OOC: Searching for a FT partner (Details in thread)

I'm looking for a good nation to RP with. Someone to add some conflict to my nation.

Preferrably someone with these kind of stats:

A large 1+ bil nation
A pretty high tech FT nation (Star wars tech or higher)
A good/decent RPer who likes to take things pretty slow and is dedicated.
A fairly good knowledge of their nation and what its like!

Anyone interested reply here!

Hey Jenrak o.O I haven't seen you around much.

What kind of stuff you have for RP (pre-made).

I'm also willing to help you our either by joining my FT nation (Eternal Empire) or by having enounter or war with you.

We're pretty good for you; a large, militaristic nation based on Wh40K Chaos. We are highly advanced, arrogant and progressive; we command a might naval fleet and legions of warriors, we have more information for you, here;

Tanthan has been out of it so long I am still isolationist, but I really need someone to stumble across it in an imperialist expansion or something. Or whatever you want. Need to get back into mainstream FT. ^-^

Oh ya...my year is now 3062 instead of 2400 when I was going last time. So I have been working hard on ship designs and types...for a long long time. If you want I can list some of the stuff I came up with.

SW tech is looong obsolete where I am. :D
I'm big on imperialist expansion, probably not as big as Chronos is, but still big on it.

I know my nation fairly well; I've got planetary descriptions, lots of ships, technical documents, etc. If we're talking character RP, (mostly, anyway, a bit of war is cool, but mainly focusing on the characters) I'm your man!
Tanthan
12-02-2006, 01:01
Jenrak: Sure I think we could do a good RP! ^-^
The Scandinvans: ya this is what I was going for, someone to test tech out on to!
Theao: You have a huge pop and are strong, whatever you want, your nation is intimidating though!
Chronosia: I don't know much about 40k at all so I dunno.

Anyone want to start an RP thread up? (I'll continue to check this)

Okay, some information on my FT stats:

It's not called Jenrak, it's called 'Exus-Hykrica', The name being Alchaic (the language of my FT equivalent) for 'The Electrical Hybrids'. It's a mix between Star Wars (as in Sith Lords look-alikes form the aristocrating, upper social scale). Lower down, you have three classes - The Slaved ('Elekix'), The Joint (I'll explain) and the Warlords (A group of Star Wars like legions that are lightsaber wielding, blaster firing fiends).

The Joint, another sector of the Exus, is a machine empire, started out as a programming error on one of the self manufacturing plants (my empire manufactures machiens entirely with droids - hence droids making droids), and they drain entire systems of their metals to only build up their insane numbers. Recently my empire has been settling on outskirts of known space, but they occassionally (and boldly) start killing off worlds and systems to feed their industrial hunger.

So my FT equivalent is almost opposite of my MT equivalent. Jenrak is conservative in its actions, watches and thinks things out (usually), but the Exus is extremely chaotic, and it leaves nothing but ravaged and burning worlds in its path for consumption.

If you'd like to fight a never-ending, constantly draining empire that sucks the life and resource out of everything, I'm your match.
Tanthan

Exus-Hykrica...wierd name XD

Any nation though that attacks would upset the Empress. The goddess/holy mother Kajanta predicted a long struggle (countless battles and deaths) for Tanthan when a large powerful enemy will suddenly invade their territory and attack without warning or justification.

---
Hyperspatial Travel: Hmm interesting, I have the same stuff for Tanthan of course, but Jenrak seems like a challenge and is within my tech range! He's passionate about his nation to!

Sorry for the double posting but I'd just like to let you know that unlike many FT players I do not play with Superly Powerful Weapons or any jacked up powers. I tend to be favour large armies and weak and light units more. So if we're going to ever RP together, expect me to say 'and lots of my guys were killed' - but not in that generic sense.

The Scandinvans: ya this is what I was going for, someone to test tech out on to! Anyone want to start an RP thread up? (I'll continue to check this)As for the thread do you want to have a little border where you attempt to settle on a planer within the Eternal Empire and out in response we have a nice little space battle:p where in the end a compromise is made.
Theao
12-02-2006, 01:14
And I'm the opposite of Jenrak, very few(My entire combat navy is only 1092 vessels), but high tech vessels/troops. Thought Theao isn't, generally anyways, given to killing for no reason, thought we do strip mine/destroy planets, which could very well be considered attacking.

