On the main road in downtown Xharnia, The Black government issued Limousine was driving on so the two occupants in the car could talk in private away from the prying ears of the Royal Government..


The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein the Head of the Royal Xharnian Elite Guard sat across from the X.R.I.C. Commander Daniel Leer, The infamous head of X.R.I.C. Bureau number 0002. The Driver had the soundproof glass up and X.R.I.C. agents had checked to make sure the Limo was not bugged. The two men were talking in complete secrecy.


"Thank you for meeting me on such short notice." Said X.R.I.C. Commander Daniel Leer.

The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein responds, "You did not give me much choice Daniel. If I may inquire why have you bothered to set up such a secret meeting?"

Commander Leer smiles and replies slowly, "Victor, You have noticed that our current King Carl Von Ericson is showing signs of irrationality. He has brought the wraith of Novacom down on our heads and he has done nothing to suppress the Communist insurgency in the North of Kado Province."

The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein responds, "The King is under a lot of stress thanks to the Novacom problem. I know it seems like were suffering for it but the Dark Sun will see us through the hard fight."

Commander Leer responds, "Victor, You know that the Dark Sun is just a state run religion used to keep the monarchy in power. The Dark Sun would not really care if we win or lose provided he exists at all. Victor, Look out before you our nation is collapsing several Provincial Capitals have fallen to Novacom's advance forces. Yes I admit we have done a decent job holding the vast landing force from landing on mainland Xharn but that will change once they begin to out maneuver our forces. I am going to speak bluntly here Victor.

The time to remove the false King is now! The National Liberation Army of Xharn has control of Western Xharn and they will liberate Xharn from the Communists threat to the North. They will even protect the Dark Sun religion from being destroyed by the Communists and the Imperialist Novacom Government. Of course they will try to renew peace talks with them first. The Grand National Unity Party will have to discuss their position before they agree to anything Novacom offers for a cease-fire. Yes, Victor I know that is a sign of weakness in the International Community but if we do not make some sort of agreement we could find our selves occupied and in shambles. We could be like Germany after World War one people starving in the streets and Communism running rampant. Our business ruined and the Jews and other Heathen religions profiting off our misfortune."



The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein looked down and thought about the brutal message of betrayal to the very United Holy Kingdom he swore to protect with his last breath.


Daniel's message however was not finished, "Victor, You know Communism prevails when the situation looks hopeless to the common people. I propose that we strike now while we have a decent military to relay on. Otherwise the National Movement is going to have to fight an endless war for control of Xharn against an even more powerful Communist paramilitary group."

The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein replies, "We must do something but what you propose is treason the Government if we are caught we will be executed. There will be no way to stop the hopeless situation then."


Daniel Leer responds, "Here is what I propose. The majority of X.R.I.C.'s agents are in the Grand National Unity Party's Pay roll. I suggest you use your Xharnian Royal Elite Guard first Army to begin purging the Foreign and corrupting elements of our society in this city. Once you have control of the City announce that you have hereby annex all of Xharn to the Grand National Union of Xharn."

X.R.I.C. Commander Daniel Leer pulls up a black suitcase and adds, "This is a list of names of X.R.I.C. contacts and names of people and places that need to be purged. I shall give it to you as soon as you agree to defend Xharn from the Foreigners and the heathens that threaten our noble fatherland."

The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein after several minutes' replies, "I agree that action must be taken. I will order the Guardsmen of the City to begin the purge. I will then announce the creation of the new Xharnian Government."

The X.R.I.C. Commander smiled and said, "You are indeed a noble patriot to our Fatherland. Long live our great nation and our new nationalist government."

After that brief exchange Daniel hands the suitcase over to Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein.

In this suitcase contained a large list of X.R.I.C. intelligence reports including the names of the Royal family and countless names of suspected Communists, Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Buddhist along with information of their homes, occupations, and businesses.


The Black Limo drove on towards the X.R.I.C. Command Complex with orders to drop of X.R.I.C. Commander Daniel Leer.

