The Kingdom of Astral Romia has officially opened embassies for nations of the universe. King Actir I and Prime Minister Montir Perdamon invite all nations to establish an embassy in Romia. The purpose of these embassies is to achieve peaceful and positive relations as well as to easily communicate each other’s needs, all in a safe environment.

Ambassadors are allowed to contact the Romian Ambassador and call for a conference at with an audience of the Romian Ambassador at any time. There are embassy buildings already built on Romia to use, but you may construct your own if your proposed design is reasonable in size and meets Romian environmental standards*. The embassies will be located on the capital world of Klaria I.

Here are some rules for embassies in Romia:

Only 10 armed security personnel allowed per embassy. The amount of non-security personnel allowed is unlimited.
An unlimited number of vehicles for transportation of the ambassador or other residents of the embassy is allowed provided that the vehicles are unarmed, of reasonable size, and meet the Romian environmental standards.
Romian officials are allowed to expel any residents of any embassy at any time.

Embassies are open to everyone. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to ask. We hope to see you here.

*Romian environmental standards, basically put, do not allow any emissions, or any pollution of the air, water, or soil.

Danet Coramal, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister, responds with a transmission:

Thank you for the offer. We are not currently in need of military assistance as we are not in any conflicts. It would be in our mutual interests to get to know each other better. I propose establishing embassies in each other's nations, as it would allow for faster and easier communication.

Greetings and Slutation Most Honorable Leader
I am Jack Ray, Fleet Admiral of The American Privateers. I wish to establish an Embassy in your capital City.

If permited, I shall build a small mansion there, with 5 Marines, a customized Hydrogen/Solar Powered Limosine, and 10 of my best diplomats.

Please let us know if these conditions are all right, we will change them if necessary.

Those conditions are perfectly acceptable. Your embassy is granted.

The ADC wishes to request an embassy within your state. The Ambassador will have only five armed marines with him, and only one 'puddle-jumper' shuttle will be used. We would like to enquire if the presence of an Astria Porta is a problem for your people.

"Your request is acceptable, although we must say we are not very familiar with Astria Porta technology. We will have to monitor its use if you will have one in your embassy."
The Gate Builders
14-02-2006, 21:58
The only way you can monitor it is with a direct video feed, or sensors pointing into the embassy to detect energy spikes.

"We will allow you to have an Astria Porta in your embassy as long as we can monitor it in the way which you explained. You may not use it to bring in security or military personel other than the 10 that you are allowed in your embassy. Are these terms acceptable?"
The Gate Builders
14-02-2006, 22:18
Such terms are perfectly acceptable. A transport (50m length, 15 width) will arrive with the Astria Porta and diplomatic staff.

Dear...

Esteemed Leader(s) of Romia____,
You moronic idiots, the XXXXXXXX,

Allow me to be the first to:

Congratulate you.__[X]
Laugh in your face.__[_]
Send you this lovely fruit basket.__[_]
Warn you of the impending destruction of your planet.__[_]

_Opening foreign relations with others will indeed prove to be a wise move for you. As it stands, I would like to officially propose a mutual exchange of embassies between both Gadget Corporation and Romia, with yours being located in the wonderful Headquarters of the company. Along with the exchange in embassies, we are also willing to converse on the idea of trade agreements, and would be happy to construct a Cargo Facility in a nearby sector or closer, for your convenience of course. ___________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________

A frigate deep in space picked up the transmission. Embassies were always a plus, and the Inferno needed as many allies as it could get right now, rocked as it was by civil war.

The small craft heeled about in the void, tearing itself free of the cage of realspace, steaming at a high rate towards the origin of the signal. It eminated benevolent signals, signals peace and understanding, of diplomacy, and most of all, of grace and power.

It tore back into realspace near what appeared to be a border, and fired off a powerful tightbeam hailing towards Klaria I.

Hail to The Kingdom of Astral Romia, rulers of this territory. This is the Explorer Frigate NES Dragoon, of the Galactic Inferno of No Endorse. We have recieved a message of peace from your land, one for an exchange of embassies.

We come to meet you, greet you, and to discuss this proposed Embassy program. We request permission to come to your capital and speak with a leader, so we may decide if we wish to start an embassy, trade, or even an alliance. We also come to discuss a larger ideal, an alliance known as the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, and to see if you would wish membership.

(OOC: Sorry for the late response, I forgot to check this thread.)

To Lyranar Vergii of GadgetCorp:

We will grant you the requested embassy in Romia. We would also like to accept your offer of an embassy in your Headquarters.

A Cargo Facility to initiate trade would be a wonderful idea. You may construct it outside the Klaria system, or further out in one of our colony systems if it would be more convenient for you.

Another message was sent to the NES Dragoon:

This is Alpha Command. You have been cleared and may dock at a planet or station.

Another message to the NES Dragoon:

Greetings. We are interested in your proposals. Prime Minister Montir Perdamon himself will meet with you in the capital of Seraphia. Directions for docking at the most convenient spot, the Koppen Space Port, are included with this transmission.

