Arcturus Test System Shipyard
The scientists and military men of Project Arcturus Ascendant were buzzing around the advanced starship, making last-minute calculations and alterations to nonvital systems. Throughout the ship there was a feeling of tension about to be released. The effects would be spectacular. The launching of the prototype would be hyperwave broadcasted across several galaxies, thanks to the output of the small-scale Arcturus model. Eventually, the shipwide intercom could be heard:
Five minutes to generator activation. All crew members to their positions.
Four minutes later every single member of the crew was at their station. An eerie silence filled the ship, every crewman and scientist anticipating the possibilities.
Thirty seconds to activation.
Most of the crew was sweating. The high-quality video feed would show this.
Fifteen seconds.
The captain gripped the armrests of his chair, gritting his teeth.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
Activate generator.
At the core of the 800-metre long ship, a generator shielded by a miniature dimensional rift burst into life. If anyone had seen it, it would have seared the optical nerves from their skull. Across the ship, systems barely funtioning whilst powered by the ZPM of the shipyard now functioned at 120% of predicted efficiency whilst powered by the improved Arcturus generator. The virtual particles which doomed previous attempts were now funneled into other dimensions by the rift shielding, leaving the crew of the prototype safe.
The impressive ship shed the umbilicals of the shipyard, and slid gracefully away.
Shipyard, this is Arcturus Ascendant. We have a full output, 25 times the power generation of 25 Zero Point Modules at full output. This is a total success. Tell the scientists that we're infinitely glad for perfecting the shields!
This launch has been broadcast for the purpose of informing certain enemies of the Alteran race that we can no longer be surrounded and destroyed by vast fleets of ships. We now have the capability to destroy many times our number.

You can still be surrounded. A better reactor is not all you needed. If you could match our numbers you might have had a chance, but if you continue to anatgonise us, unpleasant thing are liable to occur.

The Arcturus generator is merely the system required to power the main weapon of the ship. Do not assume that you know everything from nothing but a propaganda broadcast, you arrogant pigs.
Tanthan recieved the message on their own systems, on the same frequency. Tanthan sent a message.
"Do not use this frequency, you are interrupting our commands to ships. Continued use of the Frequency 402XXX238 is an act of war.
P.S. Don't interfere in our space either..."

The Terrans broadcast the known locations of several Gate Builder outposts and ships, throughout the galaxy.(only those that I actually know about)
I believe that they are quite capable of finding you now.

[My people aren't ones to buy into the 'RAWWR!PHEAR ME!' attitudes of other races. Regardless, you could only triangulate the position of a shipyard on the far edges of a far-off galaxy.]

OOC: True, but I also know the location of several of your ships. That's the biggest threat in my transmission. And, once I talk to Waterhelper some more, I'll have the Addres to atlantis.
OOC: You forget...we have our own scanners and can see trails of ionic charges in space LONG after you left. We can track down and hunt ships if we know what energy they use for power. So your idea doesn't work >.>

OOC: I seem to remember something about being able to shoot through a Stargate. An episode where someone developed a weapon capable of going through the Iris... Now, I don't have anything like that, but I can just shoot until something breaks.

[Anubis (or Baal) used a particle beam to try and melt the iris. that can only work on a physical object used to block reintegration. The Alteran iris is an energy shield.]

A single colonial Raptor FTL'ed into the shipyard vacinity and docked with the prototype. A single woman left the ship before it took off and FTL'ed back to the fleet. Infact the woman was not actualy a human but the first of a series of prototype robotic Avatars for the colonial central computer system. This models Codename was Rommi(OOC: sorry couldn't resist the andromda tribute) and she had been assigned as the colonial representative aboard the prototype.
As she walked into the comand center of the ship one of the lower crew members tryed to "feel" her and imediatly recived a broken arm as a responce. Then walking up to the ship comander she simply said "Colonial Avatar Rommi reporting for duty" and saluted.

OOC: You can pinpoint transmissions...so yes I can find where the message came from. Just return to the location, pick up the trail and hunt down the ship... Also when you went interdimensional, you crossed into an Elven tech system.
Very few NS nations can utilize other dimensions to aid in transport (STL and FLT travel), but Tanthan uses phase-space to move ships over long distances. So ya...we can detect you and know your location of the transmission and hunt you down..

Arcturus Shipyard System
A subspace signal reached Arcturus Ascendant. New orders, straight formVis Uban.
You are to make your way to the system recently explored by Exploratory Craft 4. There you will attempt to capture a live Wraith specimen. You will keep it alive with clones for as long as possible. Your scientific crew have received encoded instructions as to what to do with it should you capture a Wraith. Proceed immediately. The colonial android on your ship will just have to watch.
The commander knew his job. The Arcturus Ascendant slid gracefully out of the system at full power, the prototype generator humming slightly.

Avatar Rommi was at the time sending a cognative message to her computerised counterpart on Peacekeeper.
"They seem to be after something called a "Wraith". I belive that the Admaril should be imformed and advised to give any form of assistance to the Alterrans"
Not long after wards the Arcturus recived the following transmission: "This is Admaril Thyco of the Peacekeeper, we have heard that you are atempting to capture some new creature called a Wraith, if the data is not classified could you please transmit information on this threat. Peacekeeper out"

Response from the High Council of Vis Uban and the Alteran Colony Worlds
The data on the Wraith is definately now classified. They are a race evolved to feed off human life. They are a hive-based species, relying on a Queen to co-ordinate the activities of each individual Hive Ship. How they evolved is unclear, but it is thought that they somehow may have evolved by feeding off humans, and gradually accumulating human DNA. Contact with them is not advised.
