The Tale of Two Ghosts
STAR ZERO: A rough tough outpost whose people have endured much. CAPTAIN ARTIMUS AGRIPPA has led his people through a fierce war for indepdencence and a harrowing journey to the new world. The Empire of SETIAN - SEBECEANS, who have been persuing the colonists attack Star Zero. The Zeros repel the invaders with the help of THE XENO, and DEATHSPIRE.
During the battle, the EMPEROR of Setian-Sebeceans desends onto the the planet to negotaite terms for surrender. Rather than accept servitude, Artimus Agrippa marytrs himself killing both himself and the Emperor.
However, both men would survive the encounter...
The Zeros would use the corpse of the Emperor as a bargining chip to bring peace to Star Zero. Little do they know, the Empire of Setian-Sebeceans revives the Emperor who is now bent on vengence.
The Xeno recover the body of Artimus Agrippa and revive him. Artimus' actions during the escape have caused him to be exiled from Star Zero. The Xeno's accept Agrippa as one of their own, and Agrippa becomes a Xeno Marine.
Star Zero and the Xeno continue to bloster the defence of the planet. TIFFANY POINT is contructed around Star Zero to help repel invaders, and the Xeno have stationed the STAR ZERO DEFENCE FORCE to help defend the planet from hostile forces.
On Star Zero, PRESIDENT ALEXANDIA CUTTER has just hosted a Intergalatic Gala that has brought wide attention to the plight of Star Zero and has won Cutter freinds throughtout the Galaxy. She is not aware that Agrippa or the Emperor are still alive...

Zero Point System
A cluster of twelve Xeno warships hung motionless in an orbit around the planet. The eleven ships of the Zero Point Taskforce, joined temporarily by the destroyer Leyte Gulf on regular patrol.
Time had passed since the events at Tiffany Point and like a coming storm, war was inevidible again. The race whose emperor had died would surely strike back, it was only a matter of time now.
Polaris
On the cold little planet, empty fields of snow and ice stretched hundreds of miles before encountering massive forests of pine and tough plantlife that had managed to eek out an existance among the continual winter and very short summer thaws.
Only around the planet's equator was there color, browns, greens and greys where vast lakes remained unfrozen year-round to substain some civilization.
Mostly though the Xeno stayed to the north, and happily so. The cold wasn't really a bother, and the huge mountains and valleys that had been formed by continual glacier drift presented perfect places to dig in, armor up and turn their gaze and ears to the heavens to search for intruders attempting to sneak past to the Xeno homeworld.
Dozens of facilities with large satellite farms stood silent vigil in sheltered valleys or steep mountainsides, taking in data constantly and evaluating it.
This was one of the Xeno 'nest-worlds' where garrisons of entire Divisions could be found, in training and on-duty, always prepared. Thousands of shuttles and dropships waited in protected hangars scattered around the planet, ready to reinforce XSS1, Zero Point or the unthinkable, Solaris itself at a moment's notice.

Before she left, Brigadier General Andrews informed President Cutter that the Preserver would be moving to Xeno's XSS1 station temporarily to aid in the partial field refit and that the Poseidon would remain behind as the current SeaQuestian ship attached to Star Zero like the Carlson was attached to Xeno via the XSS1. Of course, that's what the orders had told her to say in case anyone asked where the the Preserver was going so soon after arriving. They also instructed her to do something completely different instead.
OOC: Just an F.Y.I., FC cleared me to RP his ships transporting parts and helping with the refit for this RP arc, not to fight with them. So, the D'Koras will not be fighting, unless FC decides to step in and RP doing that with them himself.

"HOSTILE VESSEL APPROACHING AT 09-33-11.020! FIRE AT WILL!"
Chief Warrent Officer Knight was supervising the gunnery crews of Tiffany Point. This was a simulation, but the people of Star Zero took training very seriously.
The crewman placed the coodinates into the computer and fired. On the holoscreen, the dark target ship went through a series of explosions as the particle beams ripped the ship apart.
2.3 seconds
"YOUR STILL TOO SLOW! GET IN THAT TURRET AND RUN IT THROUGH AGAIN!"
Knight was tough, but his men would be the deadliest crew of all.

Corp Commander Eean stood in one of the heavily fortitified bunkers atop a mountain. This particular room of the bunker was host to dozens of large holoscreens and big tables with seating for probably a hundred. At the moment though, there were only about thirty other officers present. Eean, a large and battle-scarred Xeno was communicating his orders to his staff, ~3rd, 7th, 8th and 9th Divisions are currently in position on Polaris. We are also rotating in 1st Brigade of 1st Infantry Division from Solaris. That leaves the homeworld with twelve divisions of Infantry, plus a brigade of marines.~
The staff were nodding or taking notes on datapads, confirming deployments with their OOB charts.
The Corp Commander continued, ~Rear Admiral Raven has deployed to Polaris sixteen Wings, and Drone Commander Tekko is here now with his entire 1st Drone Brigade. With our current naval assets, we stand ready to either reinforce Zero Point, XSS1 and Solaris, or fight off an invasion of Polaris.~

"Are we ready?"
"Yes, ma'am. Cloak was installed en route from Altera."
"Then activate the Phase Cloak at a Level 1 setting."
"Aye, ma'am."
Exterior
The dark form of the Preserver shimmered and dissapeared. The Last Stand followed suit shortly afterwards. Those who were familiar with SeaQuest's F.T.L. technology would assume the ships had simply Phased into Hyperspace for the trip to XSS1, which is where the ten D'Koras Ferengi Consortium had sent were heading to at Warp 5. With the power currently being fed into the cloak by the Preserver, it would take a ship larger than the Eclipse to even consider trying to detect her as smaller ships wouldn't have the power requirements.
OOC: SeaQuestian starships have a highly advanced form of phase cloaking device. This allows the ship to not only become undetectable but also intangible and unaffected by anything in the normal universe. The settings range from merely becoming invisible, to being completely intangible, however when intangible the ship's weapons are useless and cannot fire. The phase cloaking devices range in power; generally the larger the ship the more powerful the device.
With only the normal cloak engaged, SeaQuestian vessels are extremely difficult to detect, and can still fire their weapons. The more advanced SeaQuestian sensors can detect ships using the lower power cloak systems, however, for example, it takes multiple scouts working in tandem to locate a battlecruiser.

The Xeno power armored suits in the armories were getting white and gray camo jobs. Equipment was being checked and rechecked while units were constantly out in the mountains, valleys and ice fields in massive wargames. They were ready to strike or defend at a moment's notice. The Xeno 'hive' mindset had become calm and grim, looking forward to the eventual battle they would face at someone's hands. Perhaps not the enemy they had predicted, but someone would make a move. It was inevitible.

Jason Maverick was a fighter pilot.
Not just any fighter pilot, the best.
Today he would try out his new craft. The Star Viper Fighter. The craft was still considered experimental, but time was not on thier side. The unique triwing shape gave the fighter amazing maunverabilty.
It also had a small cloaking device. Granted, it wasn't much and couldn't be used when the ship was firing, but it was something. It was also amazingly fast.
Maverick started up the engines and checked his systems. Tiffany Point gave him the clearence to take off.

The craft took off quickly and zipped out the station.

A object moved towards the planet of Star Zero. It was a shadow, a cloaked vessel, on a single mission. It was a vital mission, and she would not emit a single photon of energy. She came closer, and noted the position of the military forces... but that wasn't her duty, the SIS Faera was watching military movements. It was her, the SIS Xenia, who was to put 8 Elited Eclipse Marines* on the surface.
OOC: * Eclipse Marines are Orbital Marines trained from birth... they are loaded up with the best of equipment and are the best troops in the Empire.

Aboard Tiffany Point
The station of Tiffany Point had a speical sensor. It detected space dust. Ever since the first attack by a cloaked ship, scientists had been hard at work to discover a way to find cloaked vessels.
The concept was easy enough. Everything had mass. You couldn't hide mass. It was still there. Space dust was also everywhere. When ships entered the system, they displaced spacedust. Therefore, if you detected the absence of spacedust, you could find the cloaked ship.
The Space Viper would help to test the theory. Once Maverick cloaked, the station would begin it's scans.
"Tiffany Point to Corbra One, you may commence with cloak test, over"
Maverick pulled his craft into a roll and switched on his cloaking device. Slowly the ship began to disappear.
Aboard the station, crewman would gaze at thier screens, expecting to find an empty space filled with one lone fighter. The funny thing was, they saw something bigger. Much bigger. In fact, there were three cloaked object.
"Oh shit...they're HERE!"
Alarms sounded throught the station. They knew about the SeaQuest vessel, but these guys other guys were the enemy.
Target coordinates were sent to the batteries and the huge particle cannons of Tiffany Point roared to life. The first ship was in range of 8 of the supercannons. They would fire simultanously.

"Possible cloaked ship?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Bring us in slowly. Quarter speed. Then, when we have gained enough momentum to pulled into an elliptical orbit around the Star Zero main planet when we get in range of its gravitational field, shut down the engines and let us coast in."
"Aye, aye, ma'am."
"Status of the Phase Cloak?"
"Fully functional and at the maximum setting. It would take an object with a Death Star's power output to detect us now."
OCC: Note: Using a Phase Cloak, the ship doesn't displace space dust, it simply passes through it.

The Xenia had no time to react, and was hit. Its systems went down after the first shot, and the second took out the bridge. The ship quickly initiated self-destruct, and the ship's powerhouse [Micro-Blackhole] lost integrity and began pulling the ship into it, but as the ship compressed the blackhole itsefl lost intergrity and exploded. The SIS Faera watched this, and did not hesitate, she jumped out.

"That was just a probe. Alert Fleet Command, full stand-up of military readiness suggested through the 'net. Signal XSS1 immedietly and have them finish up launching Operation Proceedure."
And gears were set in motion. A handful of Xeno warships lept into Zero Point, deploying hundreds of shuttles and dropships which burnt towards Zero Point, skipping down through the atmosphere to settle at various spaceports. These are the transports of the 20th Xeno Infantry Division. The warships then disappeared again, going back to XSS1 to maintain defenses.

