OOC:If you want to say you had a spy pose as one of the launch technicians, thats fine, but not even the launch technicians had been informed about what specifically is going on.
IC:For four years now, enormous, Red Tidean R-100 Rockets, bigger then the Saturn V, had been erupting away from ground launch sites towards a particalur point in the Mid-Earth Orbit Area. Anybody who monitored these launches would have figured out that they always headed on a orbit that moves from North-South. The Red Tidean Goverment had never commented about these launches, photographs of this orbit would note that, at first, it didnt look like anything distinguishable, but as time went on it began to take shape until it was obvious what it was... a gigantic gun, pointed towards Earth.
The exact purpose and type of this gun was extremely hard to establish since Koria Space Center, the only site in Red Tide that could launch the R-100(and indeed is where they were being launched from), had been temporarily taken over by the Red Tidean Military. The sattelite intellegince would show that the launch site and the control center had been taken over by a Current Gaurd Mech-Infantry Division. That made it serious as Current Gaurd Shocktroopers were the elite units of the Red Tidean military. But no Inetellegince Organisation had ever penetrated the Current Gaurd. The Regular Military (namely those at and above the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel) had been penetrated before, but never the Current Gaurd.
Now things were tense, intel would show another two Current Gaurd Divisions, one a Mech-Infantry another a Armored, had moved into the Launch and Control Sites... as well as a familiar black limosine that could only contain one person...
Koria Space Center, Red Tide...
The Supreme Commanders limo rolled into through the front gate of the launch site. Inside, with tinted windows, was Supreme Commander Gregori McKenna, the leader of Red Tide. The limo pulled up too a curb and the chauffer got out and opened the door. Then he stepped out, wearing American made sunglasses and puffing on a cuban made cigar, not to mention the black buisness suite, he walked forward casually and was immediatly surrounded by Current Gaurd Shocktroopers. He moved forward as if they were not there. Up ahead was Edgar Baretov, the Red Tidean Defense Minister.
"EDGAR!" Gregori said.
"GREGORI!" Edgar said.
They shook hands and moved on, talking, "This is it?"
Edgar nodded, "The final Launch."
Gregori spoke thoughtfully, "Who here on this base know of it?"
Edgar said, "The Head of the Project... and thats about it."
Gregori smiled, "It took us five trillion dollars and four years... now it is almost done."
They continued to walk and chat, they were heading over to where the Launch Technicians had been lined up and were going to be inspected by Gregori.
