Who left can stand before us? (Kraven War conclusion)

Automagfreek
04-02-2006, 04:44
The Kraven Wars had come to a conclusion at last. Though Automagfreek did not start the conflict, it certainly ended with Automagfreek.

Damien, Azrael, and Vidimir had returned home as conquering heros to the masses of Automagfreek. ULE City was alive with celebrations as well as all the other cities across AMF proper, with people partying in the streets by the millions. The military plane that had taken the trio from Kravonika had finally touched down at the ULE City International Airport, with full military honors greeting them as they stepped back onto their soil.

They waved and cheered alongside their brethren as they walked towards the convoy of vehicles waiting to take them back to the Great Hall, where Silvia awaited them eagerly. Though they posed for the cameras and for the masses that came out to welcome them home, but the media exposure was cut short and the band started off towards the heart of AMF...the Great Hall. The drive seemed like it lasted an eternity, but finally the massive structure came into view. The flags of Automagfreek lined the road that lead to the obsidian gates, as well as legions of Sentinels in ceremonial dress.

Silvia stood at the top of the stone stairs and smiled as the cars came closer, her waist length, jet black hair flying serenely in the air along with her elegant black gown. The sun was shining high in the sky, which beat down upon the fair maiden's face and accented her exquisite physical features. Damien and Azrael looked on in awe at the sight of Silvia and their home, and to them nothing in the world looked better.

With open arms she greeted her brother and father home, and the trumpeters sounded loud as the gates to the Great Hall were thrown open, the smell of dozens of fine foods hitting them like a freight train as they set foot inside for the first time in years since the Kraven Wars started. Before they could even get their coats off the servants exploded forth from the kitchen, carrying great platters to the large oak dining table.

Many hours of drinking and feasting came to a conclusion as the sun began to set, and the entire entire Dreadfire family plus Vidimir sat in Damien's private den. While sipping on fine whiskey, ale, and rum, the four sat and talked casually about their experiences, and what the future would hold for them.

It seems, father, there is no one left to fight. Said Azrael as he took a long drag from his pipe. Damien downed a mouthful of whiskey and sighed hard, wagging his index finger as the rest of his hand clutched the glass. Son...there is always someone left to fight. But for now, there are none tht stand in our path, there are none that have risen to challenge us. I think peace has finally befallen our lands..

Azrael nodded, exhaling the smoke from his pipe weed and taking in fresh breath. True, but I doubt that this peace will go undisturbed. As long as Automagfreek exists, there will always be someone to fight it. How far are we going to take this, or do we just slip into the long oblivion of peace?

Damien though for a second, unsure of how to answer. The question is not how far. The question is...do posess the constitution, the faith, to go as far is as needed?

~From the desk of Lord Damien the Destroyer, Supreme Warlord of the Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek~

Today marks the end of the Kraven Wars, and the birth of a New Dawn. The war against The Kraven Corporation is the 19th war that Automagfreek has fought. We have yet to taste defeat, and we dine at the table of victory once more on this day.

But with the fall of Kraven comes something almost strange...foreign if you will: peace. For now there are none left to stand before us, there are none left to stand against us. Perhaps now, Automagfreek can rest its war machine and live in an era of peace and prosperity.

Though I am weary of battle I will not hesitate to rise to the defence of my nation and its people. Kahanistan and The Kraven Corporation have witnessed firsthand our destructive wrath, and those who still think they can contend with AMF should rethink themselves.

But perhaps now is not the time for idle threats. The tides of war seem to have fallen, and maybe...just maybe, Automagfreek may once more live in an era where war is nothing more than a distant memory.

I do not know what tomorrow will bring, but today we drink of victory and sit amidst the spoils of war. Today is a great day for the Empire.

Though the Tocrowkian Reich and Automagfreek have had little to no past interaction, I would like to congratulate Damien Dreadfire and his nation for their victory. Peace is certainly a wonderful thing, and should not be undervalued. The Reich wishes Automagfreek further fortunes and livelihoods, both in peace and in any future conflict.

Gyrobot looked at an old hangar, as he rummaged through the old scraps, missiles left unused and ammunition and fuel that is of little use. He looked at an old F/22 Raptor. The fighter brought back memories, painful memories. Gyrobot remembered working for Kraven when Xirxium began turning humans to currency for weapons of mass destruction. Gyrobot can now rest peacefully knowing that Kraven has finally been utterly destroyed and never to return to national scene. With this behind him he asked himself, who is going to save Czardas. I wish for someone to aid us but it will seem redundant....

You may not have known but your victory over the Kraven Corperation may have saved us from defeat. Thanks to your nations defeat of Kraven his men had to fall back before they could land on our beaches. If his men had been able to land, our southern front probably would have been breached.

The reports continued to flood in from Kravonika about the progress being made to secure the entire city and restore order. Nearly a quarter million Sentinels continued to spread across the south and center of the city, while a much larger force of 750,000 were marching down from the north with their Capitol Police prisoners. Deportations to Advocate Isle had already begun, and the first batch of captives were charged with constructing the massive camp that would house all of the Capitol Police, while special chambers would be built for containing the Sardaukar.