Thank you. We will proceed as you have indicated.

The Frigate proceeded to jump to hyperspace, spanning the great distance to the capital planet in the blink of an eye. Upon exiting, it bee-lined strait for the Koppen Space Port.

As the ship docked, a woman with an eye patch and flowing brown hair waited at the airlock. There was an odd mark on her face, as if it had been repaired from a major injury. Modern surgery was amazing, but the observant could still see the evidence. Beside her was a man, who's right foot rang metallic when he walked.

Both strode down the airlock corridor, approaching someone who appeared official. The woman spoke first, as she was actually in charge here. "I'm Captain Kelly Fisher of the NES Dragoon, No Endorse Explorer Fleet One. This is Communications Officer Joey Forrester. We were told to come here to meet with some government officials, where should we go from here?"

Excellent. I have already dispatched a newly-constructed Cargo Facility to be transported to the edge of the Flaria system. As there is currently no Pull-Gate in the area, we have equipped the Facility with several to make any and all travels in-between Romian and GadgetCorp space much more efficient and easy. Once the station is in place, a team will be sent onboard from the cruiser currently towing it through hyperspace, and the facility wil lbe functional. At that time, we will send the team to occupy the embassy, and you can send your choice of personell to occupy the structure in the Embassy District of Gadget Corporation Headquarters. Please expect the arrival of the station in four to eight hours. Thank you.

The Koppen Space Port was an open port; instead of finding a maze of corridors such as in a space station, a docking ship would open up to the outdoor area of the port. Larger ships or those that did not have landing gear could be accommodated by anti-gravity fields and extendable bridges.

The port was located in a valley between several hills in Seraphia. Beyond the port was the vast green landscape of trees that covered the capital, with sparsely placed buildings sticking up from the vegetation. Waiting to greet the delegates from No Endorse was Senator Com Flec.

“Good afternoon, Captain Fisher. I am Senator Com Flec. The prime minister could not be out here himself to greet you, but he will be ready for us when we arrive. If you will follow me.”

The senator started off across the stone ground of the port and into an area of arches and fountains. He went through one of the arches and down a path, where an enormous building quickly came in to view. It was the mansion of the Prime Minister. The building’s design was clearly inspired by classical architecture. It was composed of many columns and arches, with many statues, fountains, and gardens of flowers in the courtyard. After climbing a small number of steps and walking through a few rows of columns, they arrived at the massive oak doors, which opened up to reveal the main hall of the building.

The senator led the visitors through a few large halls of the mansion, which was decorated with giant oil paintings, columns, and gold. Eventually they arrived at a room with its doors held open. Prime Minister Montir Perdamon walked up from his desk in the room to meet the visitors from the door. Several people which the prime minister was meeting with could be seen peeking out to see the new arrivals.

“Welcome, I am Prime Minister Montir Perdamon. Welcome to Romia.”

Meanwhile, a transmission sent by the Diplomacy Department to Lyranar Vergii:

Thank you for this service. The future residents of our embassy in your nation are preparing to depart so that they will be ready when the Pull-Gate arrives. We will be sending an ambassador and his family, five men to assist the ambassador, and five guards.

The cruiser edged its way into the fringe of the Klaria system, towing the massive structure in its wake. If the Cargo Facility wasn't in space, it looked like it would be impossible to tow, even by battleship. In comparison to the cruiser, which was, by no means small, the station completely dwarfed it. And yet, strangely, it resembled an office building, complete with lot, and was entirely covered by a transluscent bubble of sorts.

The entire structure of the Cargo Facility sat on a kilometer-long, square platform. About three-fourths of that land was taken up purely by the building, which stood as a long, tall, rectangular structure, dotted with windows on every side in an orderly fashion. Unlike the rest of the station, however, it was made of pure limestone, glimmering in the light of the nearby stars. An inlaid doorway sat in the center of the building at platform-level, filled with two ornately-carved doors, cut from some unknown species of tree, and with the golden code "1799-AC8/47C" set into them.

The section of the platform left uncovered looked much like a street, complete with a dotted line going down the center that made it much resemble a landing strip, and there was even what looked like a hangar at the right end of the road. There was also a layer of grass in-between the "street" and the imposing wall of the building, dotted with palm trees that blended in nicely with the limestone structure. Several ripened coconuts hung from the leaves, ready to be picked by whoever operated the facility.

Once the structure was moved into place and the staff sent aboard, a one-way transmission was sent to the Romians and abruptly closed after.

The Cargo Facility has now been set up and fully staffed. The Pull-Gate is also operational and is ready for the transportation of the Romian Embassy Staff to Gadget Corporation Headquarters. With this message, we are also transmitting the coordinates where the facility may be found.

PS: Intergalactic Traffis entering and leaving the asteroid (that Gadget Corporation Headquarters is set on) may alter your arrival time by several minutes to half an hour.