Crimson flashes burst through the fragile fabric of the void, immense round spheres the colour of pigeon's blood roiling out of Underspace, the maw of null reality slamming closed behind them.
The twin ruby spheres on the black velvet void faded, dispersing into the starry nothingness, leaving two long, vicious looking warships floating just beyond the Oort Cloud. Both warships - Jack Ketch Class Dreadnaughts - engaged their mammoth engines, the silent tongue of blue light bathing the dull gray armour a muted cyan. They set their course, and prepared for battle.
Captain Jolles, of the Kasimian Republic Starship Mjolnir peered out into the void, casually draped over his seat. Around him other officers made ready, preparing the immense Dreadnaught for the inevitable conflict.
"What is the point in joining this battle, Djehuty?" He asked, seemingly to nothing.
An answer came in the form of a voice that sounded eerily close, as if over one's shoulder, tenor and calm.
Simple. We need allies for the push on Tannis. What better way than endearing ourselves to a powerful Xeno admiral and the colonists below? We also need to establish a trade with other races.
"Or we could mind our own business, avoid pissing off a race of Neo Nazi Enthusiasts, and open up trade with the victor." Pointed out Solles.
The Setians won't trade. They will conquer. There won't be anything left of our way of life once they learn of our existence. I have been monitoring their unencrypted communications for quite some time.
And we need this trade lane now, before the Push. We can't continue towards victory without a strong ally. The AI replied.
Whilst he was the captain, Djehuty was invariably in charge of things in the Republic. Not that many knew it. The AI preferred to work from behind the scenes. Probably a smart idea. The Republic needed a human face.
Trust me, Captain. By putting two of our heavyhitters in the brawl, we may win more than a battle.
"Captain!" The Sensors Officer turned, his helmet masking his face in a plastic and steel visor. "Underspace sensors are getting a strange return. There's something out there."
That's a phase cloak. Pushing the ship in question out of phase with the first four dimensions. It probably knows we're here, but I doubt it knows we can 'see' them. The AI completed, voice slightly distracted.
"Maintain course and send the greeting to the planet."
Of course.

It looked like a shower of sparkling stars in the CIC as Captain Marthe watched the Xeno dropships and shuttles rain down onto Zero Point to begin debarking the 20th Xeno Infantry Division. Then the holomap of the planet zoomed out and a little red dot appeared, somewhere out in space some distance away from the world.
One of the Xeno Battleships, the New Mexico turned its nose towards the contact and had been advancing on an intercept course. But then powerful sensors among the Zero Point Taskforce began to pick up on the message.
The Taskforce was on ready-standby while the message could be relayed to Polaris, and then XSS1. Moments passed before the Fleet Admiral could send his reply, which was then relayed to the new ships in the system,
To: Kasimian Dreadnaught Mjolnir
From: Xeno Command, XSS1
Acknowledged, Kasimian Republic. We will relay your request to Star Zero, with respects to their soverignity. We cannot speak for them. Please standby.
And a copy of the Kasimian Republic's message would be sent to Star Zero. Admiral Janice of the New Mexico sent along her own message with it,
"It certainly would not hurt to have more defenders. Likely, our foe does not know the extent of the allies we have gained. Reccomend the Kasimian Republic ships shelter behind the nearest planet and remain at standby to avoid detection. When the time is right, they could be a very, very useful hammer to smash our enemy's ships against the anvil of our defense."

The 20th Xeno Infantry Division is a typical Xeno Division. It numbers 15,000 soldiers with APC transports, 25 Exodus Mobile Launchers and an attached Drone Company of 100. Many of the Xeno wear their combat with white and gray camo, showing that they had recently arrived at XSS1 from Polaris.
They form up in batallions of 500 Xenos and assemble in the mountains near Zero Point. From here, they can look out over the capital city as well as the surrounding region. Two batallions are deployed to the capital city to strengthen the local garrison.
Mainly though, they expect the fighting to take place outside of the city. The enemy had discovered how dangerous it was to try and threaten civilians.

OOC: Because you said you had a massive military on standby, despite it being impossible for a society to maintain a military while devoting such a massive part of its budget to it. Simple economics dictates that if you spend all your money on your military, your infrastructure, industry and market will collapse thus destroying your economy and annihilating any chance of maintaining a military.

OOC: Look at it like this. According to my national stats, I could probably afford to buy .. meh, 6 or 7 battleships per Nationstates year. But I don't, because my military budget doesn't go to JUST buying more gear, but maintaining what I have, paying for base upkeep, ammunition, etc.
In my mind, I add a bit more to my military budget due to the fact that my military is pretty small, which means more citizens are free to work and trade and supply resources to the society.
The Xeno are sophisticated and have been around for a while now, but I only have a handful of ships when compared to other nations. Why? Quality. Quality over quantitity. My ships are expensive and powerful, I don't NEED huge fleets. Mainly, the Xeno warships exist to deflect attacks, patrol and explore. They maintain very professional, very dedicated armies to defend their holdings.
Why don't navies of today have HUGE fleets? Because you can't WIN a war with navies. You can't CAPTURE any land with them.
Xeno warships are capable of engaging enemy fleets, but the biggest branch of the Xeno military is the army, the ground forces. The fleet exists to get the army into battle, and to defend worlds from orbital bombardment so that the fight STAYS on the ground, where the Xeno have the advantage in technology and they can't be bombed from space without being able to fight back.

OOC: Are you going to commit ALL of your forces to defending a foreign nation? Think about it. You say one fleet is like.. X number of ships, and there's 2 more fleets just like it. Well, that's 33% of your total forces. That's a LARGE chunk. Doesn't your world have trade lanes to protect? As well as defending the planet from attack.
I developed a special taskforce soley for the purpose of defending Zero Point just because I couldn't SPARE the ships defending the XSS1 space station, or my 2 planets. The Zero Point Taskforce represents about.. meh, 12% to 8% of my ships. I keep enough forces at Polaris to spring into action to defend XSS1 or Solaris (Xeno homeworld) as a sort of reserve, but the numbers are pretty limited still. I'm even roleplaying that the Xeno have developed another warship class, a cruiser that's somewhere between the battleship and destroyer. Kind of like a cheaper, smaller battleship that they can build a lot more of to start filling in gaps in the Xeno defenses.

Several weeks had passed with nothing, when a wall of ships approached, not of Sebecean origin... they were mercs and bandits hired and threatened by the Empire. Hundreds of frigates and corvettes with a number of destroyers and cruisers with a few carriers. They, came from behind the nearest gas giant to the planet, and they were now in veiw.
A cloud of missiles and fighters headed towards the Xeno and Star Zero positions. They wouldn't attack the others, but it wouldn't matter because the others would surely attack. None of the ships were Sebecean, but they would cause enough damage for the Sebeceans to push them aside.

OOC: You can find information on Xeno weapons and ships at http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=459672
Zero Point Orbit
The battleship New Mexico and two frigates, the Pilum and Knight immedietly ventured towards the incoming ships. The point-defense weaponry, flak cannons and Swarm missile pods would turn towards the curtain of rockets approaching, and spat out streams of glittering death into the path of the weaponry. Double-barreled cannons twitched back and forth, hosing ammunition that exploded at a set distance, thus throwing up its own wall of destruction.
The New Mexico took point, its weapons quivering like the tiny legs of an insect as they continued to lock onto targets, then spit out a cloud of shrapnel into their path. In space, there is one major advantage the Xeno have for this sort of thing. Most other races use lasers or missile-on-missile defenses to intercept inbounds. The Xenos rely on simple physics. With no gravity to pull shrapnel DOWNWARDS, they were able to blast clouds of shrapnel forward into the path of incoming torpedos and missiles, which would shred them a very long distance away.
Not having to rely on destroy-on-contact weaponry, it was sort of like firing a shotgun into a flock of birds, except without gravity, the flak has enormous range.
Like strings of firecrackers, inbound missiles would begin exploding halfway to the Xeno and Star Zero ships, thousands of little glittering explosions forming a wall between the two fleets. Weapons would then be quickly reprogrammed, dialing the range back by a kilometer, so a new 'wall' of exploding shrapnel would form a kilometer closer to the Xeno ships, and then so on.
Like this, the Xeno could continually lay down 'waves' of flak and objects for the enemy missiles to collide with.
Even still, due to vast numbers, mathematicly missiles would slip through. Two struck the blunt nose of the New Mexico, pealing back armor and pockmarking the surface, while other missiles struck along one flank. The damage was superficial, just the opening salvos for capital ships really. Still, one Swarm pod was disabled when a torpedo physically struck it and exploded, ripping it free of its housing.
The Knight was also hit twice, along the 'spine' of the ship at the armor belt designed to absorb such impacts and remain intact. The frigates are smaller and less-armored than the battleships of course, so they were mainly hanging back a bit, manuvering to avoid missiles.
The frigates with their paired anti-ship cannons would begin spitting out volleys of 250lb, solid, armor-piercing 'bullets' much like artillery shells. Except, every 3rd round is explosive. The accurate weapons would be fired in streams, trying to land multiple armor-piercing rounds to shred armor, and then explosive to tear up ruined areas and hopefully delve into the ship's vitals.
Of course, due to the nature of the shells, they would punch through the walls of shrapnel laid down mostly intact, perhaps chipped and some of them knocked off course by heavier pieces of shrapnel, but mainly.. a solid bullet can pass through such things without the same devestating effects that a rocket might, whose skin would be shredded apart and the delicate internals ruined.
Right now, there was no point in firing torpedos or anti-ship missiles, there was just no sense in trying to get a lucky shot through the flak wall.
The New Mexico would also be firing its Ultra ASC cannons, where the frigates have 2 pairs of cannons each, the battleships have 28 pairs. A hail of devestation would reach out for the pirates, firing accurate bursts towards ships that would have weaker armor, and thus be vulnerable to especially quick crippling attacks.
***
Behind the main battle line, two more Xeno battleships (California and Washington) along with four destroyers (Pearl Harbor, Falkirk, Jena and Austerlitz) plus the Leyte Gulf and the remaining two frigates (Sling and Spear) were manuvering into range to support the skirmish line that the New Mexico battlegroup had formed.
Close enough to the planet incase of some sort of emergency, but within range of the fight would be their goal. Out of range for the moment, they were forced to bide several minutes to close in.
75 F1 Xeno Fighters were released from various ships, but for the time being it was unsafe to engage and they hovered about their larger fatherships, waiting for orders.
It seemed, the Xeno would be the first ones to bleed for Star Zero's newest bid for freedom.