Damien, Azrael, nor Vidimir appeared before the press the day after their return, but instead siezed the opportunity to rest and relax. It had been the first time in awhile since they had slept in comfortable beds and eaten decent food, both of which they were all thankful for. Damien enjoyed walking through his private gardens alone, which provided him plenty of time for reflection on the events now passed.

Vidimir had proven himself an asset to the AMF military, and Azrael and his Fallen were able to break some of the stiffest resistance ever encountered by Automagfreek forces. The Capitol Police had fought well to protect their city, but the end result was indeed the same as it had always been in every other AMF war...the Sentinels emerged victorious.

Silvia wandered through the Great Hall searching for her father, when a glance out through his chamber window revealed his location in the gardens, near a bubbling fountain at the foot of a large willow tree. She made her way downstairs and eventually outside, where she met up with Damien and offered him a smile and some pleasant company.

Damien motioned for her to sit and chat with him for awhile, for he was still battle weary and not entirely with it. Silvia asked Dreadfire how he was doing, and what things were like in Kravonika, her eyes focused on him eagerly. It was the same as every other shithole battlefield m'dear...blood and fire, bodies and metal...

I've been in battles much grander in scale and much more intense in action, but it has been awhile since I've lead from the front. I'm growing older Silvia, and my laziness is beginning to catch up with my and and my body. She took ahold of Damien's right hand, rubbing it gently as she dismissed his claims. Oh come now father, you are still an excellent physical specimen. You could still fight your way through a mob of dozens of men with ease.

Dreadfire smiled and nodded at his daughter, rising and tensing his arms as he cracked his back. Perhaps you are right, but there will come a day when it is time for me to pass rule down to your brother. He is a fearsome warrior indeed, and I believe that he will carry on my legacy well. But yes, I have many long years ahead of me I'm afraid. Hopefully this will have been my last battle...my last war...

He glanced towards Silvia and winked. ...though I doubt the Gods will be so kind to me.

Later, as the day turned to night, Damien made his way to Dawn's Cathedral by himself. Throwing open the doors of the massive church and stepping inside, he was awestruck by the sheer beauty of the interior, regardless of how many times he had been in there. Walking towards the alter, he felt a strange presence inside the church with him, but he shrugged it off and knelt before the sacred stone slab and offered his thanks to the Corpse God and the God of War.

Thank you my Gods for blessing me in my quest to rid myself of my enemies, of those who conspire against me and seek to topple my Empire. Give me stength to continue on as your vengeful striking hammer...

His prayer was interrupted by a noise in one of the chambers behind him, and slowly his right hand made its way to the Relic's Sword which sat attached to his hip...

Kraven. Defeated by the Freeks.

When the information passed through his ears, Prime Minister Yao Yang Nelson Neo, had mixed feelings on the event. Partly he felt unsurprised, partly jealous and partly anxious.

As he sat in his emerald carpeted office, contemplating the defeat of one of his nation's biggest foes, he wondered....

"Will the corporatists ever be defeated?"
Sarzonia
04-02-2006, 21:15
With the announcement of the defeat of the Kraven Corporation, President Mike Sarzo barely reacted outwardly. Though anyone who knew him well knew what that meant. The swirl of competing emotions was fighting their own war and it wasn't clear who would win the battle of wills to serve as the official spokesman for the President's feelings. While on the one hand he personally wanted the Kraven Corporation ousted, Automagfreek being the nation performing the deed was not on his agenda as a cause for enthusiasm. He viewed Automagfreek with deep animosity, one that even surpassed the Doomies in its swath.

He knew what some people within the bowels of his government said when Sarzonia was just a developing country with barely any military power. He knew that his military planners were deep into their debates and discussions over various military plans for wars against countries throughout the world. In some cases, those plans were devised just to give military planners something to do because the countries involved were unlikely foes. However, some of those plans were being developed with an eye toward their use.

Sarzo knew that Automagfreek was not a nation he could simply ignore and hope it would just go away. He also knew that the end of the Gholgoth Wars meant that Automagfreek wasn't knocking on its door immediately. That contrast was what kept Sarzo's outward expression as neutral as it was, even though he knew he wasn't neutral toward either Kraven or Automagfreek.

Another day, Sarzo thought. The time for us to make our mark will be another day.

From: Grand Senate of the Allied Union
To: Nations of the World

It is a bright day for the world, indeed. For many months, time and time again, the forces of the Allied Union and her allies, along with the overwhelming forces of the Excessivly Armed Empire have clashed with the Corporation. And now, after so much bloodshed and destruction we can finally claim victory for our side.

What we can learn from this dark chapter in our history is that freedom is, and never will be free.

