MAC ANU-The World's Boat Race, ranging from the 10000 Islands region to the Pacific Region, is set. Racers will compete for the ultimate cash prize of $120 Billion, (funded from Aqua Anu, and various 1st World Nations) and giant trophey to go on one's mantel at home.

Although extreemly challanging and dangerous, sailors from all over the world, young and old compete in this once in a lifetime event. With massive waves, storms, and other dangers, it's enough to deter anyone away. But it's worth it for the excellent prize, and the beuatiful waters along the way. Not to mention the large span of marine life, sure to attract marine biologists, the very warm weather, for the sun starved, and the challanging waters, for the adrenaline junkies.

The Starting Point is at Aqua Anu's capital of Mac Anu (the larges island of the small chain) and the finishing point is a remote naval station in the Pacific Ocean.

MAC ANU

Her excellency Queen Mikanu Akoowa and her young daughter Subaru stared out at the vast ocean.

"Exciting, this could very well be the largest boat race in the history of Aqua Anu." THe Queen said

Subaru responded with "I don't know mother, seems rather dangerous. It's a long trip from here to the Pacific."

"Oh my dear, any sea trip is dangerous. Racing is no diffrence. The only diffence is you are trying to achive ultimate speed."

"My freind Annabella and her boyfreind are competing. Frankley I hope she wins. She's very poor."

"She is a sweet girl. I wouldn't mind seeing her win either. She's an extreemmly skilled sailor for 17."

Down at the registration desk, people we're already lining up.

"Name?" The man said in a motone

"Annabella Mortise"

"His name?"

"Sanji Ikagi." he said excitedly

"Age?"

Annabella responded for both "I'm 17, he's 18"

He typed all the info.

"Do you have a boat?"

Sanji responded "Yes, my boat is the {i]Azure[/i] It's been pre-approved by the racing board."

"Papers?"

He handed the offical documents.

"You're in. Good luck."

Now Annabella and Sanji we're prepearing the boat for the longest trip they would ever take, in hopes to win the grand prize of all that money. They could start their life together, and help their families.

ooc: How will it work?
Also are you talking about sailing, as in wind only boats?
What is maximum size limits for the boats?

I will decide how one wins. As long as no-one gets there with in a day or cheats like that, you are all qualified to potentially win.

RUELES ANNEX: Sail boats are very much perfered but although a motor may be kept on for emergency use, (i.e. medical) and not for acutal racing (All motors will be checked at check points) However Motors will be charged an extra fee for entrance

The max boat size should be 700X500

ooc: What do you mean 700 X 500?
A few other questions, do you want boat/main character info now or let it develop in race?
Are they suppose to be only a few people(a yatch), or fully crewed(A schooner)?
Are contestants allowed to attack each other?
Do you have a course map(with weather patterns)?
What is the cost of entrance?

ooc: boats are useually meassured in meters or feet.. but apparantly that number isn't their length or hight? it's some strange formula based on hight and length and width a whole lot of other crazy stuff, if i remember rightly...

anyway, given the information asked for above, i'd participate.. or at least, some people from my nation.

It is against the rules for opponents to attack ram or do anything to hinder ones racing. However we have no real way of enforcing the etiquette. Provide a basic profile. Small personal crews to large crews (no more than 20 crew members) 700 length by 500 height.

If you buy or rent a boat from AQA, maps are provided, otherwise you will have to get your own

Registration Fee: $1,237 (For your boat Converted from Aqua Coins)

Boat Fee (If bought or rented) $10,000

Maps (If bought from the navel stations) $12.00

Motor (optional if bought) $1,105

PROHT shall sponsor 1 boat.

(was about to enter a seaplane until I read this was for sailboats, and 3 other boats in case it was disqualified, 2 had motors as primary propulsion)

PROHT Marine training sloop:

Is essentially a US Clipper ship fitted with an auxillary motor, sensors, and guns.
(Can make up to 30 knots)
Crew: 40 Marine cadets 10 Marine Officers

Then we found that you dissaprove of 'frigates' and 'oceangoing' boats

For awhile everyone in PROHT thought it would be hopeless, until one overly wealthy tycoon stepped forth and applied his Trireme sailboat.

