"Today a series of explosions rocked the imperial provinces of Yemen, Ethiopia, Sudan, Northern Congo, Central Africa, Ganda, Senegal, Gambia and Madagascar. Government sources tell us that rebels from local militias have joined their local militaries to form a large rebellion army. Current reports suggest that the dispersed militia army numbers at around 55,000 strong. Last night the army struck at over two dozen military fortifications and bases. Local militia still loyal to the empire fought vilanetly to maintain their positions, but in the cities of Goba, Aseb, Gulu, and Bumba the rebels were successful in capturing several large stores of advance weaponry.

In response to these attacks Emperor Jon Takenski has called upon the might of the Ninjanian Air Force, Navy, and Army to track down and eradicate the rebellion. He has called for a full mobilization of all forces to find and hunt down the rebels. In a press conference earlier today the emperor has called the rebels "cowards" that fight only at night when their faces can't be seen.

Earlier today army investigators were at the sight of rebel attacks to find as much information as possible. Leading Army investigator Oliver Reen has said that the clues they have gathered have been promising and have claimed that due to the ammunition, weapons, and tactics used he is confident that the attacks in the Central African province was from the Hali tribe. He has also said that he fairly confident that the attacks in Madagascar were due to the Tamba Tribe, one of the most isolationist tribes in the empire. Stay tuned for the 6 o'clock report coming within the hour for more news.

"Earlier tonight a large force of Ninjanian army units have pushed fleeing rebel squadrons up against the borders in Central Africa, North Congo, Ethiopia, Sudan and Ganda. More forces of the military have been activated to combat the growing amount of rebels suspected to be combatting our military. A recent update has put the numbers now around 100,000 strong. Though they can not be confirmed, Ninjanian military command said earlier today that this number is likely.

Ninjanian military command has yet to allow media into the combat zone, fearing for the kidnapping of reporters. Thus far a short two minute video clip showing a local militia patrol combat rebels in the jungles of an undisclosed location has been released. The video shows a series of rebels being shot, and numerous militia soldiers being wounded and killed.

As a stream of nationalism sweeps the country with support against the rebellion thousands of men and women line up the streets waiting in line to get to the recruiting offices. The emperor has said that he is proud to call him self a Ninjanian after the public display of love for the country the people have displayed. More information about the rebellion will be coming in within the hour."

The 15 kilometer DMZ line was quiet. Nothing stirred on either side as the warm, Caribbean weather, most notebly the breezes, swept over the island. Naval and air force units were quiet, army units were asleep, and the night was turning out to be just another day staring across the line. However, things were different, in a way. The revolution in the African parts of the Ninjan Empire was something of concern. If loyalists stationed in Cuba wanted to really overthrown the government, they would attack the Empire across the lines, causing an immediate retaliation. The Emperor knew this would be a possibility and had announced his support for the Ninjan government, regardless of the outcome. He knew that the state of affairs between the Ninjans and the Empire was good, solid, and stable. He did not know what any change would bring, if any, and he didn't want to risk that, especially not with things going so sorely throughout the rest of the world.

Reconnaissance patrols and flights kept up a constant watch on the DMZ and the Caribbean. Shipping was tracked in and out, destinations logged, behavior observed. If anything was coming in or out of the Caribbean that could threaten the status quo, it would surely be prevented, immediately. In light of this, Comhghall patrol boats in the Caribbean went on more definitive searches. Shield submarines kept a vigiliant watch over the SONAR. Excaliburs and LRAACA aircraft watched the surface and fighters covered the air.

"All across the empire rumors of rebellion have spurred up the entire Ninjanian military into full gear. Due to the aggressivness of the military's pursue the rebels have yet been able to launch another attack on major military targets. Thousands of artillery, tanks, helicopters, and aircraft were seen moving to the front lines were the infantry was battling rebels along the borders of Sudan, Central Africa, Northern Congo, and Ganda. Reporters near the front lines have reported substantial imperial artillery fire onto rebel positions. Current estimates put rebel casualties at 55%.

Rebel skirmishes in Madagascar have prompted the formation of a naval task force, whose mission is to assist in the destruction of rebel forces in Madagascar. As we speak naval and army units in Senegal prepare for departure. The fighting in Madagascar left eleven militia guards dead, and seven more injured. A swift army and naval response soon came resulting in the utter destruction of several rebel strongholds. Fleets in Madagascar have been reported to be deploying as a show of force to the rebel leaders.

In a tragic turn of events news reporter Monica Svleston, affiliated with Jersons News Network, was killed earlier today as her armoured vehicle came too close to the combat lines. At a press conference General Thomas Addai said that her vehicle was well beyond the green zone, and was hit by an advanced rocket propelled grenade used by the rebels. Her camera man and producer have also been reported killed.

