The great harbors of Valdra were teeming with the tall and mighty ships of Valgard had been gathered in order for them to ferry the armies of Valgard to conquer new lands. As the emperor examining his soldiers as they entered the ships thought of the great wealth and slaves they would retrieve from the new lands. After the men were finished boarding the ships the emperor said into a voice projection device that had been created by Valgardian craftsmen,” Warriors of the empire you go now to foreign soils to spill the blood of those who would dare oppose, but remember that this is war of conquest justified by the needs of our great people. Now go now to war and unto the world’s ending!”

Upon him finishing saying this the great armada embarked composed of six great fleets bound for a separate destination. The fleets were of different sizes because of the need of soldiers that were needed to conquer the different lands that they were being sent to.

The Normans will never surrender to the Valgards! We shall defend our land with any weapon or person at our desposal.

OOC: Will you be rping the defense of Normandy, England, or both becuase if you I will not how to better rp the invasion of your lands.

The fleets of Iron and of the Wrath of the Gods were the first to land their troops respectively first in England then in Normandy. Quickly the soldiers poured out of their great ships and secured an area of a few square miles around the landing areas. In their secured areas they began to build fortified camps and as well they began to take the first slaves. Further out of the camps scouts were dispatched in order to monitor enemy soldier movements and also they began to make detailed maps in order that they could navigate the lands and prevent themselves from losing track of their position.

OOC: I just want to be the Normans. So that means pretty much Normandy. If something happens like we are doing really bad, then we might go to England and I'll RP the defense of them but for right now just Normandy. Also what time period is this?

William II the son of the great Conqueror, had not had the success of his father in war. He had launched an unsuccessful invasion of neighboring Brittany and had been turned back when he tried to conquer Wales. Now he had to turn his mind not to attacking but defending his country. He had his army ready and was recruiting troops as fast as he could. William hoped to have his full army ready in one week, then he would defend his lands.

The armies of Valgard upon gaining the information they wanted started to advanced forward using sheer size and skill of its soldiers to overwhelm all armed resistance offered by the barbarian locals. As well they kept sending scout parties in order to keep their maps updated to the changes of in terrain. Their kept their main army together save for the men they had decided to keep at the fort in order to guard their foothold. When the army was marching they kept up a organized formation and keeping sounding their horns and playing their drums.