(yes, a Trireme, as in 3 banks of rowers, and a reinforced nose for ramming)

The marines then became involved and added a CC-35A cannon for a deck gun, mounted\hidden in the crow's nest

Crew: 120 rowers (cadets in the Marine corp [PROHT has no Navy]) and 10 overseers (officers) and one extremely wealthy tycoon at the helm.

Then we saw that there was a 20 crew limit...

So another tycoon, with the aid of some craftsmen, made a concrete sailboat, catamaran with a deck spanning the gap between hulls, designed so that forward speed creates an air cushion similar to that of a hovercraft lifting it out of the water (except for the keel/rudder assembly) This time the military didn't want to get involved (except in construction, they wanted a REALLY big bilge pump)

Crew: 10
Specs unknown, first one we've built, at least we know it should float (and we have bilge pumps if it doesn't [salvaged motor from old russian ICBM fuel pump] hmmm... I wonder what would happen if...)

The boat is being shipped by air, and was rush made (paint is still drying while en route)

Then

A seemingly quite night in the country side. Or is it? The sky was pitch-black, sure signs of a storm brewing, the air was still, and the land was dry. Too dry. It had been very dry. Inside the quant farm house the family of five slept soundly. Out side, a sudden lightning bolt streaked down from the sky. Thunder rumbled. Frighteningly enough, Lightning hit the house, sparking a fire. Rosette woke up to the sound of thunder. She proceeded to go back to sleep, but she smelled smoke. She scrambled to the window, she figured something out side like the wind mill, or the barn was burning. But nothing. Suddenly a plank from the roof fell in, fire and all.

"FIRE" She shouted, as she raced to get her brother and sister. As the flames spreaded, The all blond family raced out side into the night, and watched as their house burned.

By the next morning Molly and Paul (the parents) we're attempting to work out their insurance needs. Molly came back with sad news. "The fire, is not covered under our insurance. And we are out of money. We spent all on repairing from the twister we had."

Rosette didn't feel much like going to Church Choir practice. She just walked in the rain, and wind. It was likely now they would lose the farm, or even go to jail if they didn't pay their fees. She could see them, naked, huddled in a tiny prison boat destined for a deserted isle. A flyer flew onto Rosettes yellow coat. She pulled it off, and read. World Boat Race, GRAND PRIZE of $20,000 She folded up her umbrella and ran to the small apartment they we're renting until further notice. "Ma'ma. Look, an International Boat Race! A grand prize, if we enter and win, we can still save our home."

"I don't know babe," Molly said, "It's been a while since either of us have been on a boat, much less race one."

"Maybe we can do it Molly." Paul said, "After all, God has a plan for us all right? Maybe it's ours to win this." Paul would spend several days training in the harbor, along with Molly. But one stormy night, Paul fell ill. "He's burning up." Molly said.

Little Madeline said "Should we call the fire department?"

"No sweetie, burning up is just a metaphor."

Joshua said "You are as thick as a plank of wood."

Rosette responded with "That's a simile."

"There is no way he can race. We have to sail just to get there."

"I'll do it."

"Rosette, the rules state, no one is allowed go alone."

"I'll take Joshua with me. You need to stay and take care of Papa. And Maddie. I've sailed before Mama, so has Josh, we can do it."

Their was much argument, but it was settled.

Now
After a long trip Rosette and Joshua made it to Aqua Anu. They we're preparing for the most horrendous journey they may ever take.

"Ready for this?"

Joshua said confidently "Yes."

"Me too. Let's win this, for Mama, Papa, and Madaline."

Anna a redheaded bueaty who felt very much in charge (even though 17) looked over maps. "We start here, and go here. A 15,000 mi. Running pulrey on wind power. This won't be easy.