The Scandinvans: We are isolationist so we don't expand anymore.
Theao: You'd be out numbered 300+ to 1 then by Tanthan's forces...I don't think you'd even want to mess with my forces. (No offense, but forced military conscription and training does wonders for a militartistic nation (even in peacetime))

Chronosia: Ah I see....some weird stuff, but I am just really bad at 40k stuff. I am not used to ground wars or anything. Strictly space for the most part. My old land attack tech is over 2000 years old from the last battles. I'd get my butt handed to me there...then that leaves space...which I'd destroy your land vehicles and armies. (Good stuff and interesting units, but lacking true space power (least from what I seen)) You'd excel in ground warfare, but I excel in space. ^-^

The Scandinvans: We are isolationist so we don't expand anymore.Alright, how about a dispute over a world that you have settled, but is claimed by the Eternal Empire long before you got there and you did not know about the orignal claim and the Eternals did not really act quickly about it.

Outgunned, generally
Outclassed, never

If it was under your claim for 3000 years (and you never visited) then sure! XD (Like I said we don't expand)

Edit for theao's post.
LOL Theao...great motto. Kinda a loser motto, but still funny. I dunno about you sometimes!

*Elaborate Bow*, it represent the view of my naval force, and while generally outnumbered/gunned, it's not quite valid as to the effectiveness of my vessels.

Okay I will start the thread, give me a little bit, I'll post it soon when I'm done posting in another thread. Give me around...oh...half an hour. Yes, I'm a slow typer.

What do you want it to be about?
Tanthan
12-02-2006, 02:16
Well about scouting out to a planet and finding something in the distance (which will be my planet. Just say you see a strange flag with a angel on one of the ships leaving the planet :o

Then I'll post.

Edit: Oh ya...keep the posts after main short and sweet...so we can interact as much (and fast) as possible for a good story, unless description is needed! ^-^

We have plenty of good Space Stuff; I could send you the PDF's; or link you to the websites; but the sites lack the really goodness of the Battlefleet Gothic PDF's, regardless; I prefer to RP ground battles anyway; Space tends to be tedious for me. Good luck!

Nvm...I am just out of practice I think. Your turn Jenrak. I can't persue for a small amount of time. My scout ships are unable to follow, your tech system is different.

They COULD follow you (maybe beat you) if they new where you were headed, but the ships can't detect FTL trails of energy at the scout level. Need a big hulking capital ship for that!
Tanthan

Did they leave hyperspace yet?
Jenrak

Did they leave hyperspace yet?

Yes, they have. Just to clarify things up, my scout ship has been tracking new routes for days, which is how they stumbled upon the planet, and the quickest and shortest route has been used to get there. Which is why they seem to get there so fast.

If you want me to slow down, I can if you want.

Sure...a time scale would be good cause you are invading the north very quickly....amass of troops, doesn't make much sense, but witha strong hit to the forces...would they fall back?
Jenrak
13-02-2006, 22:08
Sure, I'll edit it. My fleet won't back down, though. This is my entire offensive fleet, so if this fleet is crushed, my offensive power is crushed entirely. But whatever cost that'll have for this planet will be entirely worth it, since my guys could just suck that planet dry of all resources and rebuild the fleet using a planet's entire worth of resources (core and everything).

Tanthan

Just cleaning up the mess from the black hole....you can destroy a black hole with x-rays. It causes it to spit out everything it asborbed and then dissappear....least that's the theory on how a black hole is destroyed, by the asborbation of x-rays.
Jenrak
20-02-2006, 13:20
Isn't a black hole gravity condensed in on itself so powerfully that nothing can escaped it's grasp? How does fighting it off with x-rays help?

It eats away at the structure and reduces it to nothing. That's what it means. Check some Hawking stuff, I'm sure you'll find it.
