The collective Scandinavian Union, minus Shcleswig-Holstein and ex-Russian territories(Petrograd/Murmansk) has voted on a new government. By a fairly large majority Carl Gustaf Emil von Mannerheim of Finland was elected the new Head of Government. He will not officially take office untill the end of January in 1946.

The Scandic military is being placed on alert. The airforce has begun moving aircraft to Jutland and the Danish islands while heavy bombers have begun positioning themselves in airbases in Skane. The reserves have been yet to be called up but they are put on warning to expect a call up at anytime.

The Syrian ambassador in Stockholm sends a very secret message to upper level Scandic policymakers.

If the Scandics can persuade the King of Saudi Arabia to step down, or at least bring in democratic reforms, similar to the Syrian system, peace could be created. Syria will withdraw from all embargoes, return all prisoners, and try to bring relations back to peacetime levels. We await a response.

The British Army would like to purchase Carl Gustav recoilless rifles (M2 version) for use as a squad based AT weapon. Is this acceptable to the SU government, Britain would consider allowing export of some items of military equipment to the SU in return.

Closed RP, go to main thread to sign up if you want. Besides, I doubt Russia will be on the warpath very soon, it was defeated very badly in the last war

The Scandic Union will allow the purchase of the rifles, although our relationship has been a bit rocky you have given us no reason to deny you.

All Scandic forces have been put on standby for immediate deployment. The navy, specifically the navy's ballistic arm, have quietly geared up with the subs quietly deploying out to sea. They are ordered to watch closely for any American or any other nationality vessel that may attempt to shadow them. Just as quietly, Special forces units have begun deploying oversea's in allied CSPS nations.

The Japanese would like to hold student exchange programs between our top schools to allow for better understanding of our cultures, and the possibility of wargames between the SU, Ukraine, Japan, and possibly Poland.
Edit- We would also like to purchase several units of ETU-95.

Student exchanges are a definite possibility, the oppurtunity to study in a land as rich as yours is a rare one. As for wargames, those would be hard to do with the great distances seperating our nations, but something could be worked out I am sure.

As for the ETU-95, how many are you thinking about purchasing? In regards to aircraft, we have been looking at buying several Mirage aircraft if thats a possibility?

We would like to purchase 2 ETU95 Aircraft Units. WE have several types of Mirage aircraft, which kind are you interested in?

Those aircraft can be sold next year. AS for our purchases, we've been looking at the Mirage V.

Also, we've noticed that Japan might become embroiled in the Middle East and we would like to offer our protection to Japanese troops in the Middle East. From Turkey, should problems arise, the CSPS could provide heavy support to Japanese troops across the Middle East.

We have several Mirage V's we would be willing to sell you to, how many do you want?

As for your proposal for the middle east, we would be grateful for your help if a problem should arrive, although we will probably keep our forces in the UIR unless something comes up

Grumbling begins to increase in intensity in the legislatures in the Scandic Union, Poland and the Ukraine. The Poles especially are worried about the possibility of the war going nuclear. The Ukrainians are worried about the fact that a sigificant portion of their country has been conquered, and Odessa is finally forced to surrender in December when food supplies are exhausted.

Not that they have any significant seaborne trade anymore anyway.