Makito a dark-haired 18 year old, who was infact Anna's boyfreind, was the one who would be the main captain. Driving, would be in his controll. "Not to mention the weather we will likely encounter, the roughest seas."

Miyu a young blond was hardly worried. "Oh we've been on rough seas before right? We can do it."

Her boy freind Angelo, hair oak brown, was almost hessitant "Now I'm not so sure about this. It's going to be rather dangerous."

Anna tried to reaffirm them "Tough up rookies, we are going to win this, for our country, and for our families. Let's make them proud. We'll sail through hurricanes for all we care. Let's do it!"

It's only a bilge pump! (fuel pump actually, idea from the guys at possum lodge when they used it to collect maple syrup)

Though I was thinking about giving the crew 4 weapons 'specialists' armed with 2 assault rifles, a MG and a rocket launcher to be used against 'sea monsters', which you will undoubtedly shall throw at us. with our oversized bilge pump that can empty the great lakes in less than a year (provided the water doesn't come back).

IC:
The HTS Davy Jones's (foot) Locker, safely landed at MAC Anu international airport inside a C-17 transport plane. Himself, and his 5 eldest sons, and 4 PROHT marines made up his team, the soldier's, to protect their identities, called themselves X, Y Z and Lt. Dunbar. His children because of the fact that PROHT allows poligamy and has no child limitation laws, where called Davy Jones the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th ( or 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 for short)

Davy Jones (the first) immediatly noticed propellers on the stern of the boat and that the boat was missing 2 oars. When he confronted Lt. Dunbar, he sighed, and led Mr Jones into the cabin where he displayed an exercise bicycle, hooked up to what appeared to be drive shafts. Lt. Dunbar then explained, that a propeller arrangement would provide far more power than rowers, but to get around the motor problem it would be powered by people.

DJ4 was busy stenciling in the name of the boat while DJ2 and 3 where busy making the stencils. DJ5 was in the terminal to register the group.

DJ5:
"We would like to register in the sea race [takes out a 1,000 Megahertz (PROHT currency), signs it, and gives it to the teller] this should be enough, hold onto it, it will soon be a collectable."

X, Y and Z where busy carrying boxes of provisions (and small arms) onto the boat as it was being fitted out at dry dock.

DJ6 was busy getting the sails, bilge pump, and oarlocks ready for the first day at sea.

The HTS Davy Jones's Footlocker came in 5 main parts:
Port hull, Starboard hull, deck, foil\rudder assembly, and the mast.

In the dry dock, after X, Y and Z finished unloading the provisions for their trip, started assembly of the 25 ton concrete catamaran, with the aid of local dock cranes.

Davy Jones Sr. was with the waterfront manager working out the cost of renting their dockside and airport facilities, mostly by pulling out thousands upon thousands of Megahertz, sometimes though whenever the manager complained he threatened to use his 'political ties' to declare war upon the little port (not the country, just the port). Of course that was only frothing at the mouth variety rage that most eccentric tycoons get when they are not readily appeased.

Davy Jones's other children where still painting the hindquarters of the boat and decided to move onto the bow to paint this month's Playboy(tm) centerfold upon the hull.

Since the offspring of Davy Jones had finished their 'nose art' they decided to get the sails in order. In the shipping crates where 4 sails, two 12'x12' triangular 'jib' sails, one 10'x20' rectangular sail and a single 20'x40' "Big Bertha" sail, and a 10' mast extension to allow the Big Bertha to be fitted to the mast correctly.

The children decided a 40'x20' sail would be perfect for the opening leg of the race.

DJ6 with the aid of X, Y, and Z. Managed to finally get the boat assembled and launched. With no apparent leaks, they deemed the ship seaworthy, with 24" of freeboard. They then worked on the controls, testing them to make sure they worked.

Lt. Dunbar finally returned from his forray into a nearby urban drinking establishment. While Davy Jones finalized his generous donnation of investments into Aqua Anu's merchantile fleet.

Soon all was ready, and as they finally stretched out to sleep off their jet lag/hangover, a loud burst of feedback woke them.

