Estovakia
09-02-2006, 01:22
The Estovakian intelligence agent hovered over his computer, writing up a classified letter. The bureau needed help, third-party help. But they didn’t need just anybody. The person or people had to be some of the best at what they did. It would be a tough mission with few chances of error. One step could mean the difference between a $10 million USD unmarked and a sleep with the fishes.
The Letter read:
Message from Overseas Intelligence Bureau
Top Secret
To: Those to whom it may concern
Overview:
A painting and a statuette are going to be given to an enemy government by a diplomat, Lord Binkley, as a goodwill gesture. The importance of these objects is classified, however, it is vital that these pieces of art be retrieved and given to Estovakian agents. The enemy cannot be allowed to acquire the artwork.
The diplomat had decided to take a passenger cruise ship to tour three islands to make diplomatic visits before arriving to the enemy country, as well as to remain low key as compared to traveling by official government jet, which the enemy knows we can trace. This provides a perfect way to either board or escape the ship, since the ship stops at three ports along the way. One could either board the ships at one of these islands, or as well as at the home port. However, one must retrieve the art and escape before entering enemy waters.
This mission cannot be traced to Estovakia and thus this mission cannot be carried out by our own intelligence agents. The government has requested professional, third-party help to carry out the mission. The government has authorized a maximum bounty of $10 million (USD) as a reward on completion, as well as preference for future work. Of course, if captured, Estovakia will disavow any knowledge of said mission taking place.
1. Mission objectives:
(a) Infiltrate the cruise ship Lilac
(b) Retrieve the painting “On a Summer’s Day”
(c) Retrieve small gold statuette of Lord Binkley
(d) Escape with the objects and evade capture
(e) Give objects to Intelligence Agents after escaping ship
2. Parameters:
(a) Do not get captured
(b) Do not compromise identity or the secrecy of the mission
(c) Keep casualties to a minimum
(d) Do not kill Lord Binkley
3. Intelligence:
(a) Crewmembers
Intelligence states that the crew members are civilian and are most likely not to be armed. There is however, a small arms locker on board the ship, with semi-auto pistols and batons which the crew members may use if necessary. Discretion is necessary.
(b) Navy/Misc personnel
A small contingent of naval officers is accompanying the diplomat as representatives. They may have service handguns with them. The diplomat will have no less than 6 bodyguards and probably no more than 10. There may or may not be intelligence personnel as well to oversee the diplomat’s safety.
(c) Guards/Security
There are no guards per se of the artwork. However, the objectives are being kept in a state-of-the-art safe within the depths of the ship, only capable of being opened by keycards, which only the ship’s purser, ship’s captain, and diplomat can open. Any mess up will trigger an alarm. The safe is in an employee-accessible area only and will be tough getting in. Security cameras also litter important areas (ie the safe, bridge, engine room, etc.)
All one had to do was contact back. The agents would be waiting.
