Liberal Democrats

The might nation of Wardor has declared its creation of a new region for purely Liberal and Democratic nations. We stand as a bastion of liberalism and we aim to change and mould UN policy towards and to take away the divide between right and left on the political spectrum. All Liberal nations are urged to join us and destroy the mould of Nationstates politics.
Thank you.

I support this attempt to change the mould of nationstates politics and will, as a Liberal nation, immediately move to this region to show my support. I do have one question though, how are we going to really change UN policy as the votes are taken by thousands and it is impossible for one region to change a vote rapidly?

Well the thing is that i intend to gain a band of loyal nations around me that are commited to the principles of liberalism. Then from there we can begin to form new policies for the UN through proposals, and also lobby against regions who vote certain ways. From here therefore we can help to alter votes in favour of liberalism and so move our cause further forward.

Maybe I should quit the UN, and advise all Conservatives to do so as well...

OOC: and this will have 0 effect on non-UN nations, like me and all my puppets. while i'm left wing, political lobbying really gets on my nerves, and were i un, my next few votes would have just swung right-wards.

It can be worse...the UN is already very liberal as it is, and my whole region is Conservative.

Do I hear UN Boycott?
You do. As long as more conservatives come to the cause...

Yes the region is called Liberal Democrats and i apologise for placing this in the wrong forum. However i feel that while this region aims to promote liberalism through the UN, it is essentially a liberalist region and will welcome all liberal nations to its cause whether they are UN nations or not. A conservative boycott of the UN would surely make the balance even worst, so why not just remain part of the UN and work to increase your's and your allies involvement. We can change the mould of UN politics and nationstates politics in general by forming together and working to change policies to what we feel is right.