"Valkyrie reports locked and ready, sir!" Yelled the comms officer, monitoring their Underspace comms with the attentiveness of a bloodhound on a trail.
Advise the use of CTDs and imploder missiles on enemy formation, and use of Ion cannons to shock them out of their revery. Djehuty stated, checking the Dreadnaught's weapon carousels and their warheads. Also advise use of heavy kinetic suppression fire.
"CTDs on ships?" Asked the captain incredulously. CTDs were designed to be used on orbital and planetary targets, not ships.
Centre of the formation. Low profile Long Range launch. All but invisible to sensors as anything other than another kinetic weapon. I'll ask for orders, and begin a count down. Fire rate on missiles to be set to 100RPM. Kinetics to maximum rate of fire.

Around Tiffany Point the minefeild opened up. Small pods in orbit around Star Zero and the orbital battlestation lit up and began to target the incoming missiles. Their twin laser turrets were small, but more than enough to knock out the incoming swarm.
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e329/stdcpw12/mine.jpg
Several mines took hits and exploded. A few missiles escaped the barrage of laserfire and were absorbed into Tiffany Point's sheilds.
Alarms sounded throughout the station.
Captain Starfox entered the bridge, "STATUS REPORT!"
An Armanda of unknown orgin has just launched missiles at us. The Xeno have launched countermeasures and are taking damage. The Valkyrie has begun to engage. First and Second Fleets are moving to into attack formation."
Captain Starfox looked at the commandscreen. "How many?"
"Still calculating, rough estimate is about a hundred ships."
"Weapons, take aim at those two carriers."
"Target locked sir"
"FIRE!"
The large guns on Tiffany point moved in two directions. The carriers were still aways out, but the station had an enourmous reach. Bolts of particle beams lit up the space between Tiffany Point and the mercenary armanda.
Meanwhile, two cloaked fleets prepared to engage the enemy fleet on both sides.

OOC@SS Speaking of huge fleets out of midair. Where's the RP thead in which you spend trillions of dollars to get a hundred ships to attack me? One would think that getting all those ships together would attact some attention. Particularly if you've had to threaten people. With the intel networks and all the gossip that has to fly around XSS1, this attack should be no suprise.
OOC@Balgorra: Star Zero contacted all her allies when we blew up the stealth ships.

The Imperial Taskforce had already assumed Box Alpha guardian positions around Tiffany Point when the battle erupted (think of a box being formed with the SDs at the vertices and centers with Tiffany Point in the middle):
"Captain," came the shout of a junior officer on the bridge of the Allegiance, "Sensors are picking up a large force of hostile ships that have just entered into close proximity with the station."
Captain Frillian stood silently for a moment as he decided their course of action. "How many?"
"A couple hundred by first count, mostly frigates and corvettes..." the officer replied. Another moment of silence passed as the Captain still debated on what to do next, however, the officer was becoming nervous and impatient, "Captain!"
"I heard you!" Captain Frillian replied sternly, the junior officer seeming to cower. "Alert the Admiral and the Council of the situation. Maintain ships in Guardian positions and have them launch all missile defense systems to protect the station. Scramble the fighters and begin powering up the gravity wells..."
The young officer saluted and quickly hurried to carry out the Captain's orders. Soon they were being carried out and hundreds upon hundreds of fighters were exiting the star destroyers and storming towards the battle...

Charging Underspace Engine. Reported Djehuty. Deep in the warship, the solid state Underspace motivator shifted from this reality unto unreality.
"Standby for shortrange Underspace Jump! All hands brace!" Ordered the captain. The ship lurched into movement - dragged towards the gas giant by some unseen hand. And suddenly, brilliantly, the gaping, impossible red maw of Underspace swallowed her entire bulk whole.
The Valkyrie was in the thick of it, belching swarms of projectiles and glittering salvoes of smart missiles, vomiting chaffe and jamming targeting, and throwing its gigantic bulk about. Here and there, some munitions escaped, and were either snatched from the sky by the odd tungsten slug, or smashing against the hardened ceramal plate of the ship's secondary hull. Suffice to say, she was living up to her reputation and name.

The First and Second Fleets were comprised of primarily Missile Cruisers. These large rectangular craft were equipped with a cloaking device based on the Type I that SeaQuest donated. They were only 2 dozen, but they were enough.
The two forces spread out and staggered themselves alongside the Armada. Upon the signal from Tiffany Point a single crusier uncloaked and fired a volley of missiles. The Crusier carried 120 missile tubes on each side, with a very quick reload time. The Crusier targeted multiple ships, firing 20 anti-ship missiles per ship. After she finished firing, the Crusier cloaked again.
Tiffany Point was sending a message.
ATTENTION ATTACKING FLEET!
A second cruiser decloaked on the opposite side of the Armada and fired her fierce volley of missiles.
YOU ARE ATTACKING A PEACEFUL PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT AT WAR WITH YOU
A third cruiser, near the same area as the first one, fired her volley.
WE ARE FIGHTING TO PROTECT OUR HOME....FOR WHAT DO YOU FIGHT??
A fourth cruiser...
IS IT REALLY WORTH FIGHTING FOR? IS IT WORTH DYING FOR?
A 5th and 6th Crusier from both sides fire thier volleys.
AND...YOU WILL DIE...
The 7th and 8th Crusiers
TURN BACK.
All around the Armada, the Star Zero ships would cloak, fire, and decloak. It would seem to the enemy that there were countless ships lined up against them. And the farther they advanced, the more the cannons of Tiffany Point would blast them into the nothingness of space.

Several destroyers and frigates took direct hits and were knocked out of the battle, however the wall of debris protected them from many hostile rounds, but at the rate of fire... many came through. Besides the lose of 14 ships, the bulk of the important ships remained, the Rail Bomber Frigates...
The Rail Bombers began to loaded their cannons with a special round, the Tactical Range Detonating High Explosive Radioactive Railgun Round [sorry for the long name]. The guns targeted the Xeno and Star Zero forces, and fired the rounds at .5 SoL, pushing the frigates back with enormous force. Their engines went to full thrust, but they wouldn't get them back into line for another 20 minutes. 78 rounds at gone out at Xeno and Star Zero, the others would be hit if in range, but were not targeted intentionally. IC: A ship, the Old Paris, took the hit. An emegency signal went to the command ship, inform them of a ramming. This was somewhat vital, a cloaking ship designed to ram. The enemy would have some trouble removing itself from the Old Paris, and they were both moving away from the main battlegroup. Kro Jenet onboard his flagship did not hesitate, he opened a file on his account and selected the Old Paris. A button sat, displaying the Sebecean word for Exicute, he touched it, and where the Old Paris was, was now the bright white light of a Pulse Bomb. It was the device placed on all of the ships so that the Sebeceans would be assured of control [along with the families of the crewmen].

OOC: Correct me if I'm wrong, but basicly the railgun thing is just a really powerful cannon round with some radioactive crap thrown in to make it worse?
IC:
Again, the New Mexico at the forefront of combat would begin to take hits. The ship seemed to stagger somewhat as several rounds dug into its armor belts. One shot luckily managed to find a missile wound, and weakened armor and penetrated into the flank of the warship. A little bit of gas could be seen escaping from the wound briefly, before emergency blast doors came down to close that particular armor wound off.
Onboard the New Mexico, the Captain was looking out over the CIC with its holomap projection of the battlefield. "Roll to protect the port side, broadside to starboard. I want a full spread of White Tiger anti-ship missiles in ninety seconds."
An engineer looked up from his control center, ~M'am. Deck six, section sixty-eight, port flank has been breached. That is storage for non-essentials. Sensors are indicating radiation but the area has been sealed off. No casulties reported in that section, but the crew of Swarm pod seven is dead, the ammunition in the belt went up from that first salvo.~
The New Mexico was turning to its left, presenting the undamaged starboard side to the enemy for a full broadside attack. It would roll slightly, and a salvo of 12 White Tiger anti-ship missiles launched. These missiles sped 'downwards' at first, at an angle away from the enemy. They went on for perhaps 5 kilometers, then tilted back 'upwards' again to speed up to full thrust on orders of their weapons officers. In this way, they are going around the flak field laid down by the Xenos, and driving 'upwards' towards the belly of the 6 different ships that they are targeting. 2 per ship.
The White Tiger is of course, a multi-ton warhead designed not to explode until several hundreds of a second after impact, sort of like a bunker-buster, so they go off INSIDE their target instead of on the surface.
In addition to the White Tigers, the New Mexico was still pounding away with those naval autocannons, directing rounds towards whatever target availed itself.
***
The Knight and Pilum had both taken hits from the railguns, the Pilum had just barely been grazed twice and observed several other near-misses, with one direct hit on the bow that ripped open armor. It gamely continued to fire its pair of naval cannons though.
The Knight was less lucky, and took six hits scattered all over. The frigate was unable to do more than twist and turn under each hit, as more and more armor was torn apart. One of the large engines shuttered, then went out and the Knight was forced to turn away and limp back towards the other Xeno ships without being able to fire another salvo.
***
The California and the Washington battlegroups were within range now, and they also would add to the streams of cannon fire with their own guns. Another wave of White Tigers were launched, along with some White Shark torpedos. In total, 24 White Tiger anti-ship missiles and 18 White-Tiger torpedos were fired at the enemy fleet from the two battlegroups, in addition to what the New Mexico had salvo'd.