"Hello. I'm Queen Mikaux Akoowa, along side me stands my daughter, Subaru Akoowa. For thoes of you who have come to race, I applaued your coruage. This will be a dangerous race, and challanging. But you are all likely skilled sailors i'm sure. So for now, enjoy your night in

"Only in your dreams my child. The sea is dangerous, and this will be a dangerous race."

And you wonder why I armed my boat with guns? Though I wish it could have had at LEAST a 35 mm AA cannon...

I've settled on 2 M-16 knockoffs (CM-16) a CM-249 SAW, a few hand grenades (8), and an RPG-7 series rocket launcher. In adition to 4 oars, 2 harpoons, an inflatable raft, and two fishing poles and a net, and some chains and padlock.

From the office of
Vice Admiral Eugene H. Japhy USSDN

My nation, the United Socialist States of Duramane, wish to make an entry into your race, pending your approval.

Our ship, The Durritti, is 90 feet long, 24 feet wide, has a draught of 10 feet and weighs 220 tons.

She is captained by Lt. Moja, an accomplished sailor, and he has a hand-picked crew to sail her. Eighteen members of her crew are members of the Naval Forces of Duramane, and there are two retired sailors on board as well.

The vessel is a ship of the Naval Forces of Duramane and will be sailing outfitted in accordance with the regulations of our navy. This means that she will have ample rations and supplies for the voyage, as well as equipment in the event of an emergnecy. However, we would like to know what emergency aid we can count on from the race organizers, in the event of a disater. The nation of Duramane is prepared to contribute a corvette, the helicopter on board the corvette, and several patrol craft for aiding in policing the race. In the event you accept these vessels, we will be withdrawing our entry to the race.

Davy Jones walked up and took the mike.

"Well, making boats out of concrete is nothing new, many countries have been doing so since the 1900s. As to how it floats, being more dense than water? Well, steal is more dense than water, but as a boat it works fine. To further decrease leaking of the hull, waterproofing of the hull is necessary, and a rather large bilge pump is on standby, and if that fails, well, we DO have a lifeboat in case it gets that bad."

Lt. Dunbar gave the offical line for why they entered the competition:
"To show that the People of the Peolpe's Republic of Hurtful thoughts are not just heartless mercenaries with no regards to UN sanctions. Oh, and because this is a privately funded way to train a few cadets and win a prize."

Jones rips the mike from Dunbar's hands:
As you can also see, is the hydrofoil/keel assembly. This was so designed to improve structural integretyof the boat and to improve sailing qualities at higher speeds, I expect the HTS Davy Jones's Footlocker to reach up to 35 knots with a good wind."

Lt Dunbar then notices the crew erecting "big betha" onto the mast (which is threatening to pull the boat out of the dry dock in the slight breeze)...

"Good god! What are those hooligans doing!?"

On board the flagship, the Internationale, the commander of the small squardon, Rear Admiral Eugene H. Japhy paces the bridge, he motions to Capt. Saxton that he is going out on deck. A few moments later he is standing at the stern of the ship, gazing at the group of ships and boats that are following him. He moves along them one by one, the Fidel Castro corvette, the Kropotkin and the Lenin patrol vessels, and the eight small patrol boats, being tossed around in the waves each with a line tossed to another larger vessel.

He paused before turning, glanced at each vessel, and went back to the bridge.

Marina and myself have been sailing most of our lives,we are also childhood friends and decided to enter the fastest cutter in Cookborough's racing fleet the Prospero, our team is racing for national ,not personal glory, and we wil not hold back anything on the other racers, Thank You Princess"

"You are most welcome...(**She glanced at the sheet**) Geoffrey. (**She examined the boat.**) Well I think you have a nice sea-worthy boat here. It'll do fine. If I'm not mistaking, you'll have great speed advantages, and you should have moderate rough-waters advantage. I think you two will do fine. Best of luck to all of you."

She bowed back.

