PROHT airlines starts research of new Commercial Airliner

Hurtful Thoughts

PROHT Air, being dissatisfied with the C-17s barrowed from the Army for the following reasons:

1> The C-17 had an ungainly operating cost
2> The C-17 was too big for most PROHT airports
3> The C-17 was too slow for express flights
4> During wartime the C-17s would be called up by the Army

PROHT air, after revewing a demonstration of PDE propulsion in Flightopia's Talon, decioded to develop a small jetliner based around the lines of a Learjet, a pair of hybrid PDE\Turbofans, and a delta wing and canard configuration.

The new plane is expected to be able to supercruise at approxamately Mach 1, with the unofficial goal of mach 2.

In the meantime, PROHT Air has procured a pair of F-104 starfighters to test PDE fittings and potential space travel training.

Resaults shall be posted.

Recently, after digging up some old german ducuments from the 1940s, and after reverse engineering a few turbines; PROHT Air has drawn the specs for the following aircraft:

PROHT heavy commercial transport:
HT-HCT
6 sets of contra rotating ‘tractor’ props mounted on large “Davis” wing.

Propulsion
Engines (in numerical order from left to right)
1,3 + 4,6 Turbine exhaust \ steam turbines (2,000+4,000 HP) 6,000

2 + 5 Gas turbines (direct drive) \ Exhaust from boilers (3,000+2,000 HP) 5,000

Powerplants:
2 Gas turbines (high octane fuel only) 3,000 HP each
1 High Pressure Boiler (runs on almost any fuel)
Steam Turbines: 4,000 HP each
Exhaust turbines: 2,000 HP each

Max speed: 430 mph
Range: Miles 10,000 miles
Payload: 100 tons
