China in a daring move has appealed the EU for a lift in weapons ban to China. This appeal right after the Chinese Premier came out of a very important and possibly historic conference with several high ranking Generals and memebers of the cabinet. Apparently during this meeting it was agreed upon to ask for the appeal to the EU and more drastic military agendas.

Shortly after the appeal was made to the EU a statement was released to the world media. The statement read: " Today we have agreed upon several different agendas. We have agreed to appeal to the EU for a lift of the weapons ban. We have also decided to start a 5 year plan. The idea is not for the economy but for the Military. We paln on acquiring more naval, air, and land technology to improve are current defensive potentioal."

OOC: Maybe get some kind of middle eastern pact started to respond to this. You already have a deal with UAE why not something with maybe Iraq too since they have a more Western friendly government after the invasion.

You said it somewhere else that wasn't secret I think...maybe not. Our spies have infiltrated Greece anyway. Try and find them! Just TRY! Also, it could be a general statement that coincindentally came at the same time.

not to stir anyone's feathers, but I sincerely doubt that Kim Jong Il would ever become a puppet of China - he has a hard time getting convinced to meet the USA in Beijing, he would no less enter into some pact with China, because it somewhat contradicts the juche [self-reliance] policy. The DPRK stressed self-reliance to indulgence almost, which makes China upset sometimes.

Furthermore, this EAP idea is a little far-fetched. Sure, the Arab states like China, but I don't think that they'd go for a mutual alliance with China, because they're in for the business too - they spent hundreds of years under the rule of the Ottomans and other foreign powers, and Iran has a most uncooperative stance with nations that want to become friendly [they're teetering between Russia offering to provide nuclear materials for nuclear power versus UN sanctions, and they would rather take the sanctions...].

And personally, this EAP sounds like an overly-extended attempt to assimilate the world into China's policy, which is not in any way Chinese - historically or modern. China is a non-expansionist state, meaning that they have not traditionally sought to expand their empire beyond the territory that has traditionally been Chinese [modern day China minus a few exceptions along its borders with India and Pakistan]. In fact, the most expansionist that the Chinese ever became was during the Tang Empire [7th century to 9th century], which conquered states all along the Silk Road to near present day Uzbekistan. For China to go out and assimilate these other states would be to following in the tradition of the "imperialist" powers, which China presently detests. What difference would this EAP be to the US making their invasion of Cuba [besides the fact that the USA actually invaded rather than politically assimilated...]?

I would further highly discourage Russia and China from uniting the EAP and the CIS, considering the CIS is a semi-formal forum for all states that were once autonomous republics of the USSR [of which Kurdistan was certainly not a member]. The CIS is a gentlemen's caucus for the USSR in the international community. And traditionally, China has detested Russian attempts to make them friends, since the conflicts with the Qing Empire in the 18th and 19th centuries to the Sino-Soviet border clashes during the 1960s and 1970s. China - like the DPRK - wanted to remain apart from the USSR international politburo, branding themselves their own variety of communism.

That's all my opinion - take it or leave it.

The Republic of France has been alarmed at the startling proposals by the People's Republic of China, and while noting with dismay at the sudden arrest of Premier Hu Jintao [ooc: it's either Chairman or Premier], we cannot help but notice how the PRC is actively pursuing a bloc of like-minded nations, notably among those nations to which the French Republic do not agree.

On that note, France has urged the EU to halt discussions on opening trade and military concessions to he PRC, pending a decision later to determine it would be right.

We sincerely hope that the best comes to Premier Hu, as his leadership in the PRC is acknowledged as a "great leap forward" for China.

We have disturbing news today. As of late yesterday a Chinese submarine has gone rogue and shutdown all ommunictaions systems. This submarine was on a routine patrol 2000 miles north of Honolulu. The last transmission puts it in the SE corner of the box. It was supposed to report yesterday and again today it failed to do so. We have confirmed that it is still running by confirmation from one of our satelites. The sattelite places it 200 miles SE of the patrol box.

This is a older nuclear submarine assigned to modernization after its return from its routine patrol. Now the bad news would be that this submarine is armed with older SERB class missile. We dont know why it was equipped with these and not the standard ones. EXCEPT for 1 major difference the SERB's do not contain a Fail-Safe. We will be uploading the submarines information shortly.