Tiffany Point detected the railgun launch. The speed and size of the railgun round triggered Tiffany Point's automatic anti-ram defences. Swarms of missiles exited Tiffany Point at a high rate of speed towards the incoming rounds.
The missiles didn't have long to travel, almost as soon as they reached outside the station the missiles collided with the round. Night became day explosions lit up the night sky. The rounds were slowed from the impact, but they still managed to hit the station's sheilds.
On the bridge, the Crew was hanging on as the impact.
"Damage Report!", demanded the Captain.
"Sheilds holding at 75%"
An explosion rocked the screen. Old Paris had just exploded.
Captain Starfox gazed at his command screen intently. "Order the 1st and 2nd Fleet to engage those bombers. Mass Salvo from underneath. Fire Contol, target the largest ship in that fleet. Full Salvo."
Tiffany Point, as if angry at the last attack, sent deep powerful streams deep into the vastness of space stiking out at the largest ship in the armada.
In the hangar bay, Jason Maverick was getting ready to launch his Star Viper Sqaudron. Crewman flurried about the various craft.
Mav, your callsign will be Dagger One. You're escort the Dropships on thier bombing runs.
Maverick was busy with preflight checks, Rodger, understood
All crewman clear the launch bay. All crewman clear the launchbay.
The large doors of the hangar opened revealing the monstrosity of battle.
Dagger Flight, this is Dagger One. Launch in 15 seconds.
The Viper's engines purred with anticipation.
Dagger One you are cleared to launch
12 Star Vipers cleared the hanger before activating thier cloaks. Following them, 3 flights of Exile Fighters, and 6 Flights of Intruders left Tiffany Point hell bent on destruction.

Farther out, the 24 Missile Cruisers were heading full power towards their prey. The enemy bombers had been driven back by the blast quite a distance, but it would only be a moments before they were back in range. With reloading procedures completed, the cruisers lined up in an reverse arrow formation to attack.
Only one ship would decloak at at time and fire before cloaking again. The another ship would decloak and fire. Each Crusier has 120 tubes on each side, both of which fired all missiles simulantous in a full salvo towards the bomber ships. The missiles would travel beneath the ship and come back up at high speeds penetrating the ships hull before exploding. The Crusier quickly moved away from it's firing point to avoid retribution.

The tide of tha battle was changing. Many frigates and destroyers were crippled, and a few tried to escape, but Jenet denotated the bombs on their ships. Their families would be exicuted for their disloyalty.
A few of the other ships hit their engines to full, and were prepared to ram the nearest enemy. Jenet ordered his flagship to do the same as he sent an encrypted message out to the Emperor and another.
I, Trust, that you will be successful and avenge our deaths.
Most of the other ships met their end quickly, the battle was over.

My People and Allies, we have once again defending the planet from tyranny. To our allies, we have once again defending freedom thanks in large part to your help. On behalf of my people, we thank you.
Once off the air Cutter swore. She was tired of having to depend on the kindness of her freinds to defend her own turf. Hell, she was tired of war in general. There must be someway to protect Star Zero from invasion.
This was a decent test, and it showed off some of the weaknesses of Tiffany Point. It could take on small battlegroups rather easily, but a massive armada had proved troublesome.

Some of the hull armor will have to be replaced. No inner hull breaches detected. Hanger bay doors are jammed. All in all, we didn't take as much damage as we could have as the merc fleet were concentrating most, if not all, their fire on the others. That allowed us to devote more power to the weapon arcs."

Using the data we got of your previous battles with craft of Setian-Sebeceans origin, we were able to add them to our ship database. Though, when compared to the known Setian-Sebeceans ship designs, none of the ships that made up the fleet that was just defeated was of any of them. This leads us to believe that they were merc ships sent in to either learn our tactics, soften us up for another wave, or a combination of those things. Our scans are indicating surviors in the wreckage. Would it be agreable to you if we picked them up for questioning?

The Knight limped its way with about 2/3rds thrust back to the California and Washington battlegroups. The Pearl Harbor would then glide in to join the New Mexico battlegroup to replace the heavily damaged frigate.
The Knight would then sputter to a halt near Tiffany Point, damage control teams deploying in EVA suits to start trying to plug up some of the holes for a hyperjump back to Polaris.
As the Imperial Taskforce had hung back to defend Tiffany Point from missiles and boarders, it had not been engaged in direct contact and thus not recieved any damage.
However, the hundreds of TIE Ghosts that had been launched from the Star Destroyers were not filtering back into the hangar bays. Technical crews began working on their repairs as soon as they touched down, however they still had a majority of their fighter compliments ready for launch should the occasion arise.
"Status report?" Captain Frillian asked calmly to his aide.
"Sir, fifteen Ghosts reported lost in combat; fourty-three more sustained minor damage."
"Very well. Send the transmission to Tiffany Point."

The Valkyrie's sextet of engines (the other three had been knocked out by an errant kinetic blast) flared to life, pitching it towards Tiffany Point at a careful 200 kilometres per second, it's own advanced (Although, nothing like Djehuty/Soter, nowhere near it's incredible capacity) AI calculating the trajectory, velocity, and all other extraneous needs for this ever so sensitive manuever. However, even AIs can't anticipate all damage.
The second engine bank's strong light began to pulse and gutter. It cursed internally and opened a channel.
Valkyrie to Tiffany Point control - I'm reading a fluctuation in engine bank two - probably a damaged power core.
I'm switching it off now to prevent radiation and any further damage. The problem is I won't have enough power to reverse the inertia.
I am initiating the turnover now and altering course, but there's too much inertia. Could you help?
The AI initiated the turnover, the over kilometre long warship flipping end for end, manuevering thrusters compensating for the single bank of engines. Internally it counted the nanoseconds, the seconds, and the velocity with what could be described as anticipation or dread. Or both.

“The Empire graciously accepts the offer of embassy grounds but we would like to also have offices aboard Tiffany point and in the colony below. I understand this is not your policy and would request you read this through before answering.”
“Under international law, all embassy grounds are considered an extension of the nation which established it. If someone were to attack an embassy, it would be the same as attacking the nation itself.”
“It is for this reason we would like to establish office space upon the station and the colony as well as our Embassy Grounds. Since these offices would be considered part of the Embassy itself, they would fall under the same international considerations, even if they were never used.”
“If you were to grant this request, please place the offices in undetermined locations so nobody would know of their specific locations, thus making it hard not to accidentally target them during an attack.”
“If you do this, the Balrogga Empire would be justified having to send additional ships to assist in guarding the three locations against attacks. This would mean a larger force from the Empire here to assist you in the case of another attack.”
“Please consider these words carefully when you decide upon this request. If it is turned down, I completely understand and will not take any offense.”

Tiffany, whilst repairs are being performed, and the engines are off, I present an easy target. Suggest if an attack commences, that you jettison me and use my bulk as a shield. If it gets overwhelming I'll jump out, but it's better to be of some use than somnolent and dead without firing a single gun.
Kasimians, and their AIs, were of like mind when it came to warfare - either do the job or die trying.

Message sent shortly after receiving the great news from Star Zero
Thank you very much. I have a pretty good idea how much you had to bend the rules for this. I will send for additional ships to help guard the Empire’s interests here. They should be arriving soon. If you want them stationed somewhere, please let me know and I will forward your instructions to them enroute.
If you can think of any other good ideas, feel free to come and discuss them.

This is Ambassador Br’Ton. Our hosts have graciously expanded our embassy grounds so we need additional ships for protection from hostilities. Please send two more contingencies and a command ship for the area.
Due to the hostile neighbors in this area, I would also wish to advise C&C to assign this system a class B priority so additional ships could be pulled in case an attack was to take place.
The Embassy grounds have been prepped and are ready for the standard package to arrive.

As the highest ranking representative of the SeaQuestian Empire in system, I was wondering if it would be permissible with you if the nation of SeaQuest set-up a mining outpost on one of the outer planets or moons. We would gladly pay for this via money, a share of the mined materials, or something else of your choosing. We would also like the privilage of setting up an embassy here. We await your reply on both matters.

Greetings. On orders of my commanders I am too ask of you if it would be plausible to set up a Imperial ground base on the planet below; a place where we could set up a small command base and deploy our ground forces (droids, soldiers, land vehicles, etc.) Preferably on a small island where we could secure the area quickly. Please respond as soon as possibly with your answer, whatever it may be.

We would be willing to set up the mining operation wherever it didn't conflict with your own mining interests. As for the embassy, I will have the I.S.S. [OOC: Here goes]
IC: The Battle Fleet of the Emperor, the largest fleet ever assembled since the Battle of Nines in the first system war. But even than, the ships were not the size of these. However large, they were ready- 100 Million Bio-mem Soldiers. The fleet was waiting for the order, High Command and the Emperor looked at plan after plan. Some ranged from finding the Xeno homeworld, to attacking XSS1 itself, but it was this plan that they had selected.
As the Higarius' Eye [Star] rose to reveal the Battle Fleet hiding behind Higar Prime, where they hid, a signal was received by the warships. It was in a obscure Sebecean Dialect, Military Code... it told them to initiate the plan. The ships began cycling their massive subspace drives, and within 5 minutes they were gone.
_____________
System 84510: Star Zero Native
On the edge of the system, a quarter of the Battle Fleet lumbered it. They did not care if they were heard, in fact they wanted to be. They engines and sheer size would set sensors off. They were ready for any bend in the plan, and they had all weapons loaded, with a fighter cloud escorting the ships.
On of the ships was different however, it was a ComCom [Command and Communications], its massive arrays say ever EM and gravitational signature in the system, even dust. But it did not care about that now, instead it acted as a communications blinder. It emmited pure loud EM, Subspace, and FTL noise- someone could scream, but no one would hear.

OOC: Just as a note, the Xeno ships are shielded against and prepared to deal with EM, as noted on the arms thread.
IC:
In the time between the first battle and the arrival of this new armada, the Xenos had made repairs to their ships' armor. Only the Knight still showed battle damage, and that was just unpainted armor that had been recently installed over one wounded flank.
The Xeno warships would wait, however. Trying to fire across the length of an entire solar system is just too much. (Even an object moving at 10 miles per second would take years to get from Earth to Saturn..)
Certainly, they were scanning some, and laser-based communications flickered back and forth between the Xeno warships. A few burst transmissions of laser communications would be sent to Tiffany Point, but the Xeno weren't sure if they had the proper communications sytems to operate on laser-base.

The Emperors ship was still landed, his custom regeneration was almost complete, but he could care less about that. His forces were in position and the battle would star soon.
System 84510: Star Zero Native
The warships' railguns were in range at halfway across the system. They're speed was barely the speed of light. They were relatively small, only 5 in wide and two feet long. They were pure slugs, but at that speed they didn't need explosives, and the charge from ejection and travel would be a major discharge.
As the ships moved forward, their massive rail cannons targeted at Tiffany Point and the power stations on the planet below. They made some final adjustments so the rounds would hit their target. Energy was building up, and the fighter cloud moved behind the ships. Once everything was ready, they fired... all of them, every rail cannon of every ship fired sending 300 rounds out.

