Far outside the atmosphere of Earth, several dozen sleek ships had been assembled in close proximity to the moon. The majority of the Tocrowkian fleet has been assembled. On Earth, and upon the dozens of colonial worlds, billions of Tocrowkian citizens watched and listened...

The Announcement of the formation of the Interstellar Reich of Tocrowkia:

To the citizens of Tocrowkia, rather on Terra or one of our colonies light years away, Today is the dawn of a new age in Tocrowkian history. For decades, we have been forced to watch with envious eyes as other nations rolled across the stars, claiming vast empires for them selves.

And while we have had colonies for a number of years, there was no majesty to this interstellar empire. But today, that will change. We now have the space-going Navy to both protect and expand our terrorizes.

If other space-fairing nations our curious about our goals, we will announce them right now, plainly and simply. We can, and will establish hegemony in the systems under our control. We seek develop the economic and military means to defeat any other state that challenges.

Foreign nations should not take this as a threat, how ever. We simply wish to carve out an existence for the Tocrowkian people, now and forever, both on Terra, and through out the universe.

This is ash of house winters. on behalf of all the Houses Of Gelfland, I welcome you to the interstellar community. My apologies for any inconveinence my arrival may have caused, but it is our belif that in potentially sensitive situations such as these, long-range transmissions are not the best way to communicate.

The Alpha Command computers on Klaria V were made with the intention on sifting through non-Romian transmissions. Today, the computers found a word that they had been specially programmed to look for and to give top priority to any transmissions containing that word. That word was “Terra.”

A senator by the name of Erbor Goldwin entered Prime Minister Montir Perdamon’s office.

“You should’ve made an appointment, Erbor,” said the Prime Minister. “I am busy now. You can always make an appointment by accessing my droid’s calendar.”

“I am aware of that, but I think you would want to know this,” said the senator. “We have found Terra.”

The Prime Minister stopped. His response was so quick that it was almost as if it was an instinct. “You found what?”

“Terra. I have received a transmission that contains the word ‘Terra’.” The senator anticipated the Prime Minister’s response and added, “It is used in the correct context. I believe we finally found a people who know the location of our ancestral home.”

The senator played back the Tocrowkian transmission. The Prime Minister’s reaction was a mix of euphoria and terror. After over a thousand years, have we finally found it? We cannot immediately release this information to the general public unless we want a mass migration.

“How wonderful it is to have Terra discovered during your term in office,” said the Prime Minister. “I will contact these people. Until we know the state of this planet, we must not release this information to the public.”

The Prime Minister sent this transmission to the Tocrowkian authorities:

Wonderful leaders of Tocrowkia, I, Prime Minister Montir Perdamon of the Kingdom of Astral Romia, send this message in response to your declaration. We are interested in a planet that you claim to inhabit, known as Terra.

We Romians left Terra to escape persecution an indeterminable amount of time ago. We were trapped by the pursuing fleets and forced into a wormhole which sent us to an unknown time. Therefore, we have not been able to find the location of Terra. If you indeed inhabit this planet, we must know of its condition.

Since there are many questions that I wish to ask, I shall ask only the most important of questions as to not overwhelm you. Firstly, what is physical and governmental state of Terra? Secondly, what is the regime in charge of the planet? And finally, is it safe to send explorers of ours to Terra?

I thank you for alerting us to the existence of Terra. It is a sacred topic to our people, one too horrifying for casual discussion, yet too important to ever forget.

Lastly, I would like to welcome your nation. If Terra does indeed exist as you claim it does, then we will certainly get to know each other better.

I wish for our two nations to be the best of friends in this crucial time.

1)Terra's environment varies. Some nations have completely destroyed their environment for the sake of economic development, others have preserved their environment. We are part of the later.

2)Terra is extremely fractured Governmentally speaking. Thousands of nations exist, with no one regime.

3)Due to the above, we cannot guarantee the safety of your explorers. We can ensure, how ever, their safety within our borders.

Most certainly! Coordinates and other travel information is attached, we eagerly await your arrival and the commencing of a new friendship between our two peoples. If time allows, I hope that cultural exchange may also take place, but that is your prerogative.

Prime Minister Montir Perdamon analyzed the Tocrowkian response. Apparently this is not the Terra of our time. Whether it is before or after our time I can not be sure. We will keep this from our people for now. Terra sounds unsafe, as it always has been to outsiders.

The Prime Minister prepared another transmission for the Tocrowkians. It stated:

To the honorable Tocrowkian officials, I thank you. Terra is not ready for us Romians to return. The information you have provided means a lot to us. We wish that our two peoples could be mutual partners. Perhaps an alliance is in order? If you think that I am too quick on the draw, I understand. ooc: "Snooty and off-topic, you are," says Yoda. Even with a powerhouse economy, a 104 million population can't sustain what is necessary for over 50 SDs. If you can purchase that many and have funds left over for maintenance and your own fleet (which, I assume, is bigger that what you casually give away) as well as other branches of military, the storefront is unrealistic (i.e. you're buying tinfoil origami). Such a thing isn't possible. This is the last I will speak on the issue, so as not to hijack another nation's intro thread.
