IC:With the collapse of the Kraven Corporation, a event occurred that was similar to what happened after the collapse of the Soviet Union. That is, there were tons of weapon laden storehouses... but no one to gaurd them. That was quickly solved by the infamous Red Tide Mafia, millions of Kraven GPMGs, handheld anti-tank/anti-aircraft weapons, explosives, and ammunition was stolen and smuggled out of the country. Thanks to them, they would be able to fire a shot in anger once again.

Hakunin looked through the long list of sellers on teh Balck Market. Mostly AK-47 and explosive dealers, none of which Pananab needed. Then something caught his eye.

This would definitely help out the Pananab military. Hakunin began to make the calls.

For something this important, Director Arrius had to be there in person. He arrived unannounced - officially on a pleasure vacation from his duties as director of the Nuclear Energy group - and met quietly with the Red Tide representatives.

"Please understand," he said acidly, "That this is in no way sanctioned by the Zoogiedom government. I wish to impress on you how necessary it is that these transcations are kept completely secret. Let there be no records.

"I have $1.2million ready to spend for new ammunition, but don't think I'll be spending all of it here. I have to be able to store them without the government noticing. I'm interested in considerable quantities of everything, except perhaps the optical sensors. Would you care to explain to me...what they're used for?"

IC:If one did their research, they would know that the only small buisnesses in Red Tide were fronts for the Mafia... they were mostly transport buisnessses and night clubs, with a single eye glasses manufacturing plant somewhere in there. The transport companies were the ones who did the smuggling. But one needed to have connections to put an order in.

OOC:I am going to assume Hakunin called a transport company.

IC:A Russian accented, female voice came over Hakunins phone. It said,

Let me lay out the only two guidelines... the meeting must be in Red Tide, and it must be in a safe area... you will not believe how nosy the Police is here. You can bring as many bodygaurds as you want, just inform us of how many and what weapons they are carrying... if any."

"There will be only one man. He will have only three bodygaurds, none of whom will be visible. One will be armed with a M40A3 Sniper Rifle, the second with a M-16 and the third will have an AK-47, each one of them with a sidearm of whatever their choice and three reloads. I believe there is a large rainforest in Red Tide, am I correct? He will be in a small hut in a clearing about three miles into it. That is where the deal will be."

"Thank you," said Arrius. He took out a pad of paper and wrote on it, then showed it to the Red Tide representative. "We'd like the following."

"Oh, did I say $1.2mil earlier? I meant $12mil. [whoops/ooc]" Arrius smiled, and let the representative read the pad. When he was done, he took out a lighter and burned the paper.

"Are we all clear? The money [$3.48m] is being wired as we speak."

The representative nodded, then said, "They will arrive by freighter registered with the Vanya Freighter Company. Specifically they will be marked as 'Onions'.

Hakunins chat:

"Very well." said the voice. Then a click, the man had hung up.

Hakunin hung the phone up and called General Zheng AoLi of teh conference. Of course he didn't like it, but he agreed to the deal. Major Duhree was ordered on the mission with three bodygaurds.

When Major Duhree arrived at the hut, there were seven men waiting for him, six of which were carrying weapons. Half of them were holding AK-104s, the other half were holding(surprise, surprise) Kraven made GPMGs, all of them were wearing ski masks. Sitting nearby was a BTR-90 Armored Personnel Carrier, its mounted gun constantly swiveling, looking for possible threats. The unarmed man was Ivan Chusenok, he had a briefcase in his right hand and was waiting patiently.

Major Duhree walked into the small hut and cursed the General for making him come into this cramped space; He was clustrophobic. He looked at Ivan and sat.
"Pananab's government feels that it is ill-equipped by modern standards and we understand that you can help us wit that problem?" Duhree asked. Duhree was from Cuba, so his accent was ery notable, as well as his Latino appearance.

Ivan nodded thoughtfully, "Vehicles, weapons, ammunition, or all of the three?" then he went on to explain, "As you can see," he said, motioning to the BTR-90, "We are quite well equipped, what kind of weapons are you precisely looking for? We mostly use Russian weapons. Ak-104 Assault Rifles, T-90 Main Battle Tanks, Mi-24 Hind Assault Helicopters... but recently, if you have seen our advertisements, we have gotten our hands on some," he leaned forward with a smirk, "Kraven weaponry."

The Major nodded.
"So what's the availablility of this weaponry? If it is only a few thousand we can't make much of a deal, but if you can truely supply us, then we're in business."

"sir. our black market watchers report that kraven stuff is coming up for sale already."
"so? their weaponry wasnt anything really special. keep an eye out for any bio-weapons or nukes, other than that, buisness as usual."

"The Kraven Corporation had built up quite an arsenal of handheld weapons. We estimate that we made off with about six million GPMGs, half that number of C12 in pounds, five hundred thousand optical magnifiers, and several hundred million rounds of ammunition, although the GPMG and the Ak-104 use the same type of ammo. We have alot more Russian weapons, of course." He then frowned, "We tried to get some of that three-stage bioweapon and some of their ZSU-633 Mobile Anti-Aircraft Artillery. But we couldnt find any. Pity too, that really would have boosted our weapons sales."