Zero Point Orbit
Even at.. the speed of light, distances here are incredible. Half a system away. The launches would be noted of course, but it would take a very long time before the guns even became a threat.
(It takes light from the sun 8 minutes to reach the earth. Lets tack on say, half a system.. that means another eh, 40 minutes or so added on for the length of 'half a system')
And by the fifty minutes or so later when the shells arrived, the Xeno warships had simply slipped beneath the spread of ammunition, which would continue along on its way past, towards the system's center and its sun.
All three of the Xeno battleships launched White Shark and White Tiger torpedos and missiles on air compression alone, letting them drift forward slowly, unguideded and as "dead in the water" as any other space debris. Infact, they would even be pulled into an orbit around Zero Point's moon, where they drifted.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
Captain Starfox was on the bridge when the alert came in.
"SIR! Enemy Fleet has jumped in at Edge Sector 92-23-00", reported the Operation Officer. "They appear to be jamming most of our sensors. We still reading thier mass shadow."
Captain Starfox took a glance at the command screen. His thinking was interuppted by another alarm.
"SIR! Enemy Fleet has fired high speed railguns. 300 Rounds incoming. ETA 40min."
Captian Starfox gave an order, "Engineering, move us into higher orbit!"
The thrusters on Tiffany Point began to ignite, and the station slowly drifted upwards. It was by no means quick, but with a good half hour until impact, Tiffany Point had more than enought time to clear the projected path of the unguided weapons. They would burn harmlessly into the atmosphere.
The XO reported with a twinge of regret, "That won't work twice sir."
Starfox nodded, "Launch all fighters. Move the Fleet into defensive positions."
Fighters began to swarm form Tiffanty Point, meanwhile the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Fleets began to orbit to build a wall between the enemy forces and Tiffany Point.

"Sir, we are tracking a massive inbound fleet across the system. They fired a volley but we are out of the attack zone," reported a private to Captain Frillian.
"Very well. Disengage the FTLi and divert the power to the shields and weapons."
"Yes, sir!" the private said as he turned to carry out the orders.
"Oh, and private... launch the swarm," Frillian ordered as the private stopped abruptly to listen.
"Aye, sir!"
A few minutes later the Captain's orders were being carried out as the FTLi was depowered and the shields and weapons were increased. From every ship in the taskforce fighters began deploying and they soon formed what was known as the Swarm: a 1500 fighter attack force.

The massive form of the Preserver dissapeared into F.T.L. transit only to reapear behind the Setian-Sebeceans a few moments later. As soon as she reappeard, the massive SeaQuestian vessel opened fire with a barrage of weapons blast. The space between the Eclipse class Super Star Destroyer and the Setian-Sebeceans was soon filled with a rainbow of energy bolts as the Preserver fired her Heavy Laser Cannons, Turbolaser Batteries, and Ion Cannons.
Setian-Sebeceans
12-02-2006, 03:15
The fleet was ready for anything, and the flanking of it was on of those things. As the Super Star Destroyer came out behind the fleet, in the fighter cloud, two of the fractionally smaller Eveii Moon's [assuming your SSD is about the same size as Vader's] turned around. Their polar shields causes most energy bolts to get deflected to the poles and off into space. Rounds that hit caused little damage, with the ships active 'immune' system grabbing the energy and sending it to on of the ESMs [Energy Sink Manifolds]. The ESMs began to dump the energy into the ship's core, or out into spaces as heat.
The Command Battlecruisers [CBC] than began emitting a cloud of what appeared to be dust. The cloud moved around the ship giving it a slight glow. Several cannons on the ship dettached and moved freely in the cloud. Arcs of energy flowed from the ship through the cloud to the cannons, and the cannons glowed and fired a powerful Electro-Static charge at the SSD. The cloud grabbed energy from shots fired at it, and sent it to the cannons.
The CBCs continued to turn as they picked up an energy build up in the ship. They began sliding on the 'x-axis' coming to the side of the SSD, they still had their Rail guns loaded... and at this range it would be devestating.
OOC: ESMs can be over powered:: when overwhelmed and they cannot dump energy fast enough they must be ejected or they detonate. They either dump energy as heat, light, or it is sent to the reactors. They are really our 'shields' and the more you fire, they more we fire back. They are useless against kenetic weapons.
The cloud is a cloud of 'nanites' that act as another line of defense against energy and kenetic weapons. They tend to push unknown objects towards the poles, so indirect hits will be gained. They, however increase a ships visibility and must be dumped when jumping or going into steath mode. They provide power for orbiting weapon systems.
All new Sebecean ships are using some amount of active defense: flak, ESMs, 'The Cloud' [larger ships only] and a 'immune system' that allocates repairing materials to repair standard battle damage when no combat is occuring.

Goodluck and Godspeed Dagger One
Jason Maverick, Dagger One, launched his Star Viper Starfighter. The stealth starfighter was undectecable by most sensors, and it's unique shape caused it to give off a very small mass shadow. The rest of the fighters would cling to Tiffany Point while his men made a deep strike at the enemy fleet. The carried anti-capital ship weapons in thier bellies in order to take out the source of the enemy radar jamming. They'd have to rely mostly on visual targeting, but with the target being such a big ship it would not be a problem.
"Dagger Group, this is One. Prepare for micro-jump on my mark. 5...4...3...2...1...Mark!"
Maverick was rocked as his Viper flew in and out of subspace. The jump had dropped them danger close to the enemy fleet.
"Dagger Group, REPORT!"
"This is Two - Three here - Four Reporting In - Dagger Five Preparing for Attack Run - Dagger Six on route - Seven, Rodger Out - Eight here, I got your tail sir - Dagger Nine I've spotted the target -

Dagger Group, this is Dagger One. Spread out and prepare to launce your warheads on my mark.
Each fighter was only carring two warheads. The first set of warheads were uniquly designed to take out captial ship systems such as sheild generators, communications equipment, sensors, and all other componets which had to ride on the outside of the ship. They worked in the same manner a grenade would. Upon launch, the warhead would launch dozens of micro-missiles towards the system that was generating the most EM signatures. Since the ComCom ship was emmitting all kinds of signals, the arrays would be instanly targeted. The micro-missile contained a small amount of anit-matter which would be cause massive outpouring of energy once the missile hit. Which one missile would not do too much, the swarm that Dagger Group was about to unleash was nothing to scoff at.
Maverick checked his screens once again. Everyone was in position.

From every direction, the starfighters of Dagger Group unleashed thier warheads at the ComCom Ship.

The ComCom's CIWS went online. Autocannons fired thousands of rounds a second, targeting the warheads. The AC rounds were smart rounds and detonated at a certian range. Many of the warheads were taken out, but a few made in through, and the ComCom had time for a single scream. Every device emitted an encrypted message, and as it stopped a warhead hit the ComCom, and than three more. Rocking the ship, and putting it out of commission... but the damage had been done.
The data scream of the ComCom was a virus that was programmed to work on Xeno and Star Zero communications systems. It was made after capturing several of their fighters, and learning their code. It was a symbiant virus, and no-one would know it was there until it was to late. It is adaptive and methodical, like its creators...

Dagger Group had lucked out in getting one clear shot at the ComCom ship before hundreds of fighters began pouring out of the various SS warships.
Dagger One, this is Ten...They're all over me! How can they see me?, asked one of the newer pilots.
"Calm Down Ten, it's the ComCom Ship.", transmitted Maverick as he boosted in order to get clear of the ComCom ship and the impending explosions. "Just make your attack runs and we'll be out of here soon.
Maverick targeted an incoming group of fighters and fired. The stealth fighter decloaked as he did so, but the lasers could fire in almost any direction.
Dagger Group. There are too many fighters. Lauch warheads and head out.
An explosion ripped through space. He had lost Ten. The other fighters wern't doing so hot ethier.
Dagger Group, get clear and warp out.
They had done thier job for the moment.
Beep-Beep
They had just lost Four and Eight.
Beep-Beep
Two, Three, and Six had just jumped.
Maverick glanced to his right to see a group of six fighters on the Seven's tail. He rolled his craft and began to fire bursts of laser fire at the attackers. They broke off and began to turn towards him. Seven warped out.
Time to go.
Maverick rolled his craft again and hit the hyperdrive. Moments later he was back within gun range of Tiffany Point.
Dagger Group Report!
"Two Here - Dagger Three Reporting In - Dagger Six Rodger - This is Seven, I'm damaged pretty bad, but I'll make it. -"
Maverick waited.
"....."
Maverick sighed as he flew into the hanger. Eight pilots was way too many to lose.

OOC: I'd like to add to that, the Xeno accept scans and information to arrays that are not connected to the primary systems onboard the Xeno warships. I've roleplayed this before. The communications/scanners and such send and recieve information, and that information is filtered through another communication system, which simply paints targets into other warfare systems. Basicly, you could infect some of the arrays, (I don't see how, since they're not DOWNLOADING any information) but it wouldn't affect the war-making capabilities or any other system.

OOC: All the large ships are the same class, and there are alot of them... you did think I would sit around and do nothing knowing your ships capabilities...
IC: The Liebtes was in the path of the superlaser. The ships defenses acted as they should, and some of the energy was deflected of to the poles of the ship. The rest energy took a direct hit, alot of energy was absorbed by the ship's 'Cloud', making it glow white. The remaining energy hit the hull, causing a sizeable dent in the ship's thick armor as the tons of raw energy was sent to the ESMs. One of the ESMs was ejected, and it looked like a star as it gave off its energy. Some of her armor ejected itself too.
The Liebtes was hurt, but still functional, and she turned around to bare on the SSD. Her arc cannons fired with intense power, and her Chaotic Gravity Cannons fired aswell. As she fired, she pulled herself back to the gate, which was now protected by new class of active defenses. The two other CBCs continued to fire along the side of the SSD. The other parts of the fleet moved away from the firing zone of the SSD.
The two CBCs, move closer to the SSD, they began to breach shields, and when shields had been breached the CBCs fired harpoons into the SSD. They would pump toxins and nanites to attack the crew and ship. Marines would be soon to follow.
The ComCom had seen the minute EM and gravity signatures of the fighter, long before. They had let them come close, for a fleet Symbiant Fighters would tear them to peices. As the enemy fighters came out of cloak, the Symbiants were firing their Autocannons at them, aiming for engines and power. They may have had 1,500 of them, but their were still 20,000 Symbiants who had never learned to walk, but to fly.

