The Lamehkenites:
People:
Name: Lamehkens
Race: Amphibious Humanoids
Total Population: 1.25 billion
Leader: No one specific leader. All decisions are past through the council of elders.
Personality/Behavior/Appearance: Aquatic vectors of your typical humans, though they lack human strength and speed while on land. A timid race as after first moving on to dry land found themselves fighting a vastly stronger but less intelligent population of Neanderthal like things, now known as hairies.
History: After defeating the hairies the Lamehkens went through a period of fast scientific expansion, know now as the great understanding. During this time the Lamehkens built wetsuits, which allowed them to preform laborious tasks on land comfortably, and soon colonised all available area on the sea floor. Now with no room for a rapidly increasing population the council has had no choice but to allow for a new colony to be founded no matter what lies beyond the surface of the planet.

Lamehk
Description: Lamehk is a small planet with very little landmasses. The ocean covers roughly eighty five percent of the total surface area. Various volcanic islands that have breached the surface make up the other fifteen- percent.
Importance: Lamehk is the Lamehkenites home planet. The many geothermic vents scattered along the oceans surface provide the main power supply as well as heating for the entire city. Due to its proximity to the solar systems sun, solar panels and farms float on the surface generating extra power and food.
The Lamehken Fleet:
Rhincodon: These are the largest vessels of the Lamehken fleet measuring a kilometre in length. They have the ability to carry large amounts of equipment either for the establishment of a colony or military activities. They are capable of both space and sea travel as their deep pressure hulls are perfict for travel in the vacuum of space.
The Rhincodon are modular craft and have to be customised before each launch. Modules include extra defensive weaponry or drop pods for troop and civilian deployment.
Sphyrna: The principle combat vessel of the Lamehken fleet. The lager hammer at the front of the vessel is a massive weapons platform. The Sphyrna also have a standard complement of troops. These too are capable of both space and sea travel as are all large Lamehken craft.
Carcharodon: This smaller version of the Sphyrna lacks the massive weapons platform though makes up for it in speed.