"Pananab can develop its own biological weapons. With numbers like these, I do believe we are in business in this case. Pananab has a growing military and we need armed men to do it. The rifle most spotted is the AK-47. Were you able to capture any Assault Rifles? We have more of a demand for those than for anything else."

Uneasiness, "No, the Kravens used GPMGs as their primary weapons. We DO have Russian Ak-104 Assault Rifles, about 12 million of them. They use about the same ammunition."

"Fine. Two million of the AK-104s and one million of the Kraven Machine Guns. What is the ammo type they use?"

The HCIA was constantly scanning electronic traffic throughout the world -- sometimes legally, sometimes not -- so it wasn't exactly unexpected that they picked up the Red Tide Mafia's secret communique regarding Kraven weaponry. The Red Tide Mafia had often sold weaponry, even nuclear material, to historic Halberdgardian enemies, and so while the HCIA was loathe to buy from them, they recognized that the opportunity to get their hands on Kraven weaponry for study and reverse-engineering was priceless. A communique was summarily composed, and bounced through an obscenely large number of servers worldwide before finally being routed to the Red Tide Mafia.

OOC: Halberdgardia, when I came to the thread I was going to order 10,000 of everything so I could have enough to reverse-engineer and sell to other parties and my own government. Then you did it. You beat me to it. ;)

OOC:Most of the people who man the ship are just employed by the front company. So that means they are only technically employed by the Red Tide Mafia. There are people(mainly the Thugs who live in hidden parts of the ship) that are directly employed by the Mafia, but they act mainly as poorly trained and educated security personnel. Go ahead and raid the ship, the thugs are expendable, but be assure that The Boss(the nickname of the man that leads the Mafia) wont be all that pleased.

IC:The Freighter sailed towards Coronet, bobbing up and down in the ocean waters. It was semi-rickety, the crew were moving about doing their jobs or getting a little R&R on deck. The ship was equipped with the basic navigation systems, namely RADAR and GPS purchased via legitimate markets.

Interested, he read it in depth. It stated that it was believed that the Red Tide Mafia had several million in stock of GPMGs, Godstrikes, optical mags, and C12. This was not acceptable to the Agent, as Kraven technology should stay with Kraven and it's slaves..

He sent an order through the new Command Relay of Whyatica:

**Black Market Mountain is the official showroom of the Red Tide Mafias wares. It actually consists of two locations, a main and a back-up, in the North-Eastern Red Tide Mountain Range. The backup is there incase the Red Tide Goverment ever discovers the fact that the Red Tide Mafia has been selling Chemical and Bio Weapons as well as conventional.

Agent Two and twenty-five of his guards, the Panther Brigade, loaded into a sleek, black VTOL aircraft.

They flew to Black Market Mountain, and the Agent waited in the VTOL aircraft for the Panther Brigade to secure the area...Sniper positions were set up in remote areas, and four Brigadesmen stood with the Agent, armed with Kraven Corporation GPMGs..A very intimidating sight indeed.

A Red Tidean Mafia Thug was laid back and reading a illicit magazine at the checkpoint building at the base of the mountain. When the Whyatican Agent walked up the Thug opened the window and gave a good look at him. There was a Russian made 12.7mm machine gun there. The thugs gave a quick nod and pressed a button that opened the electric gate and said, in heavily accented English, "Quite a ways to walk. You need Vehicle? One around back... find keys in ignition, yes?" then he shut the window.

The Agent and his four-man escort said, "No, we do not require a vehicle." and walked through the gate towards their destination..

Meanwhile, the other twenty-one Panther Brigadesmen set up sniper positions throughout the mountain range, they had clear views of the area the Agent was in, and if worse came to worse, they could kill anyone standing outside where they were..

Namely, 50 T-90S Main Battle Tanks,70 BMP-3 Armored Personnel Carriers, and 180 BTR-90 Armored Personnel Carriers. The main buildnig-complex and the tank-lot was sheltered by a overhead cliff that extended over the building. This prevented sattelites from seeing it. The Agent came to another checkpoint, this one gaurded by a BTR-90, whose engine was off, but the turret was moving around. A man with a GPMG looked at the Agent, then his escorts, nodded and said,

"You must be the people Ivonov told us to expect." He then turned and pointed to a comfortable looking cottage next to the main building, "Thats his office, he will be waiting for you in there. Although your gaurds cannot go in. dont worry, you will be allowed to keep your weapons, and he is unarmed anyways." then he waved to the thugs manning the gate, which swung open.

The Agent could see numerous shady characters walking through the tank lot, looking at the equipment. They were all either terrorists, criminals, mercernaries, Arms Dealers, and even a few intellegince types.