It's getting pretty hot out there, Captain. Sighed Djehuty, the Valkyrie's Underpsace transmitter pulsing battle reports back to the Mjolnir. And also reporting something within the communications and ECM spilling from the battle. Djehuty began to go disseminate immediately, using what knowledge he did have of basic Xeno code architecture. It wasn't enough to properly identify it. But it was enough to tell the AI it was not normal, or native.
Hells. Subversion Intelligence. Valkyrie - Send this to Tiffany. The AI sent a hastily created avatar program, and Valkyrie's AI responded accordingly.

The Virus began shutting down communications systems. It was filtering data and sending encrypted packets for approval to pass on to the crew. It was expanding as much as possible, but in that time it embedded itself into several parts which it would be hard to erase. It wasn't doing enough to warrent attention of the crews of the ships, instead it was looking to spread... and it found a simple path for reproduction... the power systems.

Djehuty waited for the AVATAR program to complete uploading, impatient, concerned.
Tiffany Point's memory buffer completed uploading the AVATAR, Valkyrie reporting ready for the transfer. Suddenly, instead of the gaping, screaming madness of Underspace, thick and velvety and decidely wrong, the AI was aboard the Valkyrie, the ship's AI going dormant as Djehuty assumed its place.
First order of business: Damage assessment.
Main thrust assemblies damaged. Core fractures and a missile magazine compromised. His human counterpart had done his job admirably, whilst his AI underling had shut down and secured the damage. Internal comm traffic from repair crews and such informed him of the nature of the damage. The core fractures were troubling, but sealant and gentle handling would probably prevent an unstable reaction. Not so the missile magazine - the electro-myomar loading system had siezed and knotted, the synthetic muscle paralysed, and its control system was sending null feedback signals. Well. He had twenty more magazines. The engines were just this side of total overhaul. The main drive units could be revived, but it'd take hours. Which they didn't have.
Djehuty was surprised to find that his underling had already expressed to Tiffany that the Valkyrie was to be used like a heavily armed and armoured shield. Not only that, but the Captain had agreed whole heartedly, running arming drills and loadouts, the crew ready to destroy any interloper that dared attack.
Valiant, if somewhat suicidal.
Thus aware, he turned to Tiffany, and groped for a communications link.
Tiffany Point. This is Djehuty. I've transferred from Mjolnir to Valkyrie. My AVATAR program is a safe encryption package, and I need further instructions. The AVATAR program will ensure our communications remain secret. It contains the decryption and encryption key required. Respond immediately.

OOC: This virus was only sent to ships using Xeno or Star Zero software... it wouldn't work with anyother, since it would be unlikely that two different space nations would use the same computer code. The virus is also a Sentiant seeding virus, you only to send the seed with the compatible code, and the virus with grow and become sentiant and aware. The ComCom sent the data out, and the virus is not compatible with Sebeceans computers which use a different and unique code.

The Washington
A sensor tech in the forward, number 3 scanning room looked over her shoulder to her superior officer, "Lieutenant, we are experiencing .. irregularities in the code on our software. I sent a request to scanner number 2 for the latest range estimates to Zero Point's moon, but I haven't been able to get a response. The line is filled with static."
The officer stepped over, plugged her headset into the console and listened to the odd white noise. "We weren't hit, there's no way we lost our entire number 3 array. Wait." She then picked up a hardline telephone and dialed a 4 digit number, which was answered at number 2 scanner.
"Number two scan array."
"Have you recieved our messages from number three scan array?"
"No. Are you sending us something?"
"Just a query for range on the moon."
"We'll send it now."
"Don't. It's not going to go through. Keep us updated through the hard line, but it looks like we caught some kind of bug."
An engineer would be sent for, while offboard communications/scanning arrays all around the Xeno fleet discovered they could no longer talk to other ships except by short range radios.
A few minutes later, a Xeno engineering team arrived at scanner #3, opening up the panel on the side of the server, he confirmed that nothing was damaged. Behind him, another tapped away at his keyboard, looking at the scripting of the query program. ~It's some sort of malignant bug. It can't get into the shipboard systems since we're not plugged into anything. But I don't think I can get rid of this..~
The Lieutenant was talking on the hardline, "Yes Captain. Yes sir. No sir. We cannot talk to the rest of the fleet at the moment with our electronics, and the laser comms aren't responding. No sir. No sir. They're working on it now. Yes sir. Aye aye sir." Then she hung up the phone. "Okay. We're going to communicate with the rest of the fleet with flip-lamps for now. Our orders stand. Weapons systems are functioning, and they can track targets just fine. Our job is to get these damned comms working again."
She looked at the engineering team, "Shut it down, tear it apart.. do what you gotta do."

The ship's structure shook as the Setian-Sebeceans concentrated fire on the Presever.
"Report!"
"Multiple enemy ship's have concentrated their fire on us."
"Shield status!?"
"Holding at five percent below maximum. Enemy fire is just enough to cancel out shield regeneration."
Sparks flew as a conduit ruptured from the strain being put on the ship.
"Return fire at will."
"Aye, ma'am."
The same conduit as before began leaking coolant.
"Seal that leak!"
"On it!"

Enemy weapon fire continued to slam into the shields. Projectiles creating small explosions as their energy was spent. The giant ship came about and began pouring weapons fire into the enemy fleet. "Send them a signal informing them of the situation and let them decide if they want to send aide or not. The Preserver is defending an ally not affiliated with either group and this can't be counted as an attack on SeaQuestian space."
"Neither was the attack from Ankhmet and you remember what happened then."
"True, but the ship that was attacked wasn't a combat ship-of-the-line."
"Still, we should let the others to know to be at least on stand-by near the fight if needed."
"Agreed. Send the transmission. Let them know its on them if they decide to engage the enemy of their own accord."

"Dagger One, this is Four, Target coming up on screens now."
"Rodger Four, Dagger Group:Attack formation: Full Speed"
The craft split off in different directions at high rates of speed and began to surround the Gate Builder. They were cloaked and letting The Swarm engage the enemy fighters. It should give them a clear shot for their next volley.
Mav rolled his fighter and lined up the targeting computer. The closer he could get the better shot he would have. The Nuetron Bomb was the largest ordinance the Viper could carry and it slowed down the Viper consideribly. The sole reason it was the Viper making the run was that the Viper could cloak and had a better chance of escaping.

The Viper's decloaked as their missile bays opened up. A single black casket left and fired it's rockets at the lumbering Gate Builder.

The past few weeks, Abh communication posts had been quite busy with diplomatic invitations, rumors of an unexplored Sord, and the like. Every now and then, a battle signal would creep in asking for help. Here, the standard procedure would take over. A courier would be chosen to take the message to the Emperor via Communications ship through the nearby sord.
So it was within the hour that the message had been delivered to Emperor Dubeusec. The recording was played out on the courier's clyuno as Dubeusec sat on the throne.
"Thank you pilot trainee. You may take your leave now and get some rest before you return to your post."
The woman saluted. "Thank you your majesty."
With a wave of his hand over a blue gem on his arm panel, screen appeared infront of the throne displaying the Abh crest. "Get me Admiral Abriel."
There was a silence for a moment until the screen activated on the otherside to reveal the one-eyed Abh saluting the Emperor. "Your majesty, what can I do for you?"
"Admiral Gaf'ton, it seems we have a situation on our hands with a certain allied nation. Star Forces has not seen action in some time now which is a wonder for us. I trust all troops are still constantly being drilled?"
"Yes your highness. Another battle simulation has just concluded which explains my tardiness. What is it that the Empire asks of me?"
Dubeusec smirked with blue eyes shining back. "It's time to stop playing war again. I want you to take several ships from the new fleet and move to standby in Hyperspace should SeaQuest ask for aid."
The gruff voice came back somewhat urgent. "But your highness, Lord Rahl's men are the ones most accustomed to these new ships. Surely they would be best for this."
"Indeed you are right but I know your men have trained on them as well. In which case I want your men to experience the same. You are to also have several D'Haran soldiers with you in case things get uncivilized and boarding parties take place."
The Admiral saluted. "I understand your highness. Imperial Admiral Abriel out."
The D'Haran system contained the second largest naval port in the Abh Empire and here is where most of the new ships were being built. Parts of the Symphonic Fleet were already out in action but the bulk was still in port. Here the Admiral broke his men into groups so that they would man a variety of ships along with several D'Haran escorts. The small squadron (by Abh standards) roared to life along with its fighter escort and slipped into Hyperspace speeding towards the last transmission of SeaQuestian forces.

“Who is attacking?”
"The invader fleet is at the edge of the system shooting long range railgun attacks. So far, Tiffany Point has maneuvered out of the way because of the slow speed of the attack coupled with the distance but as they close…”
“I see. Have the ships posted between the attacker and out embassy on Tiffany Point.”
“Where are the Imperial Offices?”
“That information is classified. Protect the whole station. Use shields or return fire on any incoming shots that will hit. If they get too close, I authorize singularity shielding but only as a last resort. Keep several Kilometers between the station and our battlegroup. I don’t want our mass affecting their operations.”