In Camaguey Cuba an attempt to incite a rebellion in Cuba was foiled as Ninjanian special forces stormed over a dozen houses overnight and killed thirty five rebel fighters. Stores of RPGs, Grenades, Improvised explosive devices and rifles were found in the basements of every house. The local government in Cuba has urged that every citizen report any suspicious behavior.

"Today Coast Guard units in Madagascar came under fire from speed boats bearing advanced armoured piercing weapons. A three strong corvette coast guard formation came under fire during the early morning. One corvette was severly damaged by a missile which pierced it's hull and hit the engine room. Military specialists that have investigated the incident have said that the weapon used in this attack is not currently in service or being stockpiled by the military. Current speculation is that the firearms were acquired through the blackmarket. Needless to say the firearm is extremely dangerous and could damage the control towers of destroyers, frigates, and could sink smaller vessels in service in the navy. Due to this attack the fleet currently en route to Madgascar was stopped, and were told to wait for further naval vessels. The large fleet now consists of over 750 vessels. When asked whether this was an overkill in manpower the emperor said that "the protection of members in our armed services are my top priority in this conflict. Ever time I read of a soldier being killed it saddens me."

Meanwhile conflict along the Ninjanian borders have resulted in an estimated 15,000 rebel deaths. Constant bombardment and ariel attacks have destroyed the morale of the rebel fighters. Despite the numerous soldiers already deployed to fight even more have enterred the battle zone. To my perspective it seems like the military wants to utterly destroy the rebellion and give an example to all those underground rebellions that if they attempt to go public they will be annihilated.

As of just over two hours ago the entire Ninjanian military is now fully on guard. The large military presence was needed in order to ensure that if a rebellion strike occurs anywhere in the empire, our military can respond quickly and efficiently. As of yet only minor rebel skirmishes have occured outside the main battle lines. More news on this topic will come at the top of the hour."

Wary of the possibility of these pirate gunboats making their way into the Caribbean and harassing shipping, the Empire will be increasing patrols. The Imperial Layartebian Defense Forces will be acting in the best interest of the Empire while protecting civilian shipping as well. The Empire extends its help to the Ninjan Empire and requests that should it require our assistance to prevent this problem from causing instability within the Ninjan Empire, especially in Cuba, that they please ask.

Western Border/ Central African Province
Captain Zamu Alliah was a young commander. His group of twenty eight militia soldiers were on a routine patrol in the western flank of the front lines. The battle had been raging for days now. Indeed the rebels were getting pummeled into obilivion with the artillery, helicopters, and aircraft but yet they still remain strong in their cause. Alliah supposed you had to respect that in people. Maintaining their cause no matter the hardships they endure. The army had been bringing more and more soldiers, tanks, and military assets into the area. Despite what the media reported Alliah guessed that the rebel numbers are much greater than anticipated. He had overheard one of the generals saying how similiar resistance was being received all along the empire's borders. Some even suspected that other rebels on the other side of the borders were supplying the others.

As the patrol walked through the jungle the captain heard a noise that made him stop. The others stopped as well, raising their rifles. Alliah continued listening, nothing. He motioned them to continue. As the patrol walked through a clearing with thick bushes on the sides an explosion rang out. A fragmentation explosion exploded in the middle of the column killing five soldiers, wounding eight and spreading panic throughout the ranks. Alliah regained his composure, and threw several grenades into the thick brush before ducking. His soldiers training went into affect now as they lined up along the trees. The rebels rifle fire was deadly accurate. From the sounds that Alliah heard the rebels had two automatic riflemen pinning down his unit, riflemen then just waited for a soldier to pop his head out and fire. The captain threw his three smoke grenades and ordered his men to throw their grenades. Following the numerous explosions the captain ordered his soldiers foward.

Alliah would immediately regret this order. As soon as the soldiers stepped from the smoke, rifles raised their bodies were peppered with rifle fire. It seemed like the gun shot came from everywhere. Alliah himself was shot five times in the chest. His rifle continued firing on automatic fire towards the enemy until he felt he could no long stand. He slowly tumbled to the ground, grunting. His fingers fumbled awkwardly for his pistol. If he was going to die here he was going to die in a fight. Just as he felt he would soon give out a loud series of explosions shook the ground around him. Following the explosions was yelling, footsteps, and rifle fire. The captain felt himself being dragged away. Then he fell unconscious.

Captain Zamu Alliah woke up in the hospital, sore all over and bandaged all over his chest. As he looked around the hospital room he notices a manilla folder on a chair next to his bed. He opens it and finds a medal and a piece of paper declaring him a Major now. He placed the items back in the folder and fell back asleep, he could have cared less.