Xharnia, Three days after that eventful meeting....


The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein was reading the list of people that had to be dealt with. The names were well into the thousands with information on their religion, political ideology and where they lived and worked.

The lead officers of the first Xharnian Elite Guard Army were ordered to meet Grand Field Marshal Victor for their orders for the attempted coup against the Royal government and the purging of the dissidents and Foreigners.

The Colonels, Majors, and Captains all looked at their leader. They knew about the plan but they had to eliminate suspected officers that were loyal to the current government first. That meant a quick internal purge before the main operation.

Some of the Officers did not know that their leader was going to betray them at this meeting...


The Grand Field Marshal looked upon all those around and said, "It has come to my attention some of you have plotted against the Government. I am here to have you dealt with by standard military law, however do to your positions of being in the Royal Elite Guard. I have to just execute you rather than having our government go through another long and embarrassing military court marshal for treason."


The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein raised his right and made a waving motion.

Twenty Xharnian Elite Royal Guardsmen come in and grab the five officers that were too loyal to be bribed or blackmailed into betraying the current regime. The surprise on the faces was amazing as they were dragged out towards the firing squad that had already been set up to eliminate them.


The Grand Field Marshal watched the whole ordeal and until the last officer was forced out of the compound and the door was closed.

Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein finally said, "It is time to begin operation Recreation of the Night of One Thousand Knives. You all have your orders and are ready for the operation. The Operation will begin at midnight."

The Officers all reply, "Sir, Yes Sir!"

The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein gave his speech, "Remember men that we have to defend Xharn from these malign Foreigners and their corrupt influences and their heathen religions as well as the false King who dared to murder King Azure III. I trust all of you will defend Xharn to your utmost ability."

The Officers had a look of pure nationalistic pride. They all reply, "We shall achieve our objectives or die trying."

The Grand Field Marshal smiled as these men replied the same sacred oath they always ritually said when going into combat.

The Grand Field Marshal Victor Von Carstein finally after several seconds of looking over his men said, "Dismiss."

The Officers salute and leave the Compound to their designated posts.

Midnight of that day...


The Xharnian Royal Elite Guard 1st Army had been covertly preparing for the strike time. The Senior and Junior Officers had all set their watches for midnight and as soon as the large hand struck 12:00 A.M. The Xharnian Royal Elite Guard 1st Army showed it's true colors.


The Xharnian Royal Elite Infantry forces all 200,000 of them had effectively begun to surround Xharnia. The orders they received they were to surround the city and arrest or kill anyone on the wanted list that tried to escape the city from the Union's justice.


The Armored Divisions were ordered to send 5 Armored Brigades into main street Xharnia proper with an escort force of 10,000 Infantry men and assorted Troop Transport trucks and APC's They would be tasked with hunting down and neutralizing the "Enemies of the Union" that were easily accessible.

The X.R.I.C. forces under X.R.I.C. Commander Daniel Leer would begin hunting down the more difficult targets namely King Carl Von Ericson's family, powerful loyalist nobles and Foreign owned businesses that had to be seized and Nationalized directly to the Grand National Union of Xharn.

Western City of Rova, Temporary Capital of the Union.


The Grand National Unity Party was debriefing over the covert coup that would make the Grand National Union of Xharn become the rightful government of Xharn.

The General-Chairman of the Party Marius Rackham stood from his chair and said, "My friends and brothers in arms, The time has come to defeat the illegitimate regime of false King Carl Von Ericson."

The Powerful Businessmen and other associated members began to talk amongst themselves. The General-Chairman let them talk amongst themselves for a few seconds until he finally waved his hand the traditional address that he was going to speak to them again.

The General-Chairman cleared his throat and added more comments, "The false King has brought nothing but ruin and tyranny down upon us. He has murdered many pure Xharnian people with the use of oppressive military tactics. The worst crime however is his leniency of allowing foreign religions inside of Xharn and by not sending more troops to crush the red revolution that is growing in Kado Province. I beg you my fellow Nationalists to throw in your support in this coup and together we shall get rid off foreign influences and heathen religions!"