Official Statement from the Office of the Prime Minister
Democratic Capitalist Republic of Pacitalia

To: Supreme Warlord Damien Dreadfire
Excessively Armed Empire of Automagfreek

From: Prime Minister Constantino Sorantanali
Democratic Capitalist Republic of Pacitalia

Signore --

First of all, I would like to heartily congratulate you for your victory over The Kraven Corporation and its forces. This nation proved to be a present-day Judas, and your victory proved how wrong it is to betray or use a friend so offensively and blatantly. This, your nineteenth victory, has further proven your place among nations as a power and a defender against the oppression brought by other states who seek and have sought to challenge the Freekian politik.

Pacitalians are great believers in state sovereignty. We may have our differences with you (as do any two nations), but we respect you greatly and respect that you have the right to do what you want and say what you want as long as it does not compromise the ability or integrity of other nations to work and exist freely. Your defence of that ideal only makes our respect for you greater.

Pacitalians and Freekians have been strong friends for a long time. We have cooperated on many issues, and although we have differed on the rest, we have always respected each other's points and positions. The friendship between our nationstates will continue for a long time. Pacitalia will be there to vocally defend your right to exist against those who have recently sought to oppress that, defying their own principles in the process.

That being said, I am aware that Pacitalia's former prime minister, Dr. Timothy Ell, offered to host you in Timiocato, but he has retired from politics. However, I am prepared to extend that invitation to you once more - an open-ended receiving of you and a delegation here in the Pacitalian capital. I hope we can work towards continuing to solidify the positive relationship my predecessor had already built with you.

May God bless the victorious Excessively Armed Empire.

Sincera in domina bene,

Constantino Sorantanali, Prime Minister

Automagfreek is most grateful to have Pacitalians still view our Empire in a favorable manner. We too believe that our bond of friendship will only grow stronger as the years progress, and now that the Kraven menace is defeated, we can return to a state of peace once more.

The Capitol Police fought bravely, though the end result was nothing unexpected. The remarkable resolve that Automagfreek exhibits will truely go down in the history books forever, and tales of our exploits will be passed down from generation to generation.

Peace....it feels good to even utter the words. Perhaps someday soon we will take you up on that offer, unless another tin pot nation decides to try and 'topple' us.

Incoming Message from the Executive Government of the Motherland of Anagonia

Dear Minister Hartman,

For many decades we have observed your Nation, from its first ascension into conclusion, to its rise to awesome glory. We have admired you, and studied you. We have watched you, and done many things, asked many questions, sought many answers.

Now, however, we can be open about our desires to establish some kind of relations with your mighty Nation. We, as Anagonians, are formally asking that this foreign idea of "Peace" be allowed on you in the aspect of gaining new friends who have come from very old times. It would greatly honor us to talk with you on matters.

To be honest, we sense another time of seclusion coming your way, and we must act without haste. Our days here are not yet numbered, but to gain the knowledge and experience from your honorable people would be the upmost glory to us. We act now, because we believe our last chance to meet your unique kind is closing.

We ask that you listen to this offer, for we have admired your culture and Nation greatly for untold decades.

Sincerely,

From: General Arnold Saltzman, Head of State, Aequatian Junta

Once again, with the defeat of the Kraven Corporation, you have increased the credibility of the Automagfreek legend of invincibility. Another military victory on a grand scale under your belt is, although most impressive, was never in doubt among the Aequatian people. We feel most ashamed in not joining the fight alongside the brave Freeks, however, with our own nation turning to shambles, our utmost priority was to rally our nation once again to greatness.

To exchange one evil for another. That wasn't victory, but a delayed defeat. The World had its chance, it could have pounced upon Dreadfire with his attention focused on the Kravens. The Capitol Police were strong enough that with the Freeks focus on other fronts, prehaps a home front, that the world could have sent Dreadfire into the history books he spoke so much about. Yet, York couldn't condemn anyone--Jagada itself had refused to act when it could. Even with the Crusaders assembled for any war nessecary, he didn't give the order. Fighting Automagfreek alone was sueicide, and thus York was content for a delayed victory rather than outright termiantion at the hands of Dreadfire.

York smirked, prehaps one day Dreadfire would get soft, prehaps one day like all other great leaders in history he would make a mistake and then the World could takes its vegence upon him and his allies. Prehaps, but unlikely. Either way, the Kraven Corperation was a memory of the past, and Automagfreek grew a little more in legend and power. And the world kept on turning...

Lord Dreadfire personally thanks you all for your well wishes and interests in formal ties to our nation. We are prepared to open ties to any nation that requests it, as well as trade options.

We also thank Risban for the gift, it will be placed in Damien's throne room for all to see. I'm sure it will look quite nice next to the Relic's Sword, the 10,000 year old blade that Dreadfire wields.

To Aequatio....worry not, there will be another day when Sentinels and Freeks fight alongside the legendary Marines. Hopefully that day will not come to soon, but what lies ahead of the Empire is still unclear.

To Anagonia, though I'm not sure if we will fall into seclusion, there is no doubt that AMF will be switching gears. We grow weary of war, though the taste of victory and the spoils of war are very sweet to behold. We will be in touch.
