ooc: ORBAT to come...

The Islands of Sao Tome and Principe...
The Four MC-130J-30 aircraft approached the island of Principe low and fast. They had been flying all night across from Neuvo Rican naval facilities in Nigeria, and now the island was in sight. The 280 fully equipped airborne infantry on board prepared to disembark.
Once the aircraft had thundered onto the short runway in the north of the island, the state of chaos the island was in became all to apparent. Now the planes had stopped, the Airforce troops disembarked to form a perimeter.
Subteniente Ramirez, head of this specific airborne operation was one of the last to file off. Already he could hear bursts of fire from the M16A4 assault rifles that equipped the paratroopers.
Ramirez:Where's that coming from?
Soldado di Primera (SdP) 1: Our advance patrols encountered locals at the northern edge, they're attacking with guns, we have no option but to return fire...
Ramirez:Try not to kill too many...
SdP1:Yes sir!
The SdP saluted before running back off into the darkness to aid the troops. Now Ramirez went back inside the aircraft, and up to the cockpit...
Ramirez; This is airborne unit one, operating out of Laguna del Inginiero in Nigeria, we have secured our immediate surroundings and await further orders
Radio:Hold your position, the navy are sending in infantry by helicopter - there's a fleet in the area, expect their arrival in the next 15 minutes...
-----------------------------
0400 hrs, 2 hours until sunrise...
The paratroopers had seized the northern town of Santo Antonio and other progress was going well. At 0400 hrs twelve CH-53 and 4 OH-58D helicopters arrived, carrying 300 extra marines, as well as some light vehicles. Now, however - the marines came up against a problem. About 1200 militia from the island inhabitants had seized Infante dom Henrique, on the south of the island and they had so far held off the numerically inferior paratroopers.
The 4 OH-58Ds were dispatched immediately, and after half an hour of constant bombardment from the deadly NR-230 Dumbfire rockets on the helicopters, the militia gave in to the Neuvo Rican advance.
--------------------------------
0500 hrs, 1 hour until sunrise...
The fleet had positioned itself halfway between the islands, and now over 4000 marines with the fleet were getting ready to land on Sao Tome. The choppy atlantic waters were causing the ships to sway, as the marines embarked on LCACs.
Marine Air Corps F-111L bombers and EF-111 recon aircraft were probing the island. A few stingers from the militia elements, but nothing serious. The 8 LCACs started out towards the larger southern island.
---------------------------------
Sunrise...
The sun enlightened the beach, as the LCACs advanced towards their position. As the craft bumped over the last 'ridge' of waves before the shoreline, the town of Sao Tome came into view.
The marines onboard started preparing guns for the landing. Inside, a digital display started to count down...
5...4...3...2...1... the entire boat rumbled as the ship crashed ashore, carrying the marines up the beach, where they dismounted and moved into the town.
-----------------------------------
NEUVO RICAN STATEMENT
Following the collapse of Soviet Sith control over the islands of Sao Tome and Principe, Neuvo Rican Air Force and Marine units annexed the islands in favor of the Neuvo Rican empire. Once complete control has been assumed, the islands will be handed to the nation of Bjornoya in exchange for Sierra Leone.