"Wow. I have to admit, I've never really seen a concret boat before. Though way back when we tried making a battle ship out of ice. Best of luck to your team. I can't say for sure what kind of advantages you'll have, other than hardiness. Best of luck to all of your team."

Subaru paused for a moment at the Kurnoan racers. "My deepest sympathy for your family. I know farming isn't easy, it's just like fishing. Only slightly less dangerous." She looked at the boat, it looked to be sea-worthy but it didn't look as if it could hold up in harsh storm, or compete at the level everyone else is. "Your boat is called The Saint am I correct?"

There was a reply of yes.

"I don't think this came from us." Subaru wanted to help them out, but at the same time, not frighten them. "Tell you what, I can get you a nicer more advantagous boat to keep up with the others. It'll be at their level, and no it is not cheating. It would be if I we're to give you a boat that could easily outwhit theres. I'm meerly giving you one so you can have an equal competative level. (She signeled to her guards) Go to the Ship Yard and get a ACS-231-B, make sure it is unamed.

She walked on, her guard caucsed her. "They should have been better prepare, people will think your rigging this."

"These are farmers, Mr. Atoll, they are not fishermen, or sailors. All I'm doing is providing them with a boat to compete at the other levels I've seen here. Not above, not under, just euqal. Makes things fair, and even. I'd rather not see two young kids drown on the open sea, because their boat could NOT hold up in harsh weather."

"Call for you milady. It's anotehr potential competator. Nation of U.S.S. Duramane."

"Hello Racers of U.S.S. Durmane, I'm Princess Subaru Akoowa, daughter of the Queen Akoowa, i'm the co-organizer of this race, can I answer any questions?"

"Well, your Highness, we just want to make our family and our country proud. Since we are little we are taught about our county, and it gives a lot of national pride. We are a proud democracy, we are a proud poltical influence, proud keepers of peace, humanatarians. Well, at the risk of sounding cycnical we want to make them proud sports competators. We want to represent our country. We are all to young for the olympics, so this is the next best thing."

"Princess..." he said, surprised...

"I am sorry to trouble you... I was hoping to communicate that the United Socialist States of Duramane has withdrawn its application to participate in the race... but, we have a small flotilla ready to help your nation regulate its proceedings..."

He paused...

"Well, it consists of four vessels... each with a smaller patrol boat. We have two helicopters..."

"Princess, I thank you for your time... I will have a written report posted to you... detailing our capabilites and intended plans"

"Thank you."

A male voice came over the P.A.

Your attention please, the race will commence at dawn tomorrow. At 0400 Hours, every racer will report to the Cultural Center in Mac Anu. There breakfast will be served, a high protein meal of two steaks, eggs, hashbrowns, O.J. sausage and bacon. Following breakfast all racers will report for the breifing in the confrense room. The plan is to split our eight vessel fleet into four sub-groups.

A) The Internationale, under Cpt. Saxon, and the Sandino, under Lt. Isakov.

B) The Kropotkin, Lt. Comm. Vilkov, and the Reed, Lt. Delgann.

C) The Lenin, Lt. Comm. Soghdia, and the Larkin, Lt. Moja.

D) The Fidel Castro, Comm. Nihil, and the Abbey, Lt. Murrow.

The Internationale is a frigate, and has one SZ-15 helicoper on board, as does the corvette Fidel Castro. The Kropotkin is a multi-role patrol vessel as is the Lenin. Lastly, the Sandino, Reed, Larkin, and Abbey are all small patrol boats.

The A Group will shadow the leaders, from a good distance. B Group and C Group will keep good distance from the group, and will split off to follow stragglers or anyone else who seems to be splitting from the main group.
Group D will follow the last ship.

All of this is subject to change. The small patrol boats can stray from their parent ship, but, due to their size, will be at some risk. They are outfitted with fine bildge pumps, and emergency equipment.

Please let me know if any of this is not in step with your thoughts.

Fleet Admiral Japhy.

"What!?" yell Japhy.

"Sir, I am sorry, but it is going to take time"

"How long?"

