President Roland spoke calmly and quietly to the counsil and the audience in the stadium:

"You maybe wondering why I have invited our past enemies to meet us here in Red Frozopia. And now I can finally tell you why."

"As you well realise The Lone Alliance have roughly a quarter of Frozopia under its grasp, and up untill now It seemed there was no chance of us reclaiming it. The Lone Alliance soldiers are numerous and good warriors, and although In combat I know we would eventually obtain success, It would come at the loss of thousands of Frozopians."

"Hence I have invited The Lone Alliance here to discuss a peacefull way of reuniting the Frozopian peoples. They have sent me a number of proposals, but rather than tell you now, I want you to listen to them put their points forward."

"You maybe wandering why The Lone Alliance is suddenly keen on reuniting this half of Frozopia: Well I can tell you why. The Lone Alliance have war infront of them with the Kravanian's and their allies, and with all likely hood it will be a long and difficult war. Hence to reduce their problems, they have offered us a deal to give back Lone Frozopia peacefully, to prevent future conflicts within the area."

"I only ask that you listen to their arguments, and take it into consideration. Today could be a great day for our country, so let us not let it slip out of our fingers."

The Aequatian government is glad to see the progress being made in the reunification of the Frozopian nation and is honoured to be taking part in the process. With the permission of those involved, we would like to send a representative to act as a observer to the conference.

General Arnold Saltzman,
Aequatian Head of State

"It's good that we be allowed to discuss this, as in the last war we are hesitant to force anymore hardship on the people of Frozopia." President Roland looked like he was getting impatient. "Therefore, in agreement to a vote by around half of the South Frozopia's populace we will hand over control over the Government to the new Frozopian government."

"However there are terms," Morris said. "I hope that you'll be able to accept them, hopefully none of them are too harsh or strong."

He picked out a list and began to read loudly.

-After the war many citizens of The Lone Alliance moved here for the more open Business policies in Frozopia. We ask that you allow these Lone Alliance citizens that moved in to apply for citizenship in Frozopia.

-During this occuipation, we produced a naval base, we would like to remain in control over it, it's fairly isolated, we'll pay rent on the land, and it's self sufficent, also we would like to keep our Embassy in operation.

-If the upcoming war tries to include Frozopia, defend it from them instead of surrendering to their forces.

-Don't invade the remaining sectors, I can assure you they won't allow you to suceed.

-Lastly, and most importantly to my Government, don't execute massive numbers of your population because of either their Religious or Political beliefs.
We have a big problem with that.

Brigadier Gregor Mann, as Aequatio's representative until a civilian replacement could be sent, sat in on the conference and had listened to Tenor Morris' speech. "I believe that the Lone alliance offer is more than reasonable, however, I would like to hear the others' comments on it before I make a decision on voting."

Most of the rest of the council were nodding before he finished his list. These people backed Roland all the way, and If this is what Roland wanted well it was good enough for the rest of them.

One man however, stood up. His name was Greckok, a infamous Communist. Barely obtaining a majority in one of the 17 voting sections of Frozopia, he would throw anything into the Frozopian Leadership regime to break it down.

"These terms are preposterous! We should hang every Lone Alliance man all across Frozopia! And when this is done, we should drive those Leafanistany and Mckagan bastards out of the country! For good! I believe...."

Suddenly he was interupted by a large booing noice from the audience. It was a miracle the Commie ever got in the counsil anyways, and he had very little support in the audience. Roland remained silent but looked embarassed. Holding up his hands, he hushed the audience.

"Greckok, Greckok." He spoke. "Are these terms not fair? Will they not unite Frozopia once again! I understand your anger, yes I do. But the past must be forgotten. Do you not agree?"

"You bastard! You think Frozopia should ally with these scum?" Indicating The Lone Alliance representative.

Roland cut in.
"Enough of your childishness. Frozopia will be united despite your constant meaningless whinging. Let us hold a vote. Who is in favour of this decision."

Immediatly the counsil, all but Greckov held up their hands.
"Then it is settled. We will accept your terms, but on one condition Mr Morris. You will Frozopia in its peaceful aims to unite all of Frozopia. Will you back us?"

Roland waited patiently for him to answer.....

Morris looked from each council member, pausing to give a dirty look to Greckok then moving on to face Roland. "We agree that there should eventually be a united Frozopia. and it must be through non violence." I sadly can guarantee you that a force of arms against the remaining powers will be fatal to all of us." The stadium grew quiet as a tomb, "Your people, my people who now call your nation home, this land which is yet now recovering from it's scars, could be destroyed if open war erupted."

"Hopefully in time the eventual will of the Frozopians in the occuipied zones will reach a loud shout like in ours and the demand to reunite will be loud enough that even they will obey, but even if now it not the time, the addition of our area makes Frozopia extend coast to coast on the former nation, and you should have plenty of room to expand for at least the next 10 years."

"We can only hope my friend, we can only home."
As the pleasantries finished and the men ambled out of the stadium, Greckok was spotted muttering evily to his few supporters, but largely the Frozopians looked happy and ignorant of his mutterings.. Roland however, would keep his eye on Greckok.....

Mann had been one of the members that had voted for the offer proposed by the Lone Alliance representative. He felt a sense of pride in that he was finally doing something fulfilling with his career, it was why he had joined the Aequatian Army, to help those who needed the great nation's help. He had seen that the loud man named Greckok seemed to scurry off to his cohorts, he didn't feel that they were much of a threat to the unification movement, but they would still be an irritating problem.
