The Aequatian Foreign Legion Act (2006) was passed by the National Senate in order to allow foreign nationals to serve as a member of the Aequatian military in nations which are allied to the Junta. Organization adopted by the Legion will resemble that of the Aequatian Army and enlistment is open to foreign military personnel and units, mercenary groups and civilians who wish to join. Units will be given the choice to either be equipped with Aequatian weaponry, equipment and vehicles or be allowed to maintain their own equipment should it be accepted by the Aequatian Central Command.

There is an enlistment bonus provided to the home nation and the enlistee's family of 50,000 Aequatian Markes each as well as an annual hazard pay of 12,000 Aequatian Markes. The purpose of the foreign legion is to protect Aequatian allied nations.

The legion is open to any nation that is accepted. Should you wish to have personnel enlist, we shall evaluate your nation and decide as to whether or not to allow citizens from your nation to join in a separate unit.

Aequatio,
Very well, I am intrested. The Nomadic Peoples of Luchamos is composed of many different tribes of peoples. Some of our tribes are masters of scouting and gurellia tactics. Others are fine warriors that risk anything for their cause. Beyond these tribes all our people live in cities that float in the sea. So they are good at fighting as Marines and flying over the ocean. We await your response as well as a good relationship for the future.

Major-General Karl Federov,

I write to you to concerning the Aequatian Foreign Legion Act. I doubt you are aware, but recently the military of the Imperial Commonwealth has experienced budget cuts under the new Parliament, and several military units have been disbanded. One such unit was my own regiment, the 52nd Royal Marines.

After disbanding, the officers and many enlisted men deigned to stay together. Our initial attempts at establishing an independent mercenary force were successful in the post-civil war Commonwealth, but the ruling party has recently outlawed the hiring of mercenaries within the Commonwealth.

I would therefore like to request the incorporation of the 52nd into the Aequatian Foreign Legion. The reigment may provide its own equipment and weapons, if accepted.

Sincerely,
Col. Christian Frazer (Ret.), RMC

Upon review, we would accept citizens from Luchamos and they would be considered preferred personnel for duties such as reconnaissance, light armour and airborne forces. We shall begin organization restructuring for units such as yours.

Given your past records, the 52nd Royal Marines would be a much welcomed and celebrated addition to the Aequatian foreign Legion. All that is required is an order of battle so that we may incorporate your unit into our organization structure and attach support units that may be required. As well, you may request any equipment that may be needed from Aequatian Arsenals, simply request the type of equipment and a list shall be provided of what can be given.

52nd Royal Marines, Order of Battle
-1st Battallion (Infantry)
-2nd Battalion (Infantry Support)
*1st Artillery Company (2 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer Batteries)
*2nd Artillery Company (2 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer Batteries)
*3rd Mortar/Recoilless Company
-3rd Battallion (Armor)
*1st Tank Company (14 Imperial Mk.I MBTs)
*2nd LAV Company (14 Spartacus LAVs)
-4th Battallion (Headquarters)
-5th Battallion (Provision & Supply)
-6th Battallion (Aviation)

The 52nd is somewhat larger than a traditional regiment, given its recent role as an independent organization; it has been forced to expand to fill vacant slots. The regiment numbers roughly 6400 men and women.

No Aequatian equipment is need at the moment, though it may be prudent to replace some of the Malkyeri-produced weapons, as appropriate ammunition or maintenance equipment may become more difficult to procure.

Just a few questions, what does the 6th Battalion (Aviation) consist of? Along with the Mortar/Recoilless company and artillery batteries (guns per battery?)

If you wish and have the numbers, we can create a unit which is made up entirely of citizens from Lachamos, otherwise your personnel will join units alongside Aequatians.

We have a group of soldiers who are restless. They operated small and light craft to partol around our limited land space. However the smugglers they faced have been eradicated, and their numbers are too great for the small threat. The Marines are carried with them on board the Patrol Boats, however they can fight on land as well. They are organized as the following:
2nd Special Patrol Group
1st Battallion (Marines)
2nd Battalion (Marines)
3rd Batalion (Elite Toad Marines)
1st Naval Group (Patrol Carft)
- PB-1s
- PB-2s
2nd Naval Group (Command and Supply)
-PB-3s
-GS-1s
-1 Small Helicopter Carrier
Aviation Group
- Sea Talon Attack Helicopters
- Sea Boss light General Purpose Helicopters

OCC: I wil give more info on numbers and equippment if this is what you want, and the citizens offered earlier with special skills can fight in other units
where their skills are needed

OCC: OK, I was just seeing if you were interested. The special skills were just the original citizens who signed up. This group is obviously good at raids. There was a Smuggler and Rebel forces working together. The PB-2s cover the PB-1s who move in and drop off the marines. The PB-3s are for more open ocean patrol, and support for the smaller craft. The GS-1s are command stations and act like floating docks for the PB2s and PB-1s.

2nd Special Patrol Group
1st Battallion (Marines) 700
2nd Battalion (Marines) 700
3rd Batalion (Elite Toad Marines) 500
1st Naval Group (Patrol Carft)
- 65 PB-1s
- 40 PB-2s
2nd Naval Group (Command and Supply)
-30 PB-3s
-25 GS-1s
-5 Monk Class Corvettes
-1 La Águila Class Amphibious Assault Ship (Helicopter Carrier)
Aviation Group (On the Carrier)
- 20 Sea Talon Attack Helicopters
- 35 Sea Boss Helicopters

They can take all Equippment listed here, however it may be best for them to have your small arms due to ammunition needs. The equip can be found at http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=466219 The stuff not there will be put there soon. If I missed anything please ask

OOC: Aviation Battallion consists of four MA-03 helicopter gunships (essentially reverse-engineered copies of the Mi-24 Hind), and each artillery battery contains six self-propelled guns. The Mortar/Recoilless company has two dozen 82mm mortars, and six 84mm recoilless rifles.

Also, this may be a stupid question, but we would being RPing our legionnaire in any battle, right?

The Dictatorship of Evil Gopher Eaters is a corporate plice sate. Dissidents are not permitted to exist here. We recently captured a milita group, "The Wind of Change". Instead of the typical dictatoral method, we think they could be used in your Foreign Legion. We have 5000 of these rebels. Their leader is Dimitri Gorbinev. He is a capable leader, evading our military for along time. They are organized in the following manner:

-1st Battallion (Infantry)
-2nd Battalion (Support)
~Artillery Company
~Mortar Company
~Anti-Tank Company
-3rd Battallion (Armored)
-4th Battallion (Guerilla)
-5th Battallion (Guerilla)
-6th Battallion (Headquarters and Supply)

The only equippment we will let them take is one AK-47 for everybody.

We will agree to take these members on, however, since they are not joining under their own free will, your government and their families will not receive the enlistment bonuses that would normally be available to those who join. Extra equipment will be provided as they would to an Aequatian unit and as these are classed as "undesirables," they will be given Aequatian citizenship.

Requirements are no different than those of the Aequatian Army except for the obvious difference of citizenship. As well, Foreign Legion units are stationed within Aequatio, but can be mobilized to their homeland in times of trouble, however, they would be under Aequatian command.

Being prisoners of another government and conscripted into our armed forces, we cannot in good conscience pay the enlistment bonus to the families, however, we will provide the annual hazard pay to the families as conpensation.