"A few days.... at the least, sir"

"And none of the other ships have the communication range needed?"

"Maybe the Castro... but I think her main antenna was malfunctioning as well.... Sir, it will only take a few days to get this equipment up and running again...."

"Aye... continue with your work sailor... you have two days."

With that, Japhy turned and left the Communication Room.

In the last 48-hours everything had turned against him.

They had run into a storm when they were still a good two or three days from the starting point of the race. The small patrol boats they were towing were a major problem. The Internationale now had two precarioulsy half on, half off the aft deck. The Fidel Castro had one over her stern as well.

And for the latest problem, there was no one to blame but himself. He had ordered the main antenna raised, in a storm, to transmit a report to the heads of the race. And wouldn't you know it, but it is now not serviceable. The Radioman think he can fix it, but Japhy even knows that the problem is outside... on the antenna itself. They will have to wait for the storm to clear.

Until then... they will keep fighting the storm, and will probably end up having to chase the contestants down.

Japhy looked out the bridge windows, at the raging storm... his old and weathered face cracked a little smile. He looked at the pale Helmsman...

"Here we go...."

"Please listen to all the info carefully." Said a robust sailor. "This race will be treterous and even dangerous. We've looked at weather reports about 1000 miles out, and they aren't looking too favorable. Now the goal will be this Island Military Station at 60-50 That is south longitude, and west lattitude. Now their will be seveal check points at these markers on the map here. You are required to check in at every station. Here Motor Milage will be checked, we have personally seen to it, that all motors are clocked at 00000. Now again rules state motors are NOT to be used unless in the event of an emergency, namley medical. Sufficent evidence will need to be provided to prove such an emergencie aroused, and we will check, and you will need to radio it in, immediatley.

Now if the weather becomes to rough for you to handle, you are to send out a May-Day Call, and their will be aids to pick you up.

We ask that all racers maintaing the sailing ettiqute, that means no attacking competators, and of course yeilding right of way. Stay off non check point islands for safty, and international reasons, unless again needed. Now should you become stranded, we recommend you try to start a bon-fire, or lay out a pattern telling of distress. Planes will routinely fly over to check up on racers.

Now enough supplies should be stocked to last, but should your rations run out, please inform via radio, and report. Judging from your report will determine if you can make it to the Check Point, or if Remote Service will be needed.

Now your plot should follow as this:

Check Point A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H, untill you finally reach, Check Point I which will be the goal. The first into harbor, wins the grand prize. Try not to drift off course, don't deter from your course. These are all you need to know, so good luck."

Log entries Of Davy Jones:

2300 hours
Lt. Dunbar, made a specific pint to make sure that the sail was stowed for the time being, at least until the start of the race, upon which time it would be unfurled, I checked out the weather, and the starting area, and found what I believe is the best vantage point.

0300 hours
Lt. Dunbar and myself, woke the crew and went over pre-race inspection, then got the boat out of dry dock, then went to culture center for breakfast.

0400 hours
We then reported to the conference room, checked the charts for ‘pit stops’, secured fishing gear, and either ate our food or picked it up to eat later on the voyage.

0500 hours
Boat underwent sea trials in harbor, then lined up for the race. (Sail still stowed) Everything looks OK, but the boat is still green.

0600 hours
We paddled out leisurely, no need to have a collision this early (5 to 15 knots)

0700 hours
We Unfurled sails outside of harbor, then sent crews to spin the props by hand or row. Lt. Dunbar demonstrated how to use the controls to steer and trim the boat, which was rather unique. He then adjusted a control mechanism that caused the boat to raise itself 24" out of the water, where we gained yet more speed. He then ordered the rowers to take a rest and the peddlers to start charging the batteries. (30 to 45 knots, 35 Knots sustained)

1200 hours
Slowed down. Rendezvous with MPP-2 Flying boat, pick up UL2000 floatplane(s), supplies and cooked meal. Then Restarted hydroplanig in the fasion described above.