If any of our relayed messages got through, some of SeaQuest's allies would have forces on stand-by in case we need them. A trump card if you will.
OOC: S.S., no way you are going to break this code (even if you somehow manage to intercept it). Its a SeaQuestian battle code modified in such a way that it only auto-decodes when the time is right (kind of a basic A.I. in a way) on computers marked by sender as friendly. Turns into a A.I. virus on computers designated as belonging to the foe. (I've had a while to work out all my moves for this battle.)
The Xeno
14-02-2006, 16:13
OOC: It is fluent. You're dealing with a system that doesn't adhere to one set archetype of programming - It's constantly learning about other cultures and their systems. If your virus does not have a code that's similar to the systems inside your ships - yet is created to connect with Xeno and Star Zero computer systems, there is a very very high likelihood that Djehuty will completely overrun it, seeing as Kasimian entry level software is similar to Xeno.
This was directed to Sebeacean.
OOC: Just as a sidenote, Xeno software generally runs based on the original Xeno language mixed with english. While what you are reading on the screen may be english, the coding is in Xeno. Which is sort of like visiting a French website which has a translation program, written in Javascript in the French language. Considering your computer has never had access to Xeno software (Or Star Zero software as far as I know) I don't see how it can "learn" anything about our computer systems.
For a computer to "learn" about other cultures, it would need to have data imputed about said culture. It's not psychic. It's not just going to look at a radio signal and say.. "Suddenly.. I know everything." since a radio message is just a radio message. It'd be like looking at the cover of a book, and then claiming you know the story within.
People need to stop with this godmodding BS, it's getting old. =/
Hey SS, heh. Good thing you decided not to go after XSS1 bro. As stupid as this fight is going to become, with everyone and their mom jumping into the fight, it would have been so much worse at XSS1. There's about 20 nations with embassys there, they all would have 'heard' about it and came running in to fight.
The Xeno

OOC: How long do you think Djehuty's been around, tentatively learning culture, systems, and information otherwise sensitive? It does its homework. Kasimian AIs routinely share information they harvest unless otherwise specified. A Kasimian Hauler jumped into space near your Space Station. It's onboard AI was very active :P. It's got the data, and had the time and processing power to decipher it.
OOC: ACTUALLY. Being in the presence of XSS1 does NOT grant you access to its computer systems. That's stupid. You don't build a 6 trillion dollar space station, then have it constantly transmitting sensitive codes, or even ALLOWING its own communications to use anything other than a basic, universal binary code to communicate. You will NOT dictate to ME that your AI has broken into XSS1's systems. If you so much as tried that shit, the four Xeno battleships in the system would have turned whatever ship that tried into a cloud of dust.

To: Kasim Sul Nahr: The virus is sending data in packets that has a specific cypher on the ComCom. It does not follow Sebecean Code [It would be like trying to make IOIIIOOOIIOIOOO compatible with GTAACCTGCGTTA] and has not hint to what Sebecean code is.
To: Xeno: Thats why we didn't attack the XSS1
IC: The fighters that approached and attacked the Jumpgate, met a hail storm of fire. The active subspace hole was creating a gravity well, sucking rounds and missiles towards it, until they met the firery end of a Matter Shield around the gate. Most rounds detonated on the surface, but a few made it through in the fray, hitting the Pulse Dyridium hull, leaving a reddish glow on the surface. The glow was suddenly sucked away and could be seen as it was carried away. A petty attack that would just piss off a CBC was not enough to destroy a object even larger... it would take a whole lot more... and they only had 12 minutes.
The Ion cannons gave a few of the ESMs some trouble, but the thick armor had little equipment to be harmed. The ESMs sparked and sputtered, but they continued to labor for now. However, the CBC started to pump radioactive and corrosive materials into the SSD- some of which was reactor [nasty crap] and other waste products [use your imagination].
OOC: Most of our defense is geared to stop energy weapons, and a thick armor is about it for kenetic.

Polaris North Axis Command
The Knight hobbled into the Polaris system, days late due to the damaged hyperjump drives.
Hours later, onboard the Xeno flagship Pennsylvania, Fleet Admiral Kay was glowering at the reports displayed on his handheld. ~We have a frigate crippled, barely able to make it home and the New Mexico has also suffered moderate damage. And for what? The defeat of some pirate filth? If these enemies would fight with some honor, it might be worth it to scale up to an all-out war.~
Beside him, Colonel Mia nodded her head. "Yes sir. According to the information we recieved before the back-out, the invaders were sitting about half a system away sniping. Some of Star Zero's allies went out to attack them."
Kay hissed, ~Fools. The invaders have them outnumbered. You do not divide your force in the face of the enemy, especially when he outnumbers you. Sending out fighters and ships to engage early gains nothing. The invaders can mass their firepower. Send a message to the Zero Point Taskforce. Tell them to hold their positions and not to go chasing after fragments of the enemy military. The invaders will probably appear once enough of our allies have been distracted, except closer to the planet so they can begin landing soldiers.~
Mia looked up at the tall, sleek Xeno male and smiled. She touched his arm, "Sir, we've lost contact with the Zero Point Taskforce as of this morning. If we cannot gain communications with them by tommorow, I'm going to order a destroyer to investigate."

Gaf'ton nodded and then stood while drawing his command saber. "Issue the order to the entire fleet. Make a formal procession into normal space. Once all ships are accounted for, normal space fusion will commence. This will be an Abh battle and thus we will shape the battlefield to our liking."
His chief of staff saluted. "Right away sir."
Jump gates formed all along right wing of the SeaQuestian ship Preserver as the Symphonic Fleet began to form up. A substantial fighter support of star cutters and gunstars formed up to the rear of the fleet. It was an impressive turnout of Exiled Destroyers, Dissith Cruisers, and Urbanuss Flankers. The Admirals of the Battlefleet knew they would try this, therefore they had several tricks up their sleeve. If they had any scientists on board they should be expressing concern. I see we've reached a stalemate with our friends here. Subspace physics denote that without containment the tear will become unstable, either resulting in it becoming permanently stable, shrink down into a quantum singularity, or the third possibility... For its size, the 'fallout' would probably be catastrophic. Gravitational anomalies before and after could cause a sun within a lightyear radius to go supernova. Informed Djehuty, solid link with Tiffany Point confirmed, as within the Valkyrie men, women, and machines prepared for whatever came out of that lenticular, shining brilliance, far off in the distance. Almost pretty... Mused the AI, a shadow of a smile passing over its virtual face.
Of course, Subspace and Singularity based systems of travel aren't my forte. Underspace Travel is much safer. This is all still theory. I'd need time to study it, and the actual technology, before I could be completely sure of its potential.
Consider, the Sebeceans could be bluffing. They may have contingency systems designed to suppress the singularity before containment fails. It's conjecture, but very possible. Suggested the AI, as it surveyed the black and starry battlefield through various 'eyes'.

Deep within T-Space:
The 3rd Imperial battlegroup arrived. There was no other way to describe it other than they were just there. Dimensional drives were hard to describe in any language other than mathematics.
The group contained several combat vessels, all of them on full alert. Flight crews were readying the Proteus fighters while their pilots were undergoing combat briefings. Gunnery crews were running last minute diagnosis of their targeting systems to be sure they were calibrated to zero.
Aboard The Osirus, the Deity Class carrier, the bridge crew were busy coordinating the fleet while the Admiral double-checked the sensor readings with his Neurolink.
"I want all ships in position. When our interests are fired upon, we are authorized to enter combat. Order all ships to firing positions. Begin Avatar Reconstitution. Establish Space Minus Taps and charge all weapons, even the SGE's."
"Yes Sir, message distributed among the fleet."
“Deploy the Infiltrators and establish the Sensor Webs. I want to know everything we can before Avatar Deployment.”
“Relaying the order Sir.”
Moments later two Infiltrator Cruisers left formation, each heading to a specific location within the system but remaining in T-Space. Once arriving, eight smaller ships left the cruiser and established their own locations, linked to the cruiser and expanding the sensor range and efficiency.
“Sir, we are getting rudimentary readings already. It appears there is a warp rift being established. They are protecting it by placing a subspace bubble around it. They are either planning on using it as a beach head for an invasion or plan on imploding the rift, but that will cause a flashback on both ends.”
Most of the Battlegroup spread out in T-Space, positioning themselves according to the battleplan. Some took up position for assaulting the Gate, some for attacking the fleet, and others for support of the allied fleets and the planet itself.
“Tactical, analyze the situation and determine if there is something we can do to prevent both scenarios from happening? If not, make a contingency plan for stopping anything from reaching the colony.”
“Yes Sir.”
“And contact The Dimensional Mechanics Corp. to see if there is anything they can do to close the thing without destroying everything here.”

OOC: Yes you can- but... I will tell you that because of that the gate it is connected to is not a place of high population.
IC: The Fleet's position around the gate was tight and secure now. They created a shell around the gate, and their 'Clouds' merged on the outside of the formation and Orbital Cannons moved freely in them, engaging any ship that fired at them. This ship class was built for this type of engagement, and it was working perfectly- they just had to hold off for another 7 minutes before the gate was complete...

It was too late, the gate was to massive to stop with gravity generators, after all it was one. The allies time had run out, and the CBCs broke off and moved aways from the opening of the gate, revealing a massive oval gate, with a distorted dark violet light emitting from the center.
It was looking at the small light that was the planet of Star Zero. The Gate's crew was analysing the data from it's EM emissions, and the plotted the targets. It they were sending data through the gate when three barrels emerge. All three fired, sending energy rounds at 3x the speed of light- it was a Hyperlight Cannon, and its targets we power stations and relays on the Star Zero colony. It fired 10 rounds at various points on Star Zero Native, and the barrels went back to the other end of the gate.

The Imperial Admiral had been waiting patiently at the command bridge for something to happen. He sat there with his head in one hand while the other drummed the arm rest. "We can't kill them but they can continue to do whatever they please. How boring."
A three barreled cannon was something interesting to see appear out of no where. Gaf'ton's chief of staff was already walking up the bridge with the report. "It seems that the enemy has a large gun that is transported through that portal. We have detected energy spikes within it and it would appear that the target is the planet itself."
The Admiral sighed. "How disappointing. If only we were infront of the attack, we might have been able to use it to our advantage. Well there's no use worrying it about it now."
Energy readings were being scanned from the enemy fleet when they picked up a transmission signal. Luckily it was an Galactic Standard or the Abh would have had no idea what they were talking about. "Why do they always have to use audio messages?"
The Chief of Staff shrugged. "I suppose they find it more convenient than written messages."
"That's odd, written messages take less energy out-put. Anyways, what does the message say?"
The Chief handed him the written read-out. The Abriel's eyes scanned over the page. "What a lack of style. Ah if only Admiral Spoor were here. That woman would taunt them endlessly for such a message. I suppose being so kind is one of my faults though."
Communications officer looked back to the Admiral. "Shall I send a reply?"
"No need." The admiral stood and drew his command saber pointing to the tactical holo map. "Send a message to the allies informing them that we intend to annhilate the enemy. There appear to be adequate defenses protecting the planet. They should take the brunt of the attack since they have the most fire power backing them. At least I hope the planet has some orbitting defenses. Inform SeaQuestian forces to remain here and take this flank while we will reposition our fleet to take the other. I don't care if the written message is in Abh, Mirfakan, Galactic Standard, or Ascended just send it via secure channels. What's the status of our artillary in Hyperspace?"
"We still have contact with them. The beacon is still working properly and are targeted to our position."
"Good. Fuel all mobile mines and load torpedoe tubes. Gunnry officer! Load Graviton cannon cartridges."
"Yes sir. Loading Graviton cannons."
"Senior Aviator, move the fleet to take up attack positions."

