Johan had been thinking of ways to mark his reign, more than just uprooting the feudal lords but something monumental, something none had done before. He decided that what best suited him was conquest. Not only conquest of the lakes that their nation was centered around but conquest of the entire continent. He would be remembered as Johan the Great in his mind and he could imagine the epithat on his tomb Here lies the greatest ever, Johan the Great. Conqueror and autocrat, creator of the Philanchian Empire.

OOC: If one of the PT rpers wants to rp the resistors then they are welcome to but if noone responds within 24hours I will do it myself. The resistors are basically Native American types although probablly less advanced then they should be.

OOC: Im moveing towards the coast where central USA should be and this is only one small tribe right now
IC: The troops were moveing along quickly. The coastal plains provided near perfect riding land and they covered much land in a day. As they neared the coast though they began seeing sparse settlements. They would send a delegation to them and request that they surrender while the army was in plain view. If they refused then the Philanchian Knights and CUmans swarmed down on them and slaughtered every living thing. This occured in two or three small settlements but when they reached a huge town that even had wooden walls they knew they were in for a battle.
It appeared as if the remaining tribesmen had banded together to form a sort of joint front agains the Philanchians. They sent a delegation under the flag of truce and requested the surrender of the town. the tribesmen did not surrender and the delegation left while the engineers finished setting up ballistae and trebuchet. once the seige weapons were built they began the seige of the city.

OOC: What are my numbers?
IC:
"What are they building?" Asked the young tribesmen. The warriors did not like these strange contraptions, they seemed evil.
"Who know's young one. But do not worry. The god's will give us strength to destroy these fools." Spoke the old grey man.
The young men rolled their eyes. The elderly often said such stupid things.
"Let us prepare to fight!"

The young men were sick of being pent up behind the walls. They called for a raid on the enemies camp while they slept, something that would hurt the enemy, revenge for what they did to those poor village that were sacked.
"Let us sneak out under the light of moonlight! And cut their throats as they sleep!" One vehemantly argued. Eventually the elders crumbled: They could not resist the will of the young.
So once nightfall passed, 10,000 young tribesmen would attack the enemy camp with fire arrow before rushing in with their bronze blades......

As a blaze in the camp the soldiers who had gone to sleep in their armour and with their weapons at hand began to wake up. They frantically rushed about to put out the fire while a group of some 3,000 Archers and all the Arcanii along with 2,000 Cumans were moved towards the camps perimiter to stop the inevitable and probablly already progressing raid.

OOC: Erm, Frozop can we get this going?
OOC: KK sorry forgot, Frozopia=Topal. I will post a bit later, something just came up.
The Tribesmen charged down the centre, through the camp, pushing forwards and killing enemy soldiers as they rushed from their tents. As they passed enemy tents they hurled buring brands into them, driving the enemy out. As they sighted the enemy attempts to stem the raid, several tribesman sounded the horn and immediatly they began retreating, throwing arrows at the pursuing enemy. The less well disciplined tribesmen failed to hear the horns and instead threw themselfs at the approaching soldiers, ignoring their superior numbers, but most of the tribal warriors did as they were told.....

OOC: I'm wondeirng if you'd be interested in letting my PT nation into this? And since you've landed on the southern coast, it can work with my nation's location description. My kingdom is in the far north, surrounded by mountains and to the south we have contact with wild tribes, and a few rebel principalities. So it would be cool if you happened to land on the same continent, wouldn't it?

OOC: Go to the main thread. It called PT planning thread and claim an area on the map. Then we'll talk.
IC: The raid was quick as could be imagined. Several casualties but nothing too major. the Cavalry chaased down the retreating tribesmen and slaughtered several of them but they got inside their walls too quickly for real damage to be done. The good news was that only one ballistae had been destroyed and the seige continued. Latter that day the doors began giveing way a bit and in a formation like a turtle the troops moved in towards the walls throwing branches and grass in a pile in front of it. They lit fire too it and then scrambled back. As the doors began too catch a ram was brought forward and pushed down the weakened doors. As the Knights rushed in the were met by volleys of arrows. Following the Knights were the infantry and all the while Crossbowman kept up fire at the archers on the wall.

The tribesmen panicked as fire spread across the gate. The tribesmen waiting within heard the ominous Boom as the battering ram slammed into the gate and began to take a few steps backwards. Several tribal leaders shouted to remind the men what they were fighting for, and immediatly they steadied.
Finally the gates burst open, enemy horsemen pouring in. The tribesmen immediatly leveled their bronze headed spears, forming a weak shield wall that was quickly brocken by the heavy cavalry.
Bravely tribesmen dived from the walls onto the horsemen themselves, but the damage was done, and soon the enemy had cut through the tribal warriors. Soon they began too flee through the various gates, as swords and crossbow bolts cut them down.....

A contingent of Knights was sent after those who fled to cut them down. Meanwhile, in the city Johan stood before the tribal leaders who were on their knes with their hands tied behind their backs. "You have defied me and my empire and you shall pay the price as those before you have. But do not die with guilt for you have the kneowledge that your people were only conquered b the best in the world and they will be forever a part of the Philanchian Empire!" At the end of the sentence all three tribesmen were kicked over onto their stomachs and Johan took an axe to each of their necks. he would let his army rest and integrate this area but soon enough there would be more expansion.
