noob question about terrorism

Does terrorism actually accomplish anything in this game? I mean, seriously, sending terrorists to assassinate fictional dictators won't really achieve any objective as I really want to assassinate the guy behind the computer monitor.

I mean, I'm all for it. I just need some clarification.

And what's the deal with money? Do I have deep pockets or a national budget?

pretty much everything is roleplayed out in the forums. Terrorism would cause internal strife and an "Unofficial" drain on the economy and police forces.

If you kill the dictator it will cause a IC change in the nation. Even if you don't accomplish much of anything you might make waves. For example, a terror group called Terror of the World killed a ViZion child on camera, it caused a massive international uproar and allowed President Villian to increase his powers... It would be the first step in Villians eventual plan to launch a coup (which has resulted in a massive civil war which has turned into a world war).

A Xirniumite child, actually. And now I (one of Xirnium's allies and a major figure in that world war) am getting my ass kicked by two superpowers.

Anyway, if I lose, I might get to cut my teeth RPing as rebels. If not... I'll be the same old interventionist democracy that you've come to know and love. Or hate.

Back to the topic at hand. You have to be a pretty good RP'er to successfully do terrorism. Too many n00bs just want to destroy everyone. Terrorists don't work like that. They generally have an ideology that they fight for. [/n00brant]

The stickies can give you more RP advice than I can. I've been here for months and still occasionally refer back to the stickies, especially to get me out of a jam.