The allies may have spoken, but no-one listened. The only response to the replies was a clear build up of energy and gravity about the gate. Out of the gate poured the particles of the 'Cloud' along with weapons systems and other modular devices. The gate was acting as a massive warship, and it began firing on the I.S.S. Preserver, with everything from Electrostatic, Megabolt, and Polarized Particle Cannons.
5 of the CBCs began engaging the SSD covering it, firing at all angles, while the ones attached to the SSD began firing all batteries. The systems that were targeted were the engines, weapons, power relays, and environmental systems.
The ships that had come out of the gate, were much smaller- of destroyer size- and they headed towards Zero Point, but at their speed it would take 30 minutes for them to reach it. In that time they launched many radiological warheads at the area. All the warheads were on delays and detonated two miles from the fleets present.
SECRET IC: In the fray of battle, several objects were moving in range of Zero Point. They had been there since before the Gala, and appeared as space debris floating around on a set path. But that set path put them close to Zero Point, close enough for the job. “Sir, the gate levels are spiking. Something is happening.”
The barrels extended from the gate and they fired. After a few seconds they retracted.
“Sir, it appears to be a simple standard gate, although it is huge. We could easily disrupt it by tossing in a few singularities or even randomizing the quantum fluctuations.”
The admiral thought for a moment.
“No, I want a Mobius Aperture ready to set up about 10,000 meters from the barrels if they use it again. They will be able to fire it one more time and then it will be scrap metal.”

"Yes sir."
The Graviton cannons of the Abh fleet activated and trained on a single line of enemy vessels. Hundreds of rounds were fired in a single volley with projectiles charged to crumple everything they come into contact with. It was almost like shooting a mini black hole at a target but not so grand. The cartridges would just pull everything around it inward in a small location.

“Could it be traces from the wreckage?”
”Negative Sir, it is coming from inside several of the asteroids, not from the shrapnel.”

Djehuty had watched the flares with a wary and nostalgic eye. How long had it been since he'd had to protect Soter from the Imperium, as the planet lay under siege from mammoth kinetic attacks and constant drop attacks?
There was another problem now, mused Djehuty, as the kinetics snarled back a response to the Sebecean attack, missile kinetics bursting open amongst the enemy formation, thundering into hulls. Generally causing destruction and mayhem.
And then they disappeared.
Momentary ripples of subspace informed Djehuty of all he needed to know.

This is a psychological attack. they want to reduce the morale. Sent Djehuty, virtually weighing disadvantages to this new piece of news. The Sebeceans were getting incredibly bold and ruthless. They would have to match them. Else face destruction due to moral issues.
Consider. They may still be in this system somewhere - there's no way they could have jumped out this close to this many sensors without anyone seeing their subspace readings. Mused Djehuty, on encrypted band to all Fleet Leaders. Any ideas from the AV feed where they could be?

nicholai sent a heavilly encrypted message to the Zero Point Command
"we will not move until the presidents daughter is safe, for we do not want to risk such a young childs life, however, once the child is safe, and when we find the SS ships, i swear, by all thats holy, my father and i will personnally lead the Boarding actions on the enemy, they will pay for this disgusting tactic"

Battleship New Mexico
The last replacement harddrive was being put in now, basicly a clean install of the programs. The engineers made sure to add new protocol to the recieving systems of the sensors, to avoid another situation like this.
On the bridge, the Captain was being updated on all that had happened. Her decision was instant.
"Alert 1st Fleet. Inform Fleet Admiral Kay." This was certainly a crime that could not go unpunished. Still, it would be up to High Command to make the final decisions on how exactly to respond.

Zero Point Orbit
The Xeno fleet, now functional again was beginning to catch onto some of the stupid scehemes that these so-called 'allies' were cooking up. From the menacing, black Xeno warships a broadband message would be cast outwards, to everyone in the area.
"This is the Battleship New Mexico. You will not act without permission directly from the government of Star Zero. It is not your place to make the final decisions here, and any attempts to speed off for a sloppy rescue attempt will be met by forceful opposition."
And now to wait for Star Zero to wake up.

Hostility is the last thing you should resort to, Fleet Commander. We're waiting for the Superiors to make a decision. I would await confirmation from my direct superiors in this battle, as anyone would. I hope. The AI sniffed, taking the advisory of the Xeno Commander in the spirit in which it was given...
My point is still valid. How can they have abducted the daughter of the President? Where are they? We need answers, we need to discuss this. Urged the AI.

The imperial warships continued to provide a sheild for Tiffany Point. Their hulls and sheilds overlapping making any shot aimed at the station impossible without going through the warships.

Coded response to the Xeno message:
We weren't planning on going out half-cocked. We were making sure to cover all the angles. We would have some of the forces stay here to help protect Star Zero, others to go out and distract the enemy, and the rest to go in and get the girl.
Those on distraction duty wouldn't have to fire unless fired upon. All they would have to is keep the enemy forces on edge by sitting right outside their border.
As the nation of Xeno has the most marine combat experience, it would be most logical for someone from Xeno to head up the rescue part.
This low, underhanded, cowardly tactic the enemy have used deserves nothing less than an old-fashioned butt-whooping.

We were going to wait till everyone had gathered to propose our plan for the others to nitpick at. But, we must not wait to long to act as the child's life may be at risk. We will go, alone if need be, as we will not sit by and watch an independent nation become enslaved by a nation of cowards too afraid to fight.

The girl began to wake up in the room she was in. It was warm by human standards, but slightly dry. The sounds of water dropping was the prominant sound in the room. She looked at herself in a slight panic, and she noticed the lights had a blue tint. She was begining to panic and cry once more when the a wall openned revealing the Emperor in a dark robe.
"I'm very sorry to have had to use that machine, but I had to get a message to our enemies... I hope you can understand. Infact I have good news, you will be harmed no more- you will learn about what the Sebecean Imperium is all about. But I warn you, in time you will learn about the horrid things your mother did... Marines!"
Two Orbital Marines entered and gentle helped the girl up, and walked he into another room where a "Implantation Device" sat. She was plugged in, and soon fell asleep into a world of images and history... she was learning and being 'convinced' about the Sebecean people. If all went well she would begin to beleive... and at this age it was a good chance.

the warmaster paced around thinking, why would they take her hostage, what possibilities were there
she was young,t ehy could try to converty her to their cause
no never, they wouldnt bother with such and asbstract plan
get what they want then kill her?
if that happened, all of death spire's military would respond with full force, but they wouldnt do that either, the enemy were too smart for that
what were they trying to do, by abducting the little girl
the warmaster slammed his fist on his command desk in anger,
he couldnt figure it out.
OOC: dont worry, he wont figure it out.

The Abh fleet was anchored silently in space as no communications were being sent out to any fleet in the area. Five jump gates open up to the rear of the fleet bringing out five separate Whitestars.
The Chief of staff came up the stairs. "Sir, it seems the rangers have arrived. It appears the Capital sent Titania, Marcus, Gawain, Ike, and Jessica."
The Admiral nodded. "Very good. I wasn't expecting so many but this is good."
"Well the Rangers are still not that large yet so it was probably felt that this was a good time to bring them in. I have heard that Lord Dusanyu has already recruited another load on his exploration mission while claiming another system for the Empire."
Gaf'ton plopped back down into his seat. "Perhaps you are right. Tell them to anchor in with the rest of the fleet and get some rest. We may have a mission for them before it's all over."

The Imperial Admiral was becoming impatient with the sitting around. Obviously nothing was going to be accomplished with all these fleets just milling around and worse, the crew of the fleet would be high strung without a break in the silence.
"Contact the supply fleet. I want a temporary station erected in one hour."
Chief of staff bowed his head. "Understood."
A single jump point opened to the left of the Abh fleet as large cargo ship drifted out. Large bay doors opened and began depositing already previously assembled parts to a station. Engineers and other construction workers were out in space suits assembling the various parts. It would take long before all was assembled.
"Communications, get me a message out to the allied fleets."
"Yes sir."
Since there has been a lull in the action and with the recent events of the young girl that we have all seen, I propose that all heads of command meet in an hours time to discuss further strategies and battle plans. Sitting here while we wait for the enemy to attack is not really an option.

The Osirus faded into existance as it Emerged from T-Space into Real Space. The 6000 meter carrier simply hovered in place about 10000 meters from the construction area.
There were several dozen launch bays facing the nearly assembled station marked by their blue forcefields glowing in the darkness. A couple times The Hugin and The Munin entered the main launch bay. The immense carrier seemingly devoured them, only to be spat out later as they went on their business.
The ship just waited for the meeting, apparently the first to arrive.

The station was completed within the hour as scheduled. Supplies were quickly ushered in as the interior was polished and shaped up for the crew to use. The large supply ship quickly disembarks back to wait in Hyperspace with the rest of the fleet that has remained there throughout this time.
"Sir, the station is complete and it seems we already have one ship waiting to board for the meeting."
"Good. Have our Rangers boarded the station?"
The Chief of Staff nodded.
"Inform the Balroggan ship that they may send a shuttle to dock. There will be an escort to show them to the room as well."
"Right away sir."
There will be an escort waiting for you once your shuttle has docked and they will lead you to the council chamber. We will upload the coordinates to the docking bay after transmission. Also, your crew may use the station as well to entertain themselves if you wish.
