Arash Oil Platform: Arabian Sea, 50 miles off the Coast of Parthia
The Imperial Oil and Petroleum Corporation had long maintained platforms in the Arabian Sea, some were producing at an extremely high capacity, but a few of the older ones were losing production and productivity. The Arash Platform was the oldest, and was producing little compared to what the others were, only a skeleton crew remained, and now, they would be evacuated, so that in one week time, the platform could be taken into deeper water and scuttled. As the last personnel left, the platform was left abandoned for several hours, then, from the empty horizon, they came, sailing vessels, crewed with long haired environmentalists, ships bearing the logo of Greenpeace pulled along the platform, moving up the boarding ramps and stairs to the platform itself, and rasing a flag upon the pole where a Parthian one once flew.
From the communication room, they sent a message to the government of Parthia: "This is Greenpeace, we are protesting the plan of the Imperial Oil Corporation from scuttling a platform in the ocean. We call upon you to force these corporate theives from ruining the environment! We call upon you to make them cease their actions!"
Persepolis Palace
Faramarz Rashti sat upon the rug laid out on the floor, propped up by the silk cusions as he drank a bit of tea from the golden cup. Across from him, the Shah sat, doing the same, before Faramarz spoke, "Great Lord, I am in no doubt that your Most Imperial Majesty is familiar with the report of the Greenpeace terrorists seizing my oil platform, of course, I would like to reccomend Your Imperial Majesty destroy the Greenpeace fools with extreme force, so as to show them their Communist ways are not tolerated in Parthia." The Shah drank a bit of tea, pondering a minute, then spoke, "Of course my friend, they are in international waters, but have seized Parthian property, so thus, they are in violation of our territory. They are in easy range of access by a Parthian airbase in Chah Bahar, so we can easily destroy any hope of them escaping or continuing with their actions. You are free to go, my friend, know that the military will bring this to a speedy conclusion."
Delta Strike Force, Chah Bahar Airbase
Five F/A-91s rocketed off the runways, picking up speed as they tore into the sky, grouping into a delta wing formation as they moved towards the position of the Arash Oil Platform. Captian Bijan Taheri was flying in the front and center of the delta, leading two planes following to either side. He smiled at what he thought would be an amusing turkey shoot, no guided missiles were needed, just two rocket pods on each wing and the cannon. Their mission was simple, neutralize the Greenpeace vessels in the area, and take out any others moving into it, so as to ensure the people on the platform could not escape by the time helicopters full of Paracommandos could arrive.
These Paracommandos were loading onto helicopters back in Chah Bahar, 5 blackhawks carrying 5 squads of 10 paracommandos each took off, flying into the skies and out onto the ocean, readying their weapons for when they arrived.
As the helicopters took off, the F/A-91s were in visual range of the Greenpeace ships around the platform, three vessels, two sailing vessels, and one yacht sized ship were anchored about 50 feet from the platform. They were painted in green, some with a rainbow along the sides, others with the words Greenpeace in white letters. The planes broke formation, flying around and dropping flares, prompting the ships to start making way, moving away from the platform. As they moved about 1000 feet from it, the planes took action, flying directly at them and lining up an attack pattern. Captian Taheri struck first lining his sights up with the Rainbow Warrior II, then unleashing a barrage of rockets, blasting the ship with at least four of the ten he fired, blasting massive holes in the roof and sides, spilling flaming oil into the ocean they loved so dearly. He turned around, setting loose another barrage, tearing the vessel apart in a chorus of flame. Three of his wingmen set themselves up with the other two vessels, chartered sailing boats, then unleashed rockets, streaking into their targets like blinding flashes of light. One sank quickly as the stern was torn off in a massive explosion, while the other slowly capsized from a massive hole dealt to its left side. They now moved about in a box pattern around their targets, flying low and strafing the survivors of the vessels with their guns as they threw themselves into the waters, continuing until the blackhawks arrived, then proceeding back to base.
The helicopters set themselves up in a circular flight around the plaform, their 7.62mm miniguns trained on the greenpeace members, each then quickly offloading the troops. Men trained their rifles on the Greenpeace members, demanding they get on the ground immediatley or be shot. One spoke up, "I refuse to submit to your oppression!" The Paracommandos simply laughed, then shot him, forcing the rest to cower as they were put in handcuffs and thrown into a Pave-Low helicopter that had been dispatched for that purpose, before being extracted by their blackhawks.
Greenpeace had been dealt with by a forceful display, their flagship vessel destroyed, and their reputation tarnished. Now, 33 of their members were imprisoned in Parthia, and their fate would not be pleasant, they would probably face execution.