The Party members stood up and applauded the General-Chairman's speech. It was inspiring to hear such a critical speech against the tyrannical and evil Von Ericson regime.


The General-Chairman then added, " As you all know we have managed to persuade much of the organization known as X.R.I.C. on our side many of them are members of the party." The Chairman pointed directly at Baroness Alice Rose who smiled back at him.

The Chairman then goes on, "The Coup has already begun. Even as I speak the Noble Defenders of the Nationalist State and the All-powerful Dark Sun have begun to purge the capital of all evil and corrupt influences. I would like to ask you my brethren to take this matter to the heads of our organization to ask them to send their mighty and noble armies towards Eastern Xharn with the orders to begin defending Xharn from the Novan invasion which has devastated the Eastern coast."

The members begin to immediately discuss the situation, Some wanted to make a peace agreement others were demanding that the Nationalist Forces begin to mobilize against the Novan menace once and for all. The debate lasted roughly four hours but in the end it was agreed. The National Liberation Army would send a plea to the National Military Central Command to send their forces towards Eastern Xharn with orders to defend Xharn's interior provinces should peace talks fail..

Xharnia


The sound of thousands of boots marching across Main Street. The sound of the machine tracks of the Armored brigades could also be heard almost drowning out the noise of the marching and running infantry men that were systemically spreading out in different districts of the city.


The Xharnian Royal Elite Guardsmen began to look for the dissidents they were sent to find. The Platoons divided into squads of ten that started to hit building that were targeted for search and seizure.


The Squads would kick in the front door and charge in with their M-16A2 rifles drawn and ready. They would then demand that their assign target surrender to face charges for whatever crime he was accused of.

The ones that surrendered were cuffed and dragged out of their homes or their places of occupation. The soldiers then put the prisoners into their transport trucks with orders to send them to Rova with orders for them to stand trial for their crimes against the Grand National Union of Xharn.


The people that tried to resist their immediate arrest were shot and killed on sight. The local Christian churches, Islamic Mosques, and Jewish Synagogues, and Buddhist temples were raided and were ordered to be demolished for their heathen belief corrupting the pure people of Xharn. The Pastors, Priests, Rabbis, and Buddhist monks were immediately executed with out trial. The soldiers came in and put two shots in their head wherever they found them.

The Bibles, Koran's, and other religious works were immediately taken to be burned to save this city and country from the unholy contamination and corruption. The Grand National Union would only allow the Dark Sun religion inside of Xharn.

X.R.I.C.'s targets

The X.R.I.C. Commando teams in their black hawk helicopters begin to deploy on the rooftops of the large scale Businesses. The Xharnian Business men had for years wanted to expand their corporate hold on Xharn and one of the plans was to get rid of foreign owned and invested corporations in Xharn.


The Commandos land on top and begin to move in, They start by opening the roof top doors and heading down the flight of stairs. Their targets would be for the security centers of the corporate buildings. Once they took those they would begin to kill or capture any high-ranking officials or hidden bank account numbers. The Grand National Union of Xharn would need all the money they could get for the process of repairs.


HIVE

The Xharnian Royal High Command was several miles under ground with the King they were discussing about their plans. However it was a very short conversation.

The X.R.I.C. Elite Enforcer agents lead by X.R.I.C. Commander Daniel Leer entered into the room. They were all armed and guns were drawn. The two bodyguards behind the King were shot and killed before they could even draw out their rifles.

The Enforcers point their silenced submachine guns upon the Xharnian High Command.

King Carl Von Ericson was not content to be quiet and said, "What are you doing? Is this some sort of revolution or betrayal?"

The X.R.I.C. Commander Daniel Leer responded coldly behind his black sunglasses, "This your execution your highness because of your treason against the State and people of Xharn. The Grand National Union has judged you to be a false king and has sentence their judgement. I am now your executioner."

After that quick speech the Enforcers open fire killing all the members in the Xharnian Royal High Command.