1400 hours
Check up on other teams via short-wave radio. 2nd shift takes control. One of Lt. Dunbar's men, "X" I believe, climbed into the crow's nest carring a rather large parcel. Lt. Dunbar says he was carrtying up the radio antena for a better vantage point.

Angelo: "Your right Miyu. But don't worry. As long as we keep a constant look out, we'll be prepared for any storm."

"Anna, Angelo, Makito, we just recived a call. There is a storm due north of us. We had better batten down."

"Gear up." Angelo said. That was a sign for everyone to get into their rain gear, and preparer for bad weather. Anna put on a pink rain-coat, pink boots, pink hat. Heck pink was her favorite color. Miyu in yellow, Makito in blue, Angelo in orange. The sky darkend, and rain began to fall lightly. Makito hoisted up the storm sails, while Anna, steadied everything bellow. Angelo stead fast at the wheel, preapring for the worst. Now the brink of it was upon them. Massive waves, thunder, lightning, wind, rain.

Checked weather report, Bad news, More and bigger storms.

Good news, Dunbar told me he was confident that the boat would make it, not sure if it would be fastest in a storm, but faster than most.

Set up the small square mast, which would be just sufficient to keep the boat hydroplaning, with a little help below decks, running the man powered water turbines.

Lunch was eaten reluctantly by the crew, nobody dared to go into the crow's nest, antenna neatly stowed below decks. Will check weather forecasts later.

"Come on Josh we have to get up!"

Both scrambled on the tossing and turning boat, putting on their rain gear. As soon as they got out on deck, both slipped and fell. Rosette grabbed Josh, and pulled him up. Rosette grabbed the wheel, but could barley support her self. Thunder crashed. Josh stuggled at the mast. He held on tightly. The boat was being bashed by the harsh storm. Josh slipped falling down onto the hard wood deck. Rosette saw him lying, and ran to him. "Joshua, are you okay? Speak to me." He utterd lightly. Rosette dragged him down bellow. She pulled his coat and hat off. "Take it easy Josh." Thunder boomed. Rosette took off her coat and hat, and her wet tank. Leaving only her bra. She lied next to Josh, and just waited the storm out.

The Dian Teams had been in contact with one another via radio the whole time.

The weather was getting to be of a little concern and it was decided that if the winds picked up anymore in the what seemed from the satalite communications to be perhaps a threatening situation to take the sails down till after the storm passed and go on human power and keeling alone, hatches were made ready to baton down/airseal and the crew got their oxygen systems and survival supplies ready.

Upon hearing the mayday it was agreed that the lagging boat would change course to assist with the emergency and the other boat that was now about 5 nautical miles back from the two lead boats would alter it's course slightly to assist if there is need for more.

The Radio

"This is ICCD crew x4 we are altering course and can take on anyone in immediate need of medical response. We have advanced military responder medical training and naval emergency prep training. Z cut the engine and gave the best glide he could towards the deck of the boat in the storm, but given that the plane was only equiped with floats, skidded to a halt after sliding from the stern and hung up against the bow rail.

He then hopped out and asked what was the matter.

Z notices a piece of someone's shirt being used to hold down the mast. Instinctively, he pulled a tow rope out of his plane's toolkit and made it fast to the sail and handed the wrung out shirt to who he considered the 'Captian'.

He then made it apparent that he was stuck on the boat until the storm cleared enough for him to take off. And apologised if he had startled them upon his arrival. He also mentioned a flickering light and asked what had caused it.

A few wondered where 'Z' went off to, until the noticed a plane missing from the storeroom. Then it was clear where he was, and they would have to remain in contact with the stricken vessel until the sky cleared.

"Hello hello? Anyone there?" And silence. The radio had died out. Now they we're on their own. Rather scary.

Mind if I borow the flashlight and telling me the extent of the damage to the ship?

He then relayed the information via Morse code to the PROHT ship, which responded confirmation and acknowladgement.

Annabella also looked over the damage her self. It seemed moderate to her. "I don't think you'll have too much to worry about. Some things could be fixed though. "
