Manhattan Prime Announces Official Changes
As the nation’s population fast approaches the 2 billion mark, the government of Manhattan Prime feel the time is right to partially throw off the links to the Homeworld, and drop the ‘Imperial Colony’ from the country’s official title.
In recognition of Manhattan Prime’s status as a nation in its own right, the state now wishes to be known as ‘The Imperial Republic of Manhattan Prime’. The nod to our Imperial roots is still maintained, but the new title clearly shows our position as a wholly independent nation.
Rather than continuing the share the flag and insignia of the colonist nations, top Manhattan designers have been come up with several new designs, which are intended to be both simple, and stylish.

The 8 points of the star represent the 8 smaller nations that sent colony ships to found Manhattan Prime (England, Canada, Spain, Germany, Norway, China, Japan and Australia). The large gold star in the middle is the main colonist nation, the United States, from which we draw a lot of our legal and governmental system.
This move will not affect any government positions, nor our political system and tradition of free and fair elections.
