A message rang across space, emerging from a source that had not had official contact with the outside world for a very long time.
People of the universe.
For generations we have existed and traded with the various powers of the universe and just like that our governments ceased most communications with each other. In our time of silence we have forgone many changes. Rebellion, a devastating civil war, and yet through all this some alliances had been forged and old ones honoured. Now, we have stability again for the first time in years, and a glimpse of our former strenght now shows and awaits us to uncover more of it.
It is in these new times of peace and stability that we, the nation of Taledonia who was recently declared leader of the Republic, our humble alliance, calls for any nations that are willing to come forth and parley. New and old alike, we can forge treaties and alliances or mend them; and tho we have been away for much time, we are not ignorant of the ways of the universe and know that new nations are discovered and step onto the universal stage every year, and we invite them to do the same and even offer them a place amongst our ranks if they so wish it.
Some come, we invite you to our midst, and we shall speak of many things that may yeild fruit or bloody war. In either case, we have taken our first step back onto the scene.
A transmission from an unknown source came hurtling through space.
Greetings. The Galactic Empire of Crystar sends it's acknowledgement of you and wishs to meet an ambassador. A small convoy has been dispachted to meet your ambassador at 10.25.36.54.

A message rang back, telling that an ambassador would be assigned the task and would be able to arrive at the desginated area that was supposed to be neutral territory within four earth hours. A friendly warning was also issued to ensure that there was no shock when the ambassadors ship arrived with a small military escort.
Cornelius looked about himself with great dignity as he inspected the clumsy servants load the rest of his things aboard his diplomatic frigate Accipiter. He felt a swelling of pride within himself as he thought about the message he had recieved from the Emperor himself, telling him to pack and explaining that he would be the first to undertake a diplomatic meeting in years. He felt great excitement. It took no longer that three hours for the ships to be checked and to launch into the coldness of space, and only a few seconds more after the jump to hyperspace was made and the ship appeared at the designated meeting point an hour earlier than originally expected. So they would sit and wait for awhile. Accipiter, flanked by the two military frigates that had come as an escort, floated lightly in the void of the meeting place.

So, you return. From beyond dimensions; from hiding beyond the borders; from crawling in the cracks of the universe. I wonder; how have you faired; oh great sons of the house of Kellerman? Is it ruin yet? Or does hope live that you have greatness in your blood and fire in your bellies?
I wish to see if the years have changed anything; my Father has passed from this world and I take my rightful place as Lord and God-Emperor. Shall we see who has grown greatest in your long abscence? Shall we see if the long-lost peace can be ours again?

"What a monster" muttered Constans, "this universe seems to have spawned. I never believed it when I heard the stories of my father, that the Chronosian beast had the ability to speak across the galaxy at will, but this is...unexpected. The Chronosians have called."
"Imperator, they have never been trustworthy to the Empire or the Republic. They see none as equals, breaking alliances when they see profit. We should simply ignore the call."
Constans raised his hand and whiped the sweat from his forehead with a cloth as he waddled through the marble halls of the palace with the General Barbatio.
"Simply ignoring them would never do. They would most likely take offence by it and invade us or we would be turning away great opportunities for us. In anycase, they aren't a real threat to us anymore, their vast fleets are streched thin protecting their ever growing boarders against possible G.F.F.A attacks, and we have recieved news that they are invading another nation at this very moment. They could never afford to send a sizeable force against us at the moment."
"But sir..." the slow witted General started but was quickly silenced by a scowl from the Emperor.
"We will meet with them, yes, and see what it is they want." They continued their pace, the chubby legs of the sovereign moving at a pace that seemed impossible for a man of his size, while the slimmer General moved easily beside him. "Prepare a reply. Ask the Daemon Emperor if he would agree to a change in the usual meetings of Taledonian/Chronosian talks. I'm sure our great city would be able to meet their leaders needs on his stay here while we discuss matters."

Remiel sat upon his throne as the request came in, and slowly, but surely, began to laugh. Before long he was madly cackling, struggling for breath; rapt in the embrace of his maddening amusement. "Oh, so that's how they wish to play it, is it?"
We shall accept. Provide us with coordinates and we shall grace you with our royal presence; our glorious magnificence upon your world. I am the Scion of Chaos; I am Master of Empire and Imperium; I expect nothing less than god-like hospitality. It has been long since I have known the embrace of your Kind; it has been long since I have been roused to interest in a son of Kellerman....Pray; do not waste my time.

As requested, the co-ordinates were given and the border stations told to allow the Chronosians to pass through the FTLi field un-impeded, straight to Taledonia. It would be an interesting meeting.
"So we shall set aside a room within the palace for the Chronosian King, and have the main banqueting hall prepared for a grand feast upon his arrival." Constans smiled. He found it a slight victory over the beasts that he would offer much more hospitality to his enemy than they had to his ancestors, even the diefied Mathew who had gained the late Marcus' great respect.
"It will be done, Imperator" the head Servant said, and set about handing out orders to the milling slaves, servants and eunuchs who filled that part of the palace.
The grunting, sweating, obese sovereign of the Republic moved up to his throne where he would listen to the various things that required his attention at that moment. The pirates at the border seemed to be growing in number and being much more cocky, so he wanted to have them dealt with before the honoured guests arrived.

From Hydrogen-Land Centre...
A decrepid James Macpherson sat up from his bed, he knew the Republic was holding a conference, but would rather hang than send that spineless Steven Kerrok. He pointed to a Hydronaut High Guard standing at the door, and as he came near, Macpherson stated "You, I beg a favour. I'm going to need you to be my official courier to the conference, you will speak on my behalf, and I will feed what I must say directally into your COMlink, go, you musnt be late."
The High Guard, coincidentally a nephew of the late Luger Macpherson, set off to the shipping bay, and suited up for the meeting.
Several minutes later, the Guard's ship landed on Taledonia, he proceded to the meeting area. He walked inside and greeting the several guards on the walls, walked up to speak to the head of the area. "Greetings, I represent James Macpherson, and Hydrogen-Land."
Lt. Comdr. F'rgil Wui'tila stood up, sweat dripping down from his long brown hair as he finished his exercises.
Ready my shuttle and two Vectex escorts. We leave in half a cycle. I want to meet their ambassador.

The head servent, who went by the name of Quintus, looked the Hydronaut up and down. Tho the rebellion had been crushed and the Hydronauts were taking a more co-operative stance within the Republic, their suits still looked very different amongst the rest of the men, and he knew it would cause a slight decor malfunction, but they had a right to be there in any case.
"Ave, Hydronaut. I assume you have come to partake in the historic moment? The Chronosians and the Republic finally mending relations? Well then, I'm sure we can find you adequete lodgings until the guest of honour arrives" he said while motioning for another servant to come and show the man to his temporary quarters within the palace.

"Thank you kindly Taledonian, but I come strictly as a representative of our Mastermind James Macpherson" The Hydronaut walked over to the side to wait for his room arrangements, all the time thinking to himself. "What if Taledonia has changed? What if the Republic is finally sound?" he said to himself, "Vertid! Get a hold of yourself, you are representing the most famous hydronaut of all time, you had better not screw this up!"
Vertid walked back over to the Taledonian, all the time thinking, what if?

"We'll stick around,” Juni corrected
"Right. Well anyway, where's your boss I need to speak to him?"
