Well, a new earth is fine but how about a NEW GALAXY? Its like hundreds of New Earths put together creating alliences between planets, Diffrent types of planets with different political systems, different enviroments and technologies. The system that this thread will use will be based on regions.
These Regions will be planets and I will compile a list of Regions (groups of planets) in this Galaxy You can ally your region with different regions to create Vast empires.
I will start this thread off with one Region (mine) also create a back story for your Empire, Federation, Socialist Republic or whatever. The general story for this Thread is-
It is the year 2698- In the year 2340 earth was engulfed in nuclear hell fire as the 4th world war drew to a close. Before the war hundreds of nations launched sleeper ships into space to colonize different planets. Since then humanity has regained its identity and is communicating and traveling across the milky way. There are also several other races coexisting with humanity (yes you can make up races!) and The Galaxy is now a lot like what humans in the 21st century watched on Sci-Fi. Human beings have also split into a couple of subspecies through genetic manipulation and cybernetic augmentation. Most of humanity however is pure and human. There are hundreds of technologic advances since Humans have left on earth so be creative!

The Federation of Anubis Sokar
The nation that acheived victory in the 4th world war and assimilated the planets remaining nations. Anubis the nations leader immortalized himself by transplating his mind into a prosthetic body. However he found it highly inefficient. His next step was too ascend into a being of pure energy. Using advanced technology and hundereds of billions of Anubian Dollars worth of research he did this. Anubis became a God.
After this Anubis turned his eyes toward the stars, already having colonized his own star system Anubis directed his Science department on Hyper Drive Technology. Once this was realized he ordered the construction of a Massive fleet of Warships. Using resources from the entire star system Anubis created a fleet of 8,000 ships armed with Lasers, Rail Guns, "death star" like capabilities, Bio Weaponry, Antimatter Weaponry, Nuclear Weaponry, Plasma weaponry, and Ion Pulse weaponry. Many of these huge warships also had the ability to rapidly colonize any habitable planet using cloning (with genetic manipulation to ensure resistance against any diseases on that planet) and many citizens born thereafter were cyberneticly augmented. Anubis Sokar's army has a virtually infinate amount of men through cloning, each being a superhuman cyborg.
80% of the population is in the Military and Anubis Sokar conquered 18.9% of the Milky Way Galaxy to date. Along the way the Empire has assimilated the technologies of several advanced Alien races.
The Region Controlled by the empire is so far divided into 3 sectors and is known as Anubia.