Ivan leaned back in his chair, "That all depends on how well you mantain it. Maintain it moderately well and there shouldnt be any problems involved with sand. It is equipped to keep out NBC Weapons after all. As for how well it would do in battle?" Ivan shrugged, "That depends on how you use it. You have to remember, desert warfare is similar to naval combat, you can manuever virtually anywhere, with a few exceptions. But you are also very visible and, without proper equipment, can get lost easily."

OOC:Most of the people who man the ship are just employed by the front company. So that means they are only technically employed by the Red Tide Mafia. There are people(mainly the Thugs who live in hidden parts of the ship) that are directly employed by the Mafia, but they act mainly as poorly trained and educated security personnel. Go ahead and raid the ship, the thugs are expendable, but be assure that The Boss(the nickname of the man that leads the Mafia) wont be all that pleased.

IC:The Freighter sailed towards Coronet, bobbing up and down in the ocean waters. It was semi-rickety, the crew were moving about doing their jobs or getting a little R&R on deck. The ship was equipped with the basic navigation systems, namely RADAR and GPS purchased via legitimate markets.

As the acquisition of significant amounts of Kraven weaponry was a matter of great importance within the HCIA, it was understandable that they would send their top field agent to oversee the handover.

Within the Agency, he was called Delta One, though he was known by a variety of other aliases, Nevil Clavain and David Sutherland among them. No one except the Director of Central Intelligence -- arguably one of the most powerful men in Halberdgardia and easily more influential than almost any group of politicians -- knew his real identity. He was now here, dressed in a fine suit befitting someone with lots of money or who had a well-heeled sponsor, playing his part.

He knew the HCIA had secretly begun talks with top officials at Consolidated Arms, Inc., Halberdgardia's premier arms manufacturer, to a start a black project to disassemble and reverse-engineer the Kraven weaponry so that the technology within could be implemented into new Consolidated Arms weaponry to be supplied to the Halberdgardian military. Needless to say, securing the weaponry would be a stunning intelligence coup, hence Delta One's presence.

As the Red Tide ship pulled into port, Delta One stepped forward, appearing unarmed. He was actually armed with two concealed Model 150 SMGs, and was being watched by a number of disguised HCIA operatives who were armed with much heavier weaponry, including a few hidden snipers, but he wasn't anticipating problems. He walked forward towards the Red Tide Mafia men.

"The goods?" he inquired. "I apologize if I seem rude, but my employer is not a patient man."

The captain of the ship was the one to go out and greet the HCIA Agents. He was escorted by two thugs, who kept their Ak-104s out of sight as best as possible.

Said Captain nodded emphatically, "I can sympathise with that." Then he turned as the first crate lowered, "This one should have some of those C-12 explosives inside them, given the coloring job." The crate was painted yellow.

The door was pried open and revealed... a bunch of potatoes, made smelly by the desert heat. But before the HCIA agent could react, the captain said, "Stand back.", pinched his nose, and a selected patato and removed it. The entire wall tumbled out to reveal stacks of black boxes with the words, 'WARNING: EXPLOSIVE! CONTAINS C12!'

The Captain nodded, "Forgive the potato gag, its something to throw off the custom agents. They are usually reluctant to go through the smell."

The Confederate Special forces would like to "not" purchase three billion dollars of C-12 plastic explosive (1,000,000 pounds). Money will "not" be laundered to you on confirmation. Delivery should be by freighter to the Special forces command ship Insidious.

"My employer has had the customs officials at this particular dock wrapped around his finger for some time. Amazing what the judicious use of bribery can achieve, no?" he said, chuckling a little.

"That is all I could have asked of you," Delta One replied while signaling over his shoulder for the disguised HCIA agents to come forward and secure the weaponry.

While some of the agents moved to start offloading the equipment, one came forward with a pair of silver briefcases, and handed them to Delta One, who put them down on a nearby empty crate. He motioned for the ship's captain to come forward, and he opened both cases, revealing numerous stacks of U.S. $100 bills, which were still often used for illicit transfers such as this one.

"The $117 million is here," Delta One said. "Enjoy," he added, that same cold smile still affixed to his face.

With the weaponry securely packed in disguised HCIA vehicles and the money handed over, Delta One signaled for his men to move back to the trucks. Delta One himself climbed into an armored limousine, and the convoy of vehicles departed the dark and deserted dock. The HCIA surveillance team that had been watching the entire encounter from their vantage point on a warehouse roof some several hundred meters away kept their eyes on the Red Tide Mafia men, to see if they could glean any more information from them before they departed for good.

"We were able to drive out Emperor Pudu fairly easily. The Pananab military is capable of finding its way. We'll put in a small order for the tanks and Triple A as well as the weapons. Now, tell me about these C-12 explosives."

Ivan smiled, "Damn powerful from what I heard, a single, well placed charge can take down an entire building. A thousand pounds, I heard, can take out a city block, and if you think about it, a thousand pounds isnt all that much... we were contacted by the Red Tide Military who wanted to get their hands on it for crying out loud! Not to sure on how it exactly works though."
