected President (she's 20). Shortly after her inauguration, first contact was made with other nations.
~National Holidays~
All major Jewish and Muslim holy days. The Shalaaman calendar is tied to Al-Aqsa, which makes one revolution around Shalaam every 28 days, which forms a Shalaaman month. The months use the Jewish and Islamic names, depending on whether you're speaking Hebrew or Arabic.
Shalaaman Muslims and Jews tend to respect each other's holidays. On Yom Kippur, the whole nation shuts down. During Ramadan, many restaurants close during the day.
~Diplomatic Information~
No official foreign relations - yet!
~Economic Information~
