Welcome to the Ministry of Finance to the Commonwealth of Grand Plutocracy

Welcome to the CGP Finance Ministry Page. The Commonwealth Government is dedicated to international peace and co-operation in order to foster a stable environment for business and finance.

The Ministry of Finance has launched this page to provide information on the CGP economy and serve as a point of contact for those wishing to establish a business within the CGP.

Banking and Business Within the CGP

The Government of the Commonwealth believes in free trade, movement of citizens and capital between friendly nations. As a result, the CGP welcomes the establishment of offices by international organisations in our country.

Our government has completely removed trade barriers and has a zero percent income tax policy; good conditions for any business.

In addition, the independent Central Bank of the CGP, which manages interest rates, can provide an International Banking Services for all sorts of industries and companies. The Central Bank also operates an International Reserve service for governments and Heads of State to maintain a secure account for all needs.

Nations maintaining a government income-expenditure surplus (calculated using the NS Dossier - followthe link in the Information on the CGP Economy section below) can divert that difference to the Reserve service, saving the money they don't currently spend for purchasing goods, companies or services from other nations.

Each quarter, governments holding an account will be infromed that they may make a deposit based on their income-expenditure surplus, and it will be for that government to decide whether or no to make a deposit, of what size this deposit will be and into which account(s)(the total deposited must not, of course, total more than the government has saved in the last quarter).

If you wish to open a Business Account, then any profits your company makes from sales etc may deposit these into one of our accounts. Please contact the CGP for more information.

If you wish to open any Business Account, please contact Corporate Business Services by posting or telegramming: cbs@cb.gb

International Reserve enquires should be made by post or telegram to: ira@cb.gb

The Finance Minister, Anthony Rothschild, said "the recession is an unforeseen effect of introducing product safety checks within the CGP. While it is true to say our economy has been hurt, we expect this to be a short-lived and we are working to repair the damage."

Beck Publishing Ltd:
01/02/2006 The CGP based company Beck Publishing Ltd has negotiated a take over of FPW rival Klintos Books for LR$120m
